Canibus has always been a good guy. When I was 16 I sent him an email with some of my music and he actually wrote back saying he listened to my stuff and thought it had potential. Gave me advice and told me not to give up. This was 2008 and I'm a film composer now but when you walk into my studio the first thing you'll see is a big Canibus poster on the wall, because that dude is my hero.
Lol dude for this ... Please listen to Genabis in your studio and see it as a Film score ..even Psyche evaluation.
Nice one 👍🏼✅
Yooo like other dude said, you better use Genabis as a film score
That’s dope of him!
What's Genabis ow?
When Canibus said “I really just needed a hug man” w a serious face on while everyone else just laughed, I felt that. I’m glad they didn’t hesitate to hug the Champ. Canibus your favorite rappers favorite rapper. Iykyk 💪🏼
Em is my favorite rapper for the past decade
not really...
If you really listen to the Eminem “disses” , he doesn’t really say anything super offensive to canibus. In fact, he alludes to being a fan. It was almost em giving him a platform…
@@drexelspivey872 em is a huge fan of him, mentioned him in his hall of fame speech too
My favorite rapper was mf doom, the real “rappers favorite rapper” don’t get it twisted
Admitting your wrongs in public says more about a person than any song that could ever be written. That takes humility 👏🏼👏🏼💯
A lot of maturity
Most ppl are actually pretty humble, they just don't deal well with being humiliated
Facts💯💯💯
Great comment.
@@h3dg3l0rd So true and insightful. Nobody is ever taught how to deal with humiliation. It's such a painful thing to go through. People sometimes
justify taking the life of the one who humiliated them. They just couldn't deal with those negative emotions. Anyway
Great comment.
Love Canibus growth as a person. From squashing beef with LL to admitting his mistakes with Em. #Humility
One of the most genuine and honest personal takes from Canibus on himself, nice to hear
It good that he can admit that. I always thought he had a over inflated ego. There is a freestyle cypher with him, DMX, Big Pun, Mic Geronimo. He refused to go second because he thought he was the best, he wanted to go last. It’s on UA-cam.
@@vdoc2760eh, nothing wrong with that. It's a Cypher and all emcees think they the hottest. He should have spit something else other than second round ko tho
Yeah. I can respect that
Yeah. That’s respectable. He made some badly calculated moves. But lyrically was fire 🔥.
@@vdoc2760 what’s it called?
Gotta love Canibus for being honest " I just needed a hug" that's something a lot of us need.
This was incredible. And for him to apologize like a man was dope. I hope Eminem eventually comes in the show to give his takes on various feuds he had.
He only does interviews on his own network.
Em will be on Math podcast soon
Em should tap in with other networks
As many times as math has tried bringing the fact that he wrote a diss track about him because benzino put a battery in his back,
You wouldn't see Eminem on the show if proof told him to through a oija board (rip proof)
Man i think they would make a killer track together.
So the truth about it is, I just really needed a hug 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Canibus We need you back fam!!!!
Mad props for admitting he was in the wrong and for admitting he rocks with Eminem and that he gets busy. Ego death. I rock with it man. We need more people willing to do this. Big ups Canibus you are a legend my guy
Yep. Can & Em are two of the sickest lyricists ever.
💯
All over bad information . It would be something to get all the beefs squashed and then have tracks made with all those people . Cause once show the world it's wrong to hate someone over a mis-understanding maybe people would approach things differently rather than make a snap judgement which can create a negative outcome . In this case
@@devotheambivert9875imagine they would’ve been friends instead of enemies. They would’ve changed the course of rap
@@patstaysuckafreeboss8006 yea. That would have been dope.
Canibus is a rapper's rapper and a first class spitter. Respect to him for being a man and admitting his mistakes and apologizing like a man.
Canibus went through fckn hell in the industry and to see him so humble and honest about things he feels he may have done wrong is truly amazing.
People say Eminem won the beef because he had a better career, but canibus has way more rhymes under his belt, and I honestly think he would win in a real lyricist battle. They both kind of half assed the beef and diss tracks and if they both took it serious, it could’ve been one of the greatest battles of all time. I liked what Joyner Lucas and Tory Lanez did when they were dropping a song back-and-forth to each other in a matter of days just for fun and to show off skills.
This is how you grow n mature as a man: self accountability for your actions and inactions
thats because his manager wyclef..... actually eminem respect canibus.. and his fav rapper
That's a real man right there. He put out his truth even if it seems embarrassing.
It ain’t too late for canibus and Eminem to collab. This was a great interview. First time I have seen him speaking of Eminem and LL and not look so uncomfortable. Math, you did a great job along with everyone else in making him feel comfortable.
Wouldn’t be the same if they collaborated now, missed opportunity
@@spiritguider7701 it could be a missed opportunity. But if this interview gets plenty of views, it can get canibus some good attention. Now it all depends, what he does with that attention. Also, Eminem might be watching and decide to reach out. Maybe wishful thinking, but not impossible.
I can see that happening
I would jump out my skin i have wanted that for almost 2 decades
Good Insightful comment.
I was 14/15 when I bought Can-I-Bus and heard Channel Zero. I went to a Catholic school and was already on the fence about religion and the Genesis 1:26 verse tipped me over the edge. I started to question EVERYTHING and have not stopped since.
The 3/4 water verse in Niggonometry had me questioning the validity of what was being taught in schools and had me in the library.
The end had in my emotions. "All i needed was a hug man" and those brothers got up and showed cannabis love.
Word, same.
Because at the end of the day we can all relate Because we all need a hug.
Yes that was cool 👏👏
Hugged him shitted on him later on and then puts this title on the video
*Canibus
It's always difficult when trust issues get in the way of relationships, and it's understandable that Canibus would feel regretful about how things went down with Eminem. It takes a lot of courage to admit when you've made a mistake, and I think that it's great that Canibus is reflecting on his past actions and trying to make amends. Hopefully, he and Eminem can find a way to move past their differences and collaborate in the future.
Bruuuuuh you’re tellin me… I remember being in high school when Canibus was comin up and hoping he and em would do a collab only to find out through hip hop forums that they were beefing 🤦🏽♂️…
I still have hope though. It’s a new day and age so fingers crossed some dope happens and they can set the internet on fire.🤞🏽
@@HamajaangI'd put money on Canibus. That'll be a lyrical battle, bus is more intelligent and intricate with his rhymes; check the catalogs! Shady's more a manic junky type of rhymer. Canibus smokes em 10 times out of 9

Bro, the fact he’s being so vulnerable makes him look so confident and secure about himself. Not like most rappers who play that tough guy shit.
Oh hell no- "Buffalo Gals" is a 1982 hip hop single released by Malcolm McLaren and the World's Famous Supreme Team, from McLaren's 1983 album Duck Rock. The song is composed of extensive scratching with calls from square dancing. The music video prominently features the Rock Steady Crew.
I was saying the same thing !!!
Man, Eminem and Canibus was such a missed opportunity. I wish they would’ve collabed back in the day. Love the interview and it gives so much clarity to the stories from back in the day

He went on the right platform to apologize, explain the situation, without someone trying to get a hot take to throw all over social media.

Yes. Just like he said they always wanted to throw gasoline on it and wanted him angry.
Whoever started that rumor was on a mission to destroy the potential of hip hop. Imagine if those two had been music partners instead enemies
It is dope to hear that man admit to being wrong. The vibe I got from him (watching as a fan of the culture) back then was that he blames everyone else for his mistakes. It’s dope to see the mature stance of admitting where he might have f’ed up. Dope content as usual Math ✊🏾
And that's what's so crazy about the world we live in nowadays - when a person does the (right thing), we have to applaud it - this should be normal but it isn't - because we are so used to people doing the (wrong thing) - it is rare nowadays to see someone admit to being wrong, treat another person right, or apologize - but much respect to dude for admitting his faults
Hes not blaming everyone, theres a devil worship cult in music, that Bis didnt sign up to, thus he wasnt part of the club and didnt get to have his career

I'm actually proud watching this, knowing how far hes come and admitting hes wrong. Admitting he was just a hurt man that needed a hug and some love and support that he wasn't getting.
The greatest Canibus interview of all time.
💯💯💯
I gotta agree with this take. Tim Westwood, Clue, Sway... Nobody ever got Bis to come out his shell and express his feelings like this, not without Bis getting angry and changing the subject in the process. He don't usually get this comfortable in interviews but something about the barbershop, you get comfortable in there and you just say what's on your heart. I'm glad he got to share those feelings unabated on here in particular. Nems wasn't ready for this conversation... I doubt Drink Champs would be either. This was the right platform at the right time.
Facts, it's that barber shop setting. It doesn't give you an interview feel, most artists/people don't like interviews. This allows them to be themselves
Lemme say something from a big ass eminem fan and a huge rap hip hop culture lover, i gained mad respect for this man after hearing this. U never know whats truly going on in situations. Did em kill that shit? Yea shit was hard af. But all these years later and for him to be so humble and speak on the truth about it is mad dope , respect cannibus🫡🔥 love seeing this in hip hop

Canibus letting all this be known shows the kind of person he is. Much respect to him for sharing this. Dudes one of the most underrated emcee's ever.
Gained even more respect for this man after watching this. Hes still one of the best intellectual rappers ever
I'm telling you these clips are giving me life right now. This one here might be my favorite of the 3 or 4 that they released. To know how he felt in those moments. At the times I looked at Canibus as a machine that simply printed out endless pages of bars, F whoever feelings got hurt, he was a warrior and this is all he was created to do. From 2000 BC to Mic Club to Rip The Jacker to Lyrical Law... Bar after bar after bar, FHYF! But to hear him speak on how some of these moments made him feel. How he didn't really want the journey to be as abrasive as it turned out to be but the powers that be manipulated things so he felt that pressure and had to be a savage on every track or a savage in face to face contact cause he didn't know who to trust. My God man I could listen to this King speak for ages and never get bored. How he just has so much to say about all these time stamps in hip hop history... This is magical what we are getting here and I gotta say, two clips of the few that dropped so far Canibus has the best gunshot outros I can remember on here. The I didn't think we'd be battling for 25 years shit with LL Cool J and this "the truth about it is, I really just needed a hug man"... Both them shits took me out. There was a reason he always wanted to be the anchor on those tracks... These gunshot hardouts are more of that in Pod form. I'm loving this interview! I can't wait for the full episode, I hope it's Maths longest episode yet, I'm ready.
Sincerely yours your biggest fan this is Stan....

Nothing but love for you and the team Math. This aspect of what you all represent in Hip-Hop is so refreshing.
