Thank u for the recipe I will definitely give it a try❤❤❤❤❤❤
I hope you do!
Bigger Bolder Baking Almond flour will work fine as well!!
You guys are sooo cool, but baby George steals the show! 😘 And the first time I ever heard of waffles eating pancakes.
How much applesauce would replace the two mashed bananas? Thanks, Gemma! ✨🙏✨
Rescuing flourless pancake lovers, a cute George cameo, Kevin's wild man hair, and jammies to die for! What more could we ask for? :)
We aim to please, Gerarda! Thank you for watching as always. :)
I definitely want to see more episodes like this hope everyone is staying safe
Thank you so much, Felicia. We're always trying new things. What did you like about it?
@@GemmaStafford It felt really relaxing!
@@GemmaStafford The casual, homey feel with everybody in their pjs was great, especially in these crazy times
Agreed! I particularly liked the fact that, as it isn't edited, you are showing the whole process in real time. Thats brilliant! Maybe lunch/dinner edition in the future? Take care, and thanks for keeping on filming for us :)
Bigger Bolder Baking well I asked in another comment “Can you do a simple series (nothing fancy or complicated, just daily food) that goes like this “no eggs? Or baking soda? Dairy?” etc and you replied with a list of healthy recipes..?? I just meant recipes like this one you posted with essential ingredients we can’t get right now. Thanks.
To be honest, I actually love those videos -- they are more simple, natural, and above all, more real authentic, and we truly need more of that! Pajamas and all! Thank you for making them
You've got it! Thanks for watching. :)
Thank you for the kind words.
wordsaremytrade agree!
This is so true, very easy on the pocket.
I love all the chit chat. I'm missing people during this pandemic.
"Because I didn't say baking soda, I said baking powder. Do what I say...." 😂😂😂
You know it!
He has a good point though I always wonder what the difference is or are they the same
@@taz12184 No, they're not the same. Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate (often known as "bicarbonate of soda " or simply "bicarb") and nothing else. It relies on added acid (such as lemon juice) or simply heat for it to release its bubbles of carbon dioxide in your batter to make the batter rise as it cooks.
Baking powder has a dry, solid acid (such as potassium hydrogentartrate, "cream of tartar") and a filler such as flour or cornflour in addition to the sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) so no external acid is required. In this case, simply adding water (either as such or contained in milk etc) dissolves the acid which then reacts with the bicarb to produce the carbon dioxide bubbles.
So basically baking powder = baking soda + cream of tartar + filler (e.g. cornflour), and you can make your own baking powder by mixing 1 tsp each of baking soda and cornflour with 2 tsp cream of tartar.
@@stuartofblyth excellent info and diy recipe, thank you!
she could have clarified and provided a proper response
I made these yesterday for my Sunday Breakfast and they were absolutely delicious! They were exactly as Gemma described them..The vanilla in the batter made these absolutely divine..I still can't believe that a recipe that so full of nutrients actually resulted in pancakes tastier than the regular pancakes!
This is a MUST TRY, no matter if u have flour or not..
I'm delighted to hear that Vatsal. Thank you for sharing and for the kind words.
I love when the whole family does things together! GOD bless
My oldest grandson has been making pancakes since he was 3 with me and the secret ingredient is melted butter . He has made these at school and taught his other gran how to make them. He loves banana bread so these would be right up his street, he’s 14 next month and has Asperger syndrome. He starts 3rd year in high school in August fingers crossed the schools are opened then and he has picked home economics as one of his subjects. Love your channel and baby George is gorgeous. Stay safe and god bless x
Thanks for your lovely note, Ann Marie. Your grandson is a Bold Baker for sure! :)
Ann Marie, my son has Aspergers and is 30 now. He found his specialty in pies. Made them for all the gatherings. Now he kneads my bread dough due to my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. He makes it so funny by talking to the bread. We were so lucky to have him and Im sure you feel the same about your grandson.
Ann Marie and Candice, great that your grandsons have cooking skills. My dad had an often used phrase, what did they teach you in school? I didn't graduate college knowing how to cook or clean.
You can substitute the dairy butter with Country Crock plant based butter substitute...then it will be healthier.
Been using home-made oat flour for years! I just quickly grind dry Quaker Oats in an electric coffee bean grinder, as needed. Oats are about a hundred times healthier for you than nasty, devitalized white flour! You get a nice load of heart-healthy and elimination-healthy natural fiber with oats. And, another added bonus, oats are very soothing to your nervous system. Remember to use oat flour wherever you can in other home-baked goodies such as for brownies, cookies and cakes.
Always bake with oat flour breads carrott cake the lot
Baby George is a show stealer! Love cutie pies
You've got it, Matt. You just wait until he can bake. ;) Thanks for watching!
matt mallecoccio I talk to the videos!!!🤣💕🤣🤣 like I’m there.
He sure is!
You are truly helping people...as you say “you like doing “real”. Love you guys, and that babyyy!🥰 George ! Cute pjs, cute all ya’s .👏
Thank you for your lovely note, Rann. That means a lot to me. Just want to help you all keep baking through this. :)
How to cook jalebe
Love how real you guys are. Very refreshing!
I love that you always give alternatives where you can. As I live in South Africa our ingredients are not always the same as yours and the alternatives really help. Thanks
I'm delighted to know that I'm able to help bakers in some way.
Especially the brown sugar I’m pretty sure that theirs is so much thicker
Heartily agreeing, from over here in the Caribbean 😎 🌴
Thanks Kevin for stepping up and keeping Gemma’s channel going strong. So great to see-you make an awesome couple. Sweet George is the syrup in this perfect start to my day. Going to make these pancakes right now.

Those pancakes look so good!! Also, I didn't even know you could use an immersion blender for dry stuff😅
Give it a try! :)
I wish I had one. :( I'll have to make do with my very old, very non-powerful blender. At least I have that though. Don't take anything for granted! √
@@GemmaStafford what kind of blender is it?

Bigger Bolder Baking Would definitely love to see more of what you do with sourdough. Been making lots of no knead bread using it and just recently started using it to make sourdough English muffins. Been looking around your site for a sourdough pizza crust. Have you done more beyond your sourdough bread? Thanks for sharing your family with your viewers it’s great to see the support for what you do! And Georgie is such a cutie!!

Well done, Livia!
I’ve been watching ur videos for so long now and ur mug microwave videos has helped me to realize that there is more to a microwave than just being used to reheat things hehe❤️
It can do a lot of things aside from just heating food. Use in moderation, but it's good to know you can have a quick fix for some food anytime, at single serve portions.
Love your recipe's this looks amazing!😋🌈
Thank you for your lovely note! :)
Definitely enjoyed watching this video

I loved this video so much. It had such a nice cozy feel and the recipe was amazing. Please make more videos like this!
Thank you for the glowing review.
I really love the format of Kevin asking questions and watching you two have a conversation
If you can, you should try doing a livestream during quarantine where Kevin could read off questions while you bake and people could bake with you. I know you are limited so no worries if not, but could be really fun
I think it's a great idea. We will see what we can do. :)
Love watching your videos that Kevin does seems more natural than when the crew does them. Keep up the fantastic videos ! You guys stay safe.
