I really think you need to get some child drawer safety catches. They get fitted to the top of the doors and are easily used so adults can open the doors, but it prevents anyone (including naughty otters) from getting into places they shouldn't.
Best part is when Bingo sticks his face thru the little hole @the end. 😍
