Super cute bag. It's hard to read the subtitles since it's the same color of the background. Maybe black would work better. Just an FYI for your future videos. Thanks for sharing

Hey guys! Marks- 10:17-10:43 for some reason, a part of the video did not make it in. After "Cross Double Crocheting" your 16th row, for the 17th row you will be slip stitching and chaining 3, and double crocheting, chaining 1, while skipping a stitch and D.C again (repeating the pattern: D.C chain 1, and skipping a stitch)to create that mesh line in the middle of the bag. After finishing row 17 slip stitch and chain 3 and continue rows 18-25 with the cross double crochet pattern and proceed to the video! Sorry for the glitch!
Hi :) Can I use 4 ply(fingering/sport) milk cotton yarn instead of this 10 ply(worsted) cotton yarn? Do you know if theres adjustments I’d have to make?
Hi Myra! Yes you can(but I recommend staying with the suggested weight yarn) , but keep it mind for superfine/fine yarn (a.k.a thin yarn) the thinner the yarn the more rows and stitches you’ll have to do. (It can also come out slightly differently then presented in the video) But if you keep the measurements it probably should be okay just with more rows and stitches! I hope this was helpful :) Happy Crocheting 🧶 OfficiallyFrilled
Hello Jennifer! Thank you for enjoying the pattern! Yes, this is the original pattern the reupload is here: ua-cam.com/video/sDMC7-FLLa0/v-deo.html Happy Crocheting 🧶
Hii! I'm making this bag and I'm having trouble with row 9. After I do the last crossed double stitch, there is one stitch left in the row, and the next one after that is the slip stitch one. Am I doing it wrong? Or am I supposed to do a single double stitch on that last stitch? Thanks! :)
Hi Marta! It seems you might have an extra stitch, I would continue slip stitching into the next stitch if all your cross double crochets are completed (then you shouldn’t have any extra stitches for the next row) ~ Hopefully this helps! Happy crocheting 🧶 OfficiallyFrilled
Hi Bri! I’ve had this bag for about almost a year now and it’s still is in perfect condition! I’ve used it to carry my laptop, headphones, books, pens, etc haha I think it holds up nicely :) (also overtime, of course it won’t be as stiff which I actually like more ) ✨
(Edit: I noticed the background was to light for some, thank you all for the feedback 😊I’ll definitely make sure to look after that for my future videos!) There is also a full written pattern on this tutorial available on my Etsy Shop! Link in the description
Hello, Polyester yarn is quite thin so keep in mind you would just have to adjust to having way more rows to reach the exact same length and width of the bag! (It also may take more time to make as well :) ) Happy Crocheting 🧶
i would maybe cut a peace of cardboard the size of the bottom of the bag and crochet around it or sew some type of fabric around. Then just put it in the inside of the bag. Something like that. I’m making this bag right now, so I’ll be doing that. :)
So I actually gave it to a professional bag maker. They added stiff inner lining and spead the bag out. I wish I could share the picture. It doesn't look too bad. Gives a nice boho beach bag look.
Hi, from row 9-16, and 17-26, are these all crossed double stitches? I noticed there is a different pattern in between somewhere, but your comments were all using crossed double stitches.
Hello Liyan! Yes, these are all cross double crochet stitches for 9-16 & 18-26. As mentioned in the comments and caption (for some reason this part didn’t make it in the video) for row 17 you will be creating the [DC, Ch 1, Skipping a stitch, DC in the next stitch for the entire row]then continuing to row 18-25 with regular cross double crochets :)
@@OfficiallyFrilledI have completed the entire rows 9-26 using crossed double stitches and it still turned out great. Will try another 1 with what you mentioned. Thanks for sharing!

I'm a beginner just browsing qmd saving different projects for now. About how long did this take you?
I’m usually able to make it in 1 day, 2 at the most :)

How do I make my bag sturdy enough? My bag loses all it's shape when I put in a book.

You can try adding a liner.
