I make this all the time and it is delicious. To save my arthritic hands from all that shaking (yes, it starts to hurt) I gently heat the sweetened condensed milk and whole milk (or half and half) until they come together with some gentle stirring. I let that mixture cool and then add the vanilla. This method also keeps the sweetened condensed from separating after sitting in the fridge.
@@ModestCatholicRose I used 1 cup. If you’re using a small container of half and half I’d use the whole thing. If you have a big medium size half and half I’d use half of the container.
Truthfully that didn’t even cross my mind to do lol. But I plan to make another video like this making it with homemade condensed milk. And even different flavors
I don't know when u made this video. Sweetened condensed milk is a lot more than 89 cents a can. Walmart is 1.64 a can and name brand is 2.99. But I'm going to try it
That is actually a really good question! So I looked up some homemade coffee creamer recipes and all of them use sweetened condensed milk. And that got me thinking of how we can make it without the condensed milk. So I’m going to do some research and make a video on it! I have an idea I want to test out, because now I’m curious too. I will let you know my findings!
Consider using regular milk or evaporated milk and then sweeten to taste. One recipe on YT uses an evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk combination.
@@carrington2949 I was going to suggest as well. Back in the day folks just used half and half or evaporated milk and sweetened with your sweetner of your choosing.
So...... no explanation on expiration time. No making of the condensed milk, no making of the vanilla. Just mix store-bought ingredients and you've got a jar of creamer that will last for 12 days in the fridge.
Yeah it’s pretty easy and simple. Even with store bought ingredients. But you know what I do like what you say, I am going to make a video with making homemade condensed milk. And different flavors! Thanks for the idea!
If you make it, you can figure out when yours will expire based off which of your ingredients will expire first. Milk / half and half/ heavy cream all have short shelf life . Look for their expire dates

@@EastTexasFoodie Oh that is not a bad idea. I’ll need to try that some time! Thanks for the tip!
I made this today with not much expectations actually, but it is really really good. Yum..
Thank you!! I am glad you liked it!!

This is awesome. Going to try this. Thank you. New friend
You’re very welcome! Let me know how it turns out!
Why didn’t you make the condensed milk

Yeah the prices just keep going up and up! When you try it let me know how yours turns out!
I had to stop using Splenda years ago. It was causing me to have severe migraine headaches. There's some really "bad for you" ingredients in Splenda.
@@troyyarbrough Oh that doesn’t sound good at all. I am sorry for that. What do you use now?
Why use Splenda for starters when the creamer has SWEETENED condensed milk, let alone 6 packs?
I like my coffee sweet. Always have.
Homemade extracts are very cheap to màke and keep on hand...
Is there any way to make homemade creamer without using sweetened condensed milk? I find that stuff is just too sweet to me.

I have heard some people use half and half and pure vanilla extract, so maybe you can give that a shot and see how it tastes
Loved it.

Honestly you should just get a gallon pf ice cream . Then a large coffee cup and scoop to it
Nice way to keep you fat and diabetic
For some reason that sounds kind of good lol. I wonder how it would taste
Yes I agree! And I don’t want to be either of those things lol
