- Coming at you with some unfiltered behind the scenes footage from one of my most recent photoshoots! I’ve taken away all of the excess cuts and background music to reveal how I offer direction and encouragement to the model while on location… I hope you enjoy📸
Throughout the video I switch between 3 lenses: the 20mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.4 and 50mm f/1.2

Love the setup of these videos you do! Very raw, natural way of capturing your photoshoots :) maybe some quiet music in the background but keep explaining your actions as you did here that was super helpful!!

It wasn't the amazing quality shots for me, it was the new balances that showed me he meant business! lol no but all jokes aside I LOVED everything about this shoot. The vision, the amazing communication, AND BOTH outfits.

Great video as always, definitely a fan of your work. I think I prefer the BTS with music, it's just a better vibe when you have it in. But these videos still work too.

How is this "unedited" in any way?
To each his own as many would say, but man... the post-processed photos in this video look overdone. The skin tone is so unflattering, and the shadows and mid-tones look muddy. If the intention is to create a dramatic-looking portrait, the photographer could have used a light modifier and created dramatic shadows. The actual lighting looks flat which is not an ideal light for a dramatic look. Overall, the editing is trying really hard to create a film look. If you are reading this comment, a good exercise to achieve a natural-looking film-look digital photo is to visit film lab websites. Take a good look at the real film shots by professional photographers and processed in established film labs. That way, you get to exercise your brain muscles to easily identify what makes a good film look. And one more thing, highlighting which camera model is used in the shoot doesn't help at all. I think one must learn some basics in portraiture first (how to avoid poorly lit eyes and weird unflattering eye positions, etc.) before buying the latest camera gears.
I feel like an intern. In a good way tho hahaha
