Wow I’m never here early for a Hannah video. Always great to hear your thoughts and life updates. It’s interesting to hear you weren’t happy after quitting Disney. I remember watching the channel then and not realising, which is a good reminder in not totally believing someone’s ‘best life’ being presented on UA-cam. Keep up the great work!
Actually a lot of the travel was great but a lot of it was also… not great 😅 I talked about it a little bit on the channel but no one likes sad content non-stop!

Totally agree that Japan is underrated for nature. It's definitely one of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL countries in the world! It really has it all.

On the word "content", I've personally never felt like when I watch your videos I'm watching content. Your videos to me are more like mini documentary's! They are so professionally made and edited, yet they still feel personal and in the moment. You are film maker! (not a content creator, at least in my eyes idk if that helps lol). Love your stuff! Slowly planning my first trip to Japan and hoping to travel a good chunk of the country because of the beautiful places I've gotten to see in your videos!

Idea of taking Jeep to New Zealand is perfect! So hard to get around without a car and can really get into the nooks and crannies of the country. Hope you make it work! Ireland also similar too :)

Western Canada is always a solid choice due to all of our mountains! I'm still discovering new trails every year. Eva zu Beck passed through here, so you know you gotta go too.

I think I discovered your channel sometime before/around the start of the pandemic. I remember the deep dives nobody asked for series. I remember sitting down and binging your older videos at that point and fell in love. From the start I love this genuinity you always had and I never seen in anywhere else. You're still a favourite channel of mine! I love Japan as someone who grew up watching anime, but during my time here so far, you helped reignite and grow my love for it even more. Along with learning about more truths, instead of all the pretty things potrayed online. I learn to not be blinded and take things with a little pinch of salt, no country is perfect after all. But Japan still's pretty perfect in some ways, teehee!
Thank YOU too for making such great videos, also surprised to hear that you weren't happy after disneyland. Really reminds me that what people potray aren't always the truth. Pat on the back and virtual hug? handshake? (whichever you consent to) for making it through that period. Glad to see you in a better place, I can certainly see the glow and change.

What a surprise! I opened up UA-cam and your video was right at the top! I am glad you are doing well. I lived and worked in the Tokyo area back in the late 80's but regret not getting out to see more of the country. Your videos really showed off the beauty of Japan. Watching them is like going there in person. Hope to see more of your travels.

I'm loving the overland *content* so much. I'd love to do some trips across Japan! I've done a few trips in New Zealand and the US, but usually just with a regular car, a tent, and a camping stove. But the car has always been specifically chosen to be able to lay the back seats down flat and then use an inflatable camping mattress to make a comfortable bed. Then when it's just too damn cold for a tent, you can get a good night sleep in the car.
Yeah that's the joy of having a van that over-landing makes a little more difficult. Not as favourable for inclement weather or stealth camping haha
We all hope your visa is approved too so we can continue watching your vlogs, watching this channel evolve over the years has been very interesting and to see the young lady you are now compared to a few years back has been great to follow.... yes I am old lol

Hahah exactly! I took a roadtrip with my family when I was about 12 and we drove to Uluṟu and it was a wild experience. Crazy to see THAT much land with nothing else around 😆

I'm very glad that you are in a good place. I get that your home country will feel less interesting to you than Japan or other places, but for what it's worth, I would love to have a 6-8 week "Hannah drives all the way around Australia" series (that is to say, 6-8 weeks for you and 3-4 months worth of content).

I believe we're the same age, or atleast close. And watching you always feels like watching a friend. I think we would vibe pretty well together, that makes youre videos that much more enjoyable! This one eas also a lot of fun and i can NOT hear the word content anymore, GET IT OUT! Haha super excited to see where the jeep is gonna take you. Round trip Japan sounds like a dream~ (as a Korean expat, round trip korea is still a bucket list, and while doing so taste all the different 막걸리 rice wines).

Great video, thank you for the insight, I've been working more on my photography and I'm excited to visit Japan during the summer this year. Your instagram has been inspiration for me to try harder at both photography and also my videography. Which BTW the algorithm usually don't show your stuff on my feed, usually when you post a story I'm reminded to go look and see if you have new posts. Only sometimes will a post be like the first thing I see on my feed.

5:30 Same with Canada. I can drive 6 hours in Ontario and still be in Ontario with about 8 more hours of driving to get out.
I think a lot of us would agree, that the videos you put out are of so high quality, “content” does it a disservice haha. Have you ever been approached by television company/production, as either a cinematographer or camera operator? I know you have presented, but your talent is way up there. It would probably take away the creative freedoms you have know, which is a hinderance. Anyways, keep up the great work!

Thank you for sharing your amazing adventures. I really enjoyed seeing the pictures and places you share on your channel. Your artwork, not content, is wonderful. Anyone can make content. It is just filler. It takes skill to create artwork.
I have been a hobby photographer since the days of 35 mm film. I know that really shows my age. Anyway, in a photographer group I was in, we had a yearly challenge. It goes like this. Take 1 day and shoot 10 memorable moments. Then you share them with your group. We would discuss the shots and the setup for each. This might make an interesting addition to your channel. This would allow you to showcase your still photography art. Maybe you could get some of your photography and UA-cam friends to take up a challenge like this. It's just a crazy idea for you to consider trying. I am looking forward to seeing what you create in the future.

There are lots of second hand car in NZ that were imported from JP so it should be easy to ship your Jeeps here. NZ has so many great camp sites, and if you drive 6 hours you can probably drive from the Auckland to Wellington which has so many different views on the way (a Chinese fan commenting from NZ

Have you ever thought of selling travel itineraries? I mean rather than leading a group personally u can just sell standard itineraries at low prices and custom ones at higher charge. I went to Scotland last year and I purchased one from Secret Scotland and it was very helpful.
Asking because I'm planning a camping trip with kids in June around mount Fuji and I would be happy to pay for one haha

I too hate the word 'Content' when relating to jobs like this. I think it massively devalues the thing that you are creating by referring to it as such. When I shoot videos for work/other YT channels, I just say I'm shooting footage/photos. Same goes for the phrase 'Content Creation' - I hate the connotations attached to it.
I always think that you are better at enjoying Japan than Japanese people. I hope you can stay in Japan as long as possible. Also looking forward to the future. I support you.
