Thank you for this excellent video. I had the same exact wallpaper failure except from the top down. Allowing the water to fully soak in for five minutes, definitely takes the tension out of the paper and allows it to easily be repositioned. I appreciate your concise video. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your tips, and explain everything clearly. I followed a few of your different channels to fix thing in my flat and they have worked well. You have also saved me £££ in painter and decorating costs. 🌟
Superb video, very clear and concise. I have just used Solvite as recommended and it has worked brilliantly. I even ended up having to use it on two large areas as the wallpaper kept peeling away! I had to stick two lengths each approx 3 feet long back and it worked a treat. Numerous small sections done as well. I have never used wallpaper paste, someone else has always hung the wallpaper. I didn't want to get involved in mixing paste and Solvite is the ideal solution. Wetting the back of the wallpaper soon softened it, all the instructions are great, I hated doing the job but it was easy and I have never done anything with wallpaper before. I got mine from eBay, two tubes for £14 incl p&p. I have just ordered another couple of tubes to finish the last three sections.
This is what i needed...thank you...i was about to go out and buy some wallpaper paste and see if it would stick...but definitely doing it this way...thank you so much x
Excellent! GEt right in! DIY noob here - I was dreading having to remove and reinstall segment of lining paper before painting but this has saved my backside bigtime! Thank you good sir! I shall remain subscribed who knows, there may be more grade A help i can implement in me home :)
Great video and tips. Regarding the temperature in the room? Should i turn up the heat or have it as normal? Its an old attic, so the temprature is probably around 15 degrees celcius.
I have just hung lining paper myself for the 1st time and most has hung correctly but some edges are lifting no matter how much wallpaper glue I use so will this method work for me?
Yes, have used the same method it does work 9 out of 10 times. But some papers you need something stronger, so I always have some solvite overlap in my box.
Was very excited to use Solvite and follow your directions to repair seams of wallpaper that are curling up in my mom’s house. It didn’t work. The paper keeps curling up. 😔
If it's a heavy weight vinyl it won't you need to use a ready mixed paste decided for the paper... Also if you have not pre wet the paper and allowed to soak for 5 minutes it won't work especially in this heat .. thanks
You can use PVA but it's weaker than overlap and sometimes is more difficult to get some wallpapers to stick back. You also can use wallpaper paste or ready mixed is best.
@@SlothyWoffy Have u ever painted with cheap paint before. I have trust me when I say u can see all the previous crap on the wall. It's almost see through. Cheap paint equals more graft.

It is good put expensive you may be better using a ready mixed paste.. thanks

Great video, thanks again from Round Rock, Texas
Thank you.
I was gonna get cracking with this but then that absolute banger of a tune came on at the end. Been dancing round my room ever since.

Good video. Thanks. What should i do with hollow patches in the middle of the strip that haven’t stuck properly?
Thanks for the video. Can I do this for wallpaper that’s curling half way up.
You can, but with paper your better allowing it to soak first. Then allow to dry off a little before applying glue.
thanks
Brilliant step by step video
thank you
Excellent video. Thank you soooo much.
thanks
Absolutely Brilliant explanation Brilliant Brillo
Just papered my bedroom and a lot of the joins arent sticking . Really down with it as wasnt cheap paper x

Brilliant thank you
I bought some of that solvite after watching your ceiling video and it worked perfectly on our ceiling anaglypta.
Excellent how to! Thank you
Thank you
Hi do you have to use water first can you just put it on without the water wash
Great video
Thank you.
Thank you that was really useful.
Thanks a lot mate, very helpful
Your welcome thanks 👍
Would that paste leave residue behind when removing the wallpaper?
👍🏻👍🏻 solvite solves it every time. 👍🏻👍🏻
Can I do this with water damaged lining paper and paint over
Uer Job done haha. Good video bro
Thank you.

Even using Solvite paste....it still comes away ! Is it whats underneath?
did you wet the paper like he said?
Nice one👍🏼
Thank you.
I use ordinary wallpaper paste and mix a little bit of pva in.Its much cheaper.
Yes, have used the same method it does work 9 out of 10 times. But some papers you need something stronger, so I always have some solvite overlap in my box.
Would this work on vinyl epoxy stickers?
Maybe not but you can try.
seam to be the right product for the right a job.
What if all the seams are secure and its loose in the middle?
FFS if he pulled anymore of that back it would of been easier to put new strip on
Does diluted pva work
Neat PVA is a glue but overlap adhesive is better to use. Thanks
Why wallpaper in white? Just paint it.
Wood glue 😁
Thank you

This stuff does not work at all on curling seams
👍

Why not just use pva.1/10th the price. Because the stuff you used is just pva anyway.
You can use PVA but it's weaker than overlap and sometimes is more difficult to get some wallpapers to stick back.
You also can use wallpaper paste or ready mixed is best.
Why not just buy cheap paint because expensive paint is paint also?

If it's foil damp you need Three in One Damp Proof Lining Foil Paper Adhesive.
