I am completely busy visiting family this week so I had to rush without sleep and proper self care to get some content done I’ll fix the retakes when I’m back home
To all the new viewers, having every moodle in deep red is a channel special, get used to it. Here, eat this entire stick of butter, it's bulking season 😂
To be honest IT wouldn't BE the Same If he doesn't have the Red moodles Edit: before writing this He only Had a few, but few Seconds later IT was filled😂
the blind leading the blind. its not that hard to keep your moodles in check, and it shouldn't be this much of an issue when making a new player's guide
Yeah when time becomes an issue I push harder than usual. The reason I didn’t wanna wait for all of my noodles to go back was simply for the fact that I wanted to complete the barricade segment before the chopper event. I’ll take the criticism though
A little tip for new players: a house with barricaded windows is usually a survivor's house, which means there's some good loot to be found there, but in b42 the developers added abandoned houses that also have barricaded windows, but the loot inside isn't worth the risk. You can tell an abandoned house from a survivor's house by the Graffiti drawings on the walls of the abandoned house. Upd.: just had to clarify that you can in fact find a decent loot it abandoned houses but it is random just as in regular reaidential buildings
I am always keeping my ID cards for my character. Just carry it around always, Agreed its a fun little feature. Also the badges from police officers etc etc etc. Its so fun. I also love the random names hahaha
for new players - if you decide on a place to fortify and use as a base long-term, and you want to get rid of the stink from a bunch of defeated undead around it, there's a couple things you can do: for one, just drag them somewhere else. slow, but very simple and doesn't require anything special. you can also dig graves with a shovel, if you have one. each grave can hold 5. finally, and most effective, is fire. try to keep it contained if you can, a gravel or concrete area where there's nothing for it to spread to is ideal. if you have decent metalworking and welding skill on your character, metal walls and floors work wonders for an ad-hoc crematorium.
also, if you're deciding to base in louisville for some insane reason and have chosen a few floors of one of the now much, much taller buildings to completely clear out, fortify, and make your home (why would you do this, you can't even farm up there), the push it somewhere else solution actually becomes a lot easier. just toss them out a window.
Oh no I just realized I don't think putting them in dumpsters will work with the new dragging system, haven't tried yet but that was always my favorite.
This is how it always is highest luck when just testing stuff out. Worst of luck when you play for real. You could also always just make this a full series.
As a note, maintenance is much harder to level up than before, the crowbar(and just about any weapon that also is marked as a tool) no longer give maintenance xp. Fastest method of gaining is repairing weapons/tools by using wood glue, glue, duct tape, or sharpening with a whetstone.
Hope you're having a merry Christmas Lime. :3 A good thing to add might be that broken glass can be used as sound traps by placing them in blind corners around your home & that 3 planks lets you see out a window, but 4 covers it completely. You're doing a really good job though so far, I'm going to be recommending my friend who just got the game your videos as reference material.:P
Something with the now removable stones - there's actually a use for the pickaxe now besides as a rather unwieldy weapon! there's huge boulders out in some areas that you can use a pickaxe to break, yielding stones both small and large as well as some flint nodules (which are used in place of stone for primitive bladed tools and weapons now)
i'm so glad this new build has me watching your videos again! great stuff as always. i've also had insane luck on my first b42 playthrough- i found a generator magazine in the upstairs apartment of the diner/store/autoshop in echo creek and then found a generator chilling outside by one of the food truck things. then one of the houses had a key to an amazing condition taxi with 70% gas. you simply love to see it. i hope your luck continues too!
Love this series, it's nice to see you interact with regular PZ, new build notwithstanding. The really extreme scenarios you put yourself through are great but it's nice to just a regular start.
With this amount of luck you just know it's going to be 90 days before he finds a working car in the next series.🤣 I agree that barricading a basic base is a good idea even if it won't last since it'll give you some carpentry xp anyway. That's a good thing to remember about suburban backyards too, you can get exposed quite quickly if luck isn't on your side.
Thank you so much for this! If you’re trying to think of new 42 challenge runs, maybe a spiritual sequel to Bon the Builder, where you’re playing as Farmer Mcdonald, who’s new goal is to have the best damn farm you’ve ever seen. At /any/ cost
Honestly a full series of this exploring deeper into the new mechanics and maybe exploring the new region. Either that or maybe finding yourself starting a run as a rancher.
Happy babu Geebus day, Lime! Normally yeah, this kind of slow burn would not make a particularly noteworthy series, but the way things changed in this build are bringing fresh air to tired old events! Let's see now how the helo event shakes you up, after being completely irrelevant in the Water World series.
Absolutely love to watch your videos I can't wait for the new one please don't stop at one week I love your challenge videos and tutorials of what to do I don't even own this game but you're the reason that I'm thinking of getting a PC just to play this game
Love your series! I just can't describe how good it feels to finally play build 42 and I can't wait to see you try farm animals and the new crop system :D I've found some chickens and I literally need to constantly check them out, I still can't figure out how I could do far away supply runs without actually leaving them for a day, it's gonna be hard
how do you decide to set up your player character model for a stomp when the zombies go over the fence? my guy always gets lunged even if i get a stomp in
There's a setting that outlines the zombie you'll hit, very useful if you don't have it on. Then you just kinda wanna hop back and forth over the fence, back up when the zombie comes over until you find the sweet spot where their lunge doesn't hit you but you get the outline that shows you can hit them
One tip came be going behind the zombie so their longer goes past you, or simple walking forward until they lunge in which you can kill them risk free. It takes some training so mess around in debug until you get good with it!
Would very much like to see more of this series! B42 looks amazing but i kinda dont want to play ot until its a little more stable, watching you play it however is great!
i have survived near Camp Arthur in the wild for a good while, going back and forth for chikens was a good idea to. Though it would be nice if you could place a small animal in a car seat, if you can't find a trailer for transportation.
it would be great if you could put guides on the new skills in the future, it's hard to find content at the moment showing the new work benches, materials, and what can be made with them

Had no idea about the new seasons of growing, so maybe thats why but i could not harvest my crops. Do i need a special tool now or was that becouse i planted just random stuff at the wrong time? I could only water or remove them, then they died after they were seeding.
Imagine a water dam where if you fix it you can still provide electricity to the hole map that would be great instead of me panicking every time I hear multiple zombies in building and simply roasting them

There is chances for buildings to be prelooted. You can change that in sandbox settings. They also did mess with loot tables. I increased my loot to common because I hate clearing a area for a hour just to get in and it has absolutely no loot. I also highly recommend rains weapon mod. It adds a lot more machete and other melee weapons that are pretty period accurate
Totally correct, I had to get these videos prepped a week beforehand mostly because I’m hella busy visiting family for Christmas right now. So these videos were made on like an hour of sleep and a dream. I’ll see if I can run it through a laptop and remove the edits when I’m not Uber busy this week
I can appreciate the authenticity of the crop growing times, but honestly how viable is farming now in 42?? 60-90 days to harvest? Not counting time lost (or crop loss) due to plant health and infestations... how often should you plant a new plot to keep the harvests rotating? 🤯 If crops takes this long, I can only imagine how long it takes to rear livestock from birth to a home cooked meal. Again, is it worth it?

Lime started in a neighborhood that isn't that bad. New players need to get used to the fact that you won't be able to get your dream base right off the bat. They need to prepare before heading out, and once this base is abandoned, it'll serve as a great outpost should they come back.
Well in this case, Lime got lucky and managed to get a good starting area, he's probably gonna lose his base to the helicopter event anyway and probably talk about moving from base to base in the next episode, just give it time, and maybe don't be so aggressive!
Man, the double takes on this episode were brutal. I think this is a new record for Lime.

Lime started in a neighborhood that isn't that bad. New players need to get used to the fact that you won't be able to get your dream base right off the bat. They need to prepare before heading out, and once this base is abandoned, it'll serve as a great outpost should they come back.
Well in this case, Lime got lucky and managed to get a good starting area, he's probably gonna lose his base to the helicopter event anyway and probably talk about moving from base to base in the next episode, just give it time, and maybe don't be so aggressive!
here's something neat, Dunning Kruger effect.
Lime! You are the only creator that I’ve seen stay in the town and not run to the outskirts. I really hope you continue this series.🥹
