Hey everyone, heres just some points I wanted to add to this video: This video was made about a week ago, a decision has already been made on a new kayak. Very excited for it to arrive so Pete and I can show you all. Thanks for all of your support throughout the entire Ascend 133x Build Series and hopefully you’ll stick around for the new build series! Hoping for the kayak to arrive within the next week or two so we can start making videos on it right away. And yes, I understand the crack that developed is on the smaller side and is probably repairable, but based on the number of complaints around Ascend 133x cracking, I decided it just wasn’t worth continuing to fish off of this boat or get it replaced and it was time to go in another direction on a significantly higher quality platform. However, from my research it does seem that Ascend/Bass Pro Shops does have a 3-year hull warranty on their kayaks. Not looking to replace the boat, but I will look into possibly getting a refund through that warranty.
i came across you guys when i was looking for ideas for my ascend, I think we're even on the same owners group. I'm only on my first year, not ready to change it yet. that being said, most of my homies use hobies, so when i'm ready to upgrade i'm probably going that route
The problem is that they using repro plastic in the good resin mix. In the mold process of the kayak . Resulting in this cracking do the impurity in the quality of the plastic Really sad to see this in such a comfortable kayak design. Thanks so much for your honest reviews and the time you spend doing content !! Keep it going Brother 🍀
thank you for the advice. i was recently looking at kayaks and found this video and your first. and i will say i wont be getting this kayak. having it crack like you said after two years of use is probably not a good thing
And then I’d have to register the new kayak in my state. Reinstall all my accessories over again. And by the time I do that I’m hoping none of the common issues on this boat don’t happen again. This is my opportunity to start fresh and with my dream kayak. I get what you’re trying to say but it’s not what I’m looking to do. However, I will be looking into the warranty to possibly get my money back.
@@RustySprocket are you talking about this kayak? I didn’t love the hull. It just didn’t feel like it was built for the long haul. It’s more designed for someone that’s getting started with more advanced kayak fishing and if they enjoy it then upgrade to something more built to last. I also felt like a lot of this kayaks space went to waste, like there’s plenty of room and it’s a very long and wide boat, but it doesn’t take very good advantage of all that room.
@@RustySprocket oh. Honestly never even was in consideration or crossed my mind to get a kaku kayak. It was between the titan x and the old town autopilots. Sorry.

Im glad I just bought one a few days ago and came across this channel to find ideas of what i can put on it haha
Hmmm if the Native Slayer Max and Titan had a baby it’ll be the perfect kayak!
🤔😉
You’re gonna love it!!!
Can't wait!
Nice video! Enjoyed listening and watching. Very nice! Keep up the good work my friends!
Appreciate your continued support

Just wondering, did you upgrade your 133x to another kayak?
@@wjsoc yes native titan x 12.5
Do you happen to have a part number for the inter tube you spoke of? I’ve yet to have my ascend in the water I want to address the flex issues first.
I do not never got a chance to install them
3 year warranty on that hull. Take it back, get a new one and use it for a couple more years.

Those yakpower lights are basically chinese rebrand shiet and over charge you for it. Just get the amazon one they are the same thing.
They’ve worked well for me🤷♂️ very far from the same thing. I like the plugs on them.
I know you already bought your new kayak, but what didn't you like about the Kakus?

@@UntamedOutdoorsmen No. Talking about Kaku kayaks. Why go with the native over the Kaku?
