Imagine you are just some random player going to do a bunker mission and you come out of QT right in the middle of this with tracers just flying everywhere.
That's the type of game gamers dream of your just like "doodo going on a trip in my favorite ship for my bunker shiiii.....HOLY FUCK WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE" As you from out of quantomonly to dodge left right and center to escape
This was a lot of fun and SC did its part by playing smoothly (considering the amount of action in one area) and no 30ks! This definitely shows off the game's potential and the amount of fun that can be had! Thanks @Dtox for putting this together.
I had no idea this kind of immersion was possible. Beautiful! This video should be relevant in SC for years to come. Future updates won't effect the viewability of this masterpiece. I enjoyed the crap outta this.
@@vazaruspaytonas7017 Not even corvettes, only large gunships + fighters. Corvettes are the first level of capital ships and there aren't any in this video. An RSI Polaris would be a corvette.
I'm amazed by how smoothly the game is running (by star citizen standards, of course) with such a massive battle taking place! I had no idea it was possible!
Oh it is. For some more than others. You *do* need a beast PC though. Just a shame the servers/game lets us down for now. It's improving though, this was unimaginable a couple years ago.
Awesome video. Really shows just how nailbitingly close it got there at the end. GGs IMI! You guys put up an outstanding fight. Looking forward to the absolute graveyard of Pathfinder and IMI shipwrecks we'll be leaving behind if we do this again in 3.18.
ABSOLUTELY EPIC! What a kickass edit! Loved helping out with piloting & recording. Ps.: Im still mad at myself that i didnt hear the cue to climb in round 2 ^^. But it is a learning experience for next time :D.
At 03:48 when he turns left and sees the battle from a distance and says ‘my god’ that’s a classic moment. Excellent video guys incredible you organised and edited all that. Really epic. Would’ve loved to see more POV changing turrets, running through the hammerhead as the emergency lighting reflects how bad the damage is. Perhaps next one can have an overview ship (neutral) that is just there to film epic moments? Great vid guys
Excellent video and narration works in this type of scenario perfectly. Unlucky on the defeat but it certainly looked a ton of fun. Those Redeemers are a living hell in the sky.
I have no words... this was so freaking awesome. Excellent work at getting all the video to make narrative sense in the chaos of the battle.... This made me want to jump straight back in SC and play again... sign of an amazing video... GG Pathfinders also ;) SO CLOSE!! Thanks for the content D, I'm so glad I joined all those years ago.
I don't think the Hammerhead is it yet, at least not until these speed changes come in. I expect it to get much stronger at that point, alongside some flak ammo, and some Perseus' to cover in a fleet battle. I can't wait until those videos from y'all.
This is perfect but I think there should be an option so that for friendly ships it only shows one diamond marker and no names. Then it wouldn’t be so heavy on the eyes
The most epic scene was the dive at 15:00. "Engage, Engage, Engage", "Main fleet engaging" diving into flak and then the pan to the guy who says "revving up the gun"...wow...the adrenaline rush on that one little 45second clip...
Great video! Solid editing.. and would also like to see related videos that were mostly or fully shot from one pilot. That way, we can get an idea of your POV/tactics for the screen squad, etc.
that's really awesome.. back in the day i played ace online which had massive weekly mothership wars similar to this but with thousands of players at once. this is the kind of organized content i want to see cig themselves develop and implement as the game nears completion!
this is most like surreal video I ever seen, js watching it I at times felt like I was actually there in space.. I cant imagine how much fun it would have been being there.
This is the kind of event that make SC fun when there's no other stuff to do, it will be up to orgs to make use of the current tools that are in game to provide a really good example of true multi player and multi team play and I hope CIG is watching because THIS is the kind of missions that makes being in a active org worthwhile, Imagine having this kind of event but open to active orgs with the other side completely AI controlled and providing a really good challenge all the while making use of the current combat ship lineup available in game. Missions like "planetary assault" or clearing the skies off a city. Excellet vid and I wish all the orgs in the game can be as active and provide current players the kind of gameplay that are featured in this kind of event.
Can't even imagine how good is going to be once they get ORG gameplay supported in SC. Considering that, you guys manage this really good, from both orgs. Congrats.
It's events organised by players like this, that make this game actually feel alive and like an actual game, what actually immerses you. Now I need more haha
Yo Starjump, i forgot to put your link in the description. Loved having this ability to show all the ships, looking forward to seeing Starjump evolve for things like this!
This was incredible. I am would love to see you guys do a few more videos with different fleet compositions. Maybe with one large Carrak as a cap ship and more fighters and gun boats as screens. Looks like so much fun!
this is an amazing video, both in terms of the scale of organization and recording, and in editing and narrative value. I can totally see an esport forming around team dogfighting.
The Redeemer's have the same shields as the hammerheads and are puny.... They need some balancing work since they can still do their role really well with a lot less shields. Good work on the video!
This was awesome guys. Beautiful showcase of the game right now in its state the battles looks awesome! Loved seeing the noise and decoys going off everywhere and lasers flying
What an amazing watch! A glimpse into what will hopefully be much more common in the future! I enjoyed every minute of this! Maybe in the future you could even have 1-2 observer ships or dedicated camera men for some more exterior shots? Either way this was absolutly awesome!
Fantastic! This is the kind of warfare i hope to see in sc! Dont get me weong dogfight lightfighter is fun! But lightfighters arent the only ships AND this is where its at

That is exactly why we run these sort of ops. Experiencing the potential of SC! Thanks for watching. You can always apply to my ORG and join my discord. Large scale ops are somewhat off the table at the moment though, we're waiting for CIG to fix this horrendous invisible player bug.
Thanks for watching man! Star Citizen has been in such a bad place for a long time now, this kind of content has become increasingly more difficult to produce. Hoping for better patches ahead.
So interesting! It feels to me that being able to tank damage effectively and ideally being able to out manoeuvre your attackers, in order to avoid damage and recharge shields whenever possible is more important than having high damage output. Which makes me think that when physicalised components are in and true shield management / overclocking etc. can be delegated to someone who is not the pilot, larger ships with the best component load outs will be even more powerful in these kinds of battles. And it would be so cool, although I don't know how they do this whilst retaining the level of plausible realism in the game, to have some kind of "CC" or at least area denial type of attacks, to better control the space in the battle zone. Awesome video DTOX. Great editing. Great story telling. 👏👏
I was disappointed you didn't include Tacview so that I could see how ships' movements and formations affected the battle, but then I remembered you weren't playing Falcon 4 BMS. Good fight.
Not bad, not bad ... 🙂 Immersion is great. Now let's extend battles by reinforcements and 3.18 gameplay and call it a day. Can't wait for all the new features including the stuff we know already (like soft death).
