I totally agree. Sometimes I think they think/thought that this rebel song was too much for the public to swallow. It’s a rock song and a prayer in one. “Is honesty what you want?”
Someone should tell them they must perform this song live again! It is outstanding - the lyrics, the music, the message and the energy... takes you to another level!
According to my friend "I am the biggest U2 fan in the world" . And this is my favorite song ... shout... is honesty... and the drum solo of Mr. No attention out of a running train... fabulous... einfach geil

because they had 30 other equally great songs. it's always the songs that aren't played that seem more interesting. imagine if they stopped played "11 O Clock Tick Tock" after 1980?
This song is a masterpiece on the record. Too hard to play it live. This rendition is somewhat poor. Too demanding both for the drummer and for the lead vocals. And on the record there are keyboards and maybe more guitars (hard for me to tell) but they make a huge difference.

great song, i think on the next tour this song will be dusted off like into the heart a few years ago, be great live tune with more heavy guitar and drums, u2 should rock more

this is the only occurrence of this song having been played live, i went on yt especially to see if it had been recorded. From this record the only song they have never played live even once is The Refugee. i think one of the reason this was never played more too is because i think it soon lost its relevance as it is about the punk movement. I have a feeling Bono soon felt ambivalent about the song. I think the excuse that this was butchered live doenst stand....the sound is not good here but it doesnt in any way sound butchered.
actually i think Drowning man has only ever been snippeted but not played. I like all three of these songs and it sre is a shame they were not played live but i think drowning man would have suffered live likely
OMG the edge has the same sound than the studio version, this is one of my favorite u2 songs. I would like to listen again these songs instead of NLOH songs (with the exception of magnificent)

MP EQ Red Hill Mining Town was never played live. The very first time will be in the "The Joshua Tree Tour" this year
