    Tim, I'm sure I speak for many when I say thank you so much for filming videos in the woods, especially a video like this! I could tell you were in a pinch but you still filmed and it was such a cool video to for me to watch. So thank you! Take care!

    I appreciate you taking the time out of your production to set up, film, and edit these videos. I left this industry for another career but it was the most fun I ever got paid to have.

    Great video Tim. When I was young I could walk them logs. When I was a kid my grandpa would take over to the train tracks I loved trains and when on trains was there I would walk on the rails. Now have trouble walking on the flat ground. Stay safe and God bless you'll.

    Tim I have been watching your videos for a while now. I operate a knuckleboom with a pull through delimber. To answer any questions about comparing the two machines. Simply, there is no comparing. The process will process circles around a knuckleboom.

    Morning Tim Another good video. It's always amazing to me how much waste there is in the logging industry. You are in this business to sell logs and I get that. But I would think, out there somewhere, there must be some industry that would have a use for what is left over. A composter or some one. I see in Europe it is piled up and then shredded and hauled away. Where to I have no idea. Just my thoughts.

    • @cotontop3

      There’s multiple ways that u can make it measure. Zero saw, find end or measure from wherever u are on the tree.

      I've never ran a 624 but I've put in lots of time on a 622B which is supposed to be a 22" head but it'll do stuff up to around 28". 622C will do about 30-31". I would imagine the 624 would work up to about 34-35".

    Personal opinion:#1. SLOW DOWN! no wonder you ran out of wood so fast lmao speed demon. #2. Not everyone is receptive to video. Very true. #3. (Again personal opinion) its much cooler to see you hopping around beimg the jack lf all trades on the job. We went from loading to processing youve done skidding you have had down time and showed us harvesting all you need now is hauling loads yourself to the mill and your a 1 man crew lol. Thoroughly enjoy the randomness of your videos because it's always a surprise and eliminates monotony. Later rinse repeat...boring. keep it fresh keep it interesting even when. You're at home on your personal time. Sorry for the rant. Have a good one and stay safe.

    How to be a LOGGER: Buy LOTTO tickets until you win multiple millions. Then buy equipment and remember to get that free hat. The rest is easy log until you run out of money. Lots of easier ways to make a living.

      Good money out of in Ireland. Because we do things sensibly. No need for pointless machines. Proper logging trucks. 2 machines. One will take down the whole forest. The other draws it out to a road. And they run 24 hours a day

    Hey Tim, quick question.. on the processor, on the right hand joystick, what does the left/right control do? as in the function that would normally control the bucket curl/tip on a normal excavator? is it set to rotate the head or what? went back and watched the video of kevins ride along in the processor and could see him using that function all the time but couldn't figure it out! thanks in advance & Cool video man!

    What's the biggest diameter of log can you process and the longest length of a log

    • @HarrisPropertyMaintenance
      @HarrisPropertyMaintenance 5 років тому

      The processor is a 624 so it can process a 24 to maby 26in log while removing all the branches, but at 14:33 the screen says the drive wheels are open 33in so im sure it could do a 30in maby even 35in log, but the deliming arms or the knifes wouldn't close all the way around the log
      And you can go as long as the tree is, there is no max length

  • @dougbrown8601
    @dougbrown8601 3 роки тому

    I don't know if you will get this Tim. I'm sure this will be a stupid question. Does the computer on the processer tell you what length to cut the trees to?

    • @cotontop3
      @cotontop3  3 роки тому +1

      It tells diameter and length at both saws on the head.
