It was cool to hear Jack at Andertons give you a shout out in his Genos 2 video this week. Thank you for posting these videos. I am trying to decide between the Genos 2 and the PA5x.
Woody I have watched you over the years ,, this was very nice you are starting to understand on a small scale of what being a creative artist is still a very long way to go but you have put your your foot on the first step ,,in the rite direction. ,,,that was very beautiful now you must learn to take your self searious in every way that is the only thing that truly makes art alive.or makes one a artist ...
Wow, awesome version of this song. How do you figure out the chord routines for the songs you play? Can you read musical score? I have to memorize everything, and can't read sheet music. I have to use a app (Chord ai on iPhone) and then still not always it seems to work, so i use Google. Some songs i can find this way, and some i just can't figure out 😀Maybe when i retire from work, i get more time to learn about chord routines and how to find them by ear. Keep up the good work. Kind regards, Ronald.
Nice hat! But should it be a (backward) baseball cap for EDM? I don't really know. I'm just a little bit north of you and my hoodie is indispensable. Great rendition of a classic, and looks like as much fun to play as to listen to.
Wonderful rendition indeed. But now I know where the cheesy comes in with the Genos: it’s the drum track, always the drum track. It would help a lot if the Yamaha engineers could humanize the Genos 2 drum tracks.
So sad the Genos 2 still has those narrow and non weighted keys. Otherwise I would have bought it instead of the Korg PA5x because the Yamaha has such a pretty studio sound. Now I will have to live with the Korg 😄

yeah that was sweet of him! tough decision, i'm in the same situation if I decide to buy a flagship arranger. hope to try the pa one day.
I hope you do get your hands on a PA5x - would love to see what you think vs Genos2. Thank you for all the videos!@@WoodyPianoShack
I love the way it started nice and calm and then you added new dimensions with strong beats! Thanks :)
that's more or less what the original did! great build :)
I have been trying to find the right words, my intention is: I find it deeply meaningful to hear covers of those that left us early.
well said

hey, appreciate the comment and feedback.
Raybans to go with the hat. 😀
ok, good call. next time!
Nice rendition! Now you need to play "Wake Me Up"'s beefier cousin: "Ultimate Elbrus".

hi, this kind of stuff I learn by ear, although I can read music as well. it's just years of practice...
fine
Great cover. Lot of registrations setup. Like the acoustic guitar intro style. Can you tell which one you’ve selected?
the strum guitar was just a multipad, the style something not really appropriate but close enough! if people are interested I can do a breakdown.
Enjoyed it Woody, thanks. Chapeau 😅 see you next 🤸♀️😎

well in fairness, this is an EDM drum track, so not supposed to be humanized!
Indeed. Still … ;)
Genos has swing feel as a preset. Dig a touch deeper on the sequencer set up. EDM is hard on beat. Same with Montage sequencer, a percentage% feel.
I did. Still doesn’t do it for me. Too artificial. Don’t know why. Then again, never liked those 707s or 808s.
“Let it snow” would have been more appropriate. 😉

genos2 keybed is excellent for a synth action, it's same as their very best synths, montage.
@@WoodyPianoShack this is true. My dream: a Genos with the new 88 keybed of the Yamaha Montage M8
They want you to buy their pricegouged CVPs.
