Dude! Just a lil update, I'm almost finished with my auto tech vocational school and I landed a job at a nissan dealership! Thank you for all the inspiration 🙏
Hell yea man good shit!
How’s it going
Thank you!! Not enough tutorials out there for this job. I'm glad I don't have to pull the trans out since I'm doing the job on jack stands.
Never dropped a VQ on a 370, but G35 M35 FX ect.... dropped the engine trans and rack together out the bottom... Just gotta remember remove flywheel to torque converter bolts. We had a lift table super handy! Use the lift to separate the motor from trans boom all done👍
Nice. Tables make everything easier
Hey guys love you video
I have a question on a 2012 370z my engine need to be replaced I located one with low mileage but it is automatic would that work on my car since I have a manual transmission??
You would probably need an automatic ECU and the wire harness.
Not sure what my problem is. Mechanic thinks my motor is locked up. Car qont even turn over, sounds like starter is trying. Looked up CEL and said cam positions sensors on both banks are bad, and crank sensor is bad. But I put a braker bar on the crank pully and it won't budge. Also I think my CSC is bad. Is their any way the bad CSC can cause my motor not to turn? Or the sensors cause it to go into protect mode and not turn? I've driven the car like 2k miles and not beat on it. I don't believe I ever noticed the car get hot either. Just drove it home one day and the car wouldn't rev in any gear except neutral, then when I went to start it the next morning it wouldn't even turn over
Yo, great content on your channel as always, Ive been wanting to ask since your last update on moving back with Yota, as a line tech do you have to call out diagnostic shots, if so what happens when one gets the diagnosis wrong. Plz explain with as much detail, thx.
Yea you do. And if your wrong you have an upset customer. Or upset management.
hey, dude rarely subscribe but usually if I do it because they are very informative! I've wanted to be a mechanic and just like you, I'm in automotive school but my biggest fear is after i graduate how do i find a job in the industry in the dealership? Like will they provide and teach dealership specific repairs? What would the first week look like? And how can i learn to do car mods?
I wonder where bro is now
I’ve never really heard of these VHR VQs getting a spin bearing. This guy must’ve beat it to shit
Yea drive it like you stole it 🚘💨
Liking the new tunes on your video Nick!
Thats my boy Andrew! 👏
Awesome video!!!
That VQ probably smoked many hellcats and challenger to have the motor go out so fast or must have run it without oil
The video sound is pretty good, beyond my imagination
Twitchnakai sounds like a catchy streamer name
Yo Yo Yoooooo!! Great Video, keep em coming Nickko
As someone who has never torn down an engine, VQs look kinda confusing!
Remove and installs are always pretty easy. But tearing one apart is another story
Hey what was it like when you guys got your first job because I'm going to a trade school and I am gonna try to get a job in the field not gonna lie I'm kinda scared cuz I have never done an oil change I know how to do one but never done one hands on and lifting cars is what really scares me I don't wanna be known as that guy who drops a car and just wondering if anyone else was in my situation cuz I feel like everyone else's is so confident cuz they have been doing this kinda stuff with there dad since they where kids but it's my first time opining the hood or taking the tire off
Dope ass time lapse 🙏
Yo nick quick question do having ASEs make your pay rate increase? How many ASEs do you have?
Most places will. I have A1 thru A8
Nice job
Nice
Job well done.
Nick like this comment bro!!!!!
I tKe the engine out with the transmission and than i take off the transmission. Make the jop easier
Drop the engine and transmission with the subframe from the bottom..
good to know.
Why didn't you guys just drop it from the bottom with the front suspension member and trans.
It was our first time wasnt sure how these usually come out
I am a Nissan tech literally takes about a hour to drop it from the bottom.
I just started Drifting and have made a few drift videos, any feedback would be awesome. Also Just subd.
Where’s the anyway to just drop the entire engine with trans from the bottom, just like the 2gr-fe . I mean the 2gr have a cradle which is easier but idk I’m curios if you could be done with that Vq engine
Yes you can . You can drop the whole motor trans on a hydraulic table cart. There a video on UA-cam somewhere.
Yea now learning people at Nissan just drop it all with the subframe
Surprise the "Mastertech" was not aware of this.
Hello
damn my motor has to be pulled due to vvel motor failure on my 2011 with 7k miles and the dealer wants 4k
*Donut Media wants to know your location*
Yooooo! Yooo! Yoo!
About to drop my motor
Would you use an engine crane, or is it advisable to just use a hydraulic table lift and drop it all with the subframe
Or do you need both?
Never dropped it with the subframe out the bottom but this was also our first time pulling this engine. Crane worked fine for us.
@@LetsDriftMedia
Sweet, I only have a crane - but I’m dropping it to install twin turbos
Thanks for the video, and the reply
name the intro song please
10 days. No fucking 10 minutes😂
That car will never go back the same and will never be the same.
The sky is blue
Ls swap?
How many miles, are the 370z not reliable?
Judging by the looks of the car he probably abused it. Ran it low while doing donuts or drifting.
They are reliable I had mine go to 205k before I sold it (needed 4 seats) and now my current one at 160k. But big mistakes I see is letting it run too low on oil and also running intakes way too big without a tune
Think it had around 140k
Venom63 that’s what I was thinking , thanks
Denny Balance yeah many people don’t pay attention to their oil level, and yeah the biggest thing I see is aftermarket parts added on and not getting a tune , thanks
I JUST WANT TO BREAK YOU DOWN SO BADLY. IN THE WORST WAYYY lol sorry had too.
