i love how supportive his parents are instead of beating him down! this kid will go far
I don't necessarily think just because his parents have money & that's the reason why this young man is successful. It takes talent & drive to become a great cook/chef. I think people talk crap about Flynn McGarry because they are just stupidly jealous of this genius kids gift that God has given him. Don't listen Flynn to people's envious negative talk about you. I believe you Flynn have a great gift, as long as you believe you can do it the skies the limit kiddo. 😃👍
I wonder what happens if he joins master chef. Technically he's still allowed to, but then he'd knock the ball out the park
college is overrated.... finding your own path is much better :)
College is for girls that have no ideas and no alternatives in life.
ninense tenense that wasnt sexist at all...
NoName NoFame If everyone had the same opportunities and resources as this kid and life was that simple.
bob jones meanwhile how many kids go to college, get saddled with a huge debt for life without having learned any meaningful skills? granted that life is never simple, but we have a culture of " go to college or die" at whatever cost which should be changed.
NoName NoFame
True, but you shouldn't take the opposite "college is useless" approach.
With the right team around him, why not? Understanding how to negotiate the right lease, food costing, staffing and marketing/branding (he's already winning on that point), Eureka 2 should be a smashing success.
Wow, supportive parents!
*Rich parents
BigElephant you don’t have to be rich to be supportive, don’t extrapolate your experience to others live...
What is it with rich people and little portions when it comes to their food?
Lord Beaky there is not a relation, but I guess it’s because the rich people have more gastronomic culture than others (usually)
Another homerun from NYT's new UA-cam human interest approach.
I love it. Quick punchy pieces with real people.
i swear there is a little mouse sitting on his shoulder and tell him what to do!
i applaud the kid for his efforts. bravo your doing more than the jelous angry posters here on youtube who sit on thier duffs and wonder why life sucks.
That's awesome!
You show them who's boss, boy... I am tired of these societal notions of "skinny people can cook, what?" and "kids can be creative and have talent and knowledge, what?" and "young men can like doing a woman's work, what?"
15? Seriously?..wow..amazing
He is amazing!
Im 16, cant cook a thing besides scrambled eggs and noodles... As long as my cook is there, Im all fine 😝
same LOL
I can cook...but the laziness always wins and pizza is just awesome
Honestly being a chef more mature they are , their emotion and ego more they can manage .
He good .his parent so happy to see he has his own life
His a prince!!! success is yours hon!
He charging to much to be serving out of a house. People crazy paying $160
😂😂😂
If I ever open a restaurant I will hire this genius as my executive chef.
Previlegiado
Flynn--wow! This is so amazing ...
Totally different world for a kid from a rich family!
Webster Giles Smith just a different one
He is the man of his words.
Guess when you have rich parents you really don't have to worry about going bankrupt once you grow up.
That does not take away the merit of what he does, so why do you say it ?
JWJ going to say the same thing
He qualifies to work at a high end restaurant. Now go to watch kitchen nightmares and see kids of rich parent going bankrupt (episode of burger kitchen)
JWJ do you have children? Would you do the same for your talented child? Your comment comes across as personal jealousy.
So he can open up his own restaurant after working in a kitchen for only a couple years? Must be nice to have richass parents.
Getting ready to by Flynnified in NYC the 28th. You go Flynn. The PR on you is HOT and I know this is going to be an amazing night.
There is hope for the Ginger Race!!!
My answer to this video's question is that there is no such thing as "best in the world". It's an opinion. If someone or some organization decides a restaurant does merit that title, it is simply their opinion, and it begs the question of how they came to that conclusion. We can clearly find out what building is the tallest in the world, or what is the largest mountain of Earth, or where is the deepest part of the pacific ocean located? The "greatness" of anything, however, cannot be scientifically measured.
this is what happens when you have rich parents.
Angel Rodriguez this comment is what happens when you are an ignorant.
No
God you Americans are a silly, optimistic bunch. Let this child graft for more than a few years in a half decent kitchen, preferably in Europe, before backing this kids dream of opening one the best restaurants in the world, which is highly unlikely he'll do so. Sorry to burst the New York times positive bubble, but rich kid with lots of resources the top chefs of today didn't have at his age + more dollars, doesn't equate to the world's best restaurant, or close to it, at least in my mind. I'm not trying to dump on his dream, just injecting some British pessimism
He's already many years ahead of many others around his age and older. Whether it be because of personal ingenuity or lucky circumstances (e.g., resources from rich parents), that has to count for something.
How do you know this kid is rich?
Mdriver1981 Just look at his house, he can run a restaurant out of his living room, that's more than most have
The Bloke , not really.
Jeremy Evans I fear he's going to enter a proper 'oui chef' type kitchen when he's older and be exposed to the harse reality than many others like him, minus his particular advantages, want to be great chefs. While running your own restaurant at 15 is fantastic, there's no figure of authority (as far as I can tell from this video) to inject criticism or give a sense of urgency/pressure to his cooking process. It is through adversity and taking a earful from an angry head chef, that he is more likely to flourish into a great chef, not protected by a bubble in the form of his own restaurant.
well done Flynn .Jim McGarry
I only know how to cook egg and I am a year older that him... WORLD
and now his in MasterChef Australia
👍
lol
RossLinden97, I think you very jealous, don't you?
Can Flynn,
You are so cute my name is Brianna I'm 13
I wonder what happens if he joins master chef. Technically he's still allowed to, but then he'd knock the ball out the park
