This particular unit is ideal for short term stays. I’m not sure if the outside shower is a practical feature, especially if you live in or are visiting an area that experiences cold weather in the autumn and winter. Overall, it looks comfortable. Thank you.
Outdoor showers are great until freezing temps come. Definitely nice for a deep southern or southwest area where the risk of freezing the plumbing is minimized
I also think it looks like an after thought. I'm sure there was ways to make it look like they are bringing the outside in, instead of a random cube attached to the front. The inside is nice I definitely agree on that.
You will have loads of kids climbing up the outside wall of the shower to gawp at whoever is in there but having a cold water shower in a cold area is a great way to wake up. All those windows will be great for a socialist country so that people can keep an eye on each other.
Kerry, I guess I'm kind of surprised. Looked on Wind River's website for pricing. For 300-400sqft you would think there would be a better bang for the buck in using either a destination trailer or 5th Wheel. The styles offered are unbelievable these days. Getting them on-site I'm sure would be much cheaper. Build decks they can be pulled up to and your done. If need be, they could easily be moved to another location (especially 75 of them). Build time would be much less. Obviously just my .02 :)
😂😂You forgot to to mention that shiney round thing, by that thing-a-mabob over on that dohikie next to the canooter valve.... 😂😂😂😂You had us Dieing on the the Coat Hooks..... Great Perspective.... Safe Travels Friend✌️
They have a similar model on their site and it's 167K USD starting. 😅 I would rather buy a home Depot building and customize it myself for less than half that price.
Gatlinburg had a huge fire in town about four years ago. These will be a nice addition to beds in a very popular destination in the. Smokey Mountains. Call it the Smokey Mountain Small.
Gatlinburg is northeast of Chattanooga. It's cold there in the winter time. Love the design of this prefab cottage. It looks great as a weekend getaway. However, the outdoor shower makes it less than usable for at least 4 months out of the year. Just this morning it looks like it's in the '30s with a high of 42 and winter hasn't started yet. Hopefully they have units with indoor showers. I'll check their website. I'm just glad that there is now a company in the Southeast producing homes like this! Thank you!
Terry, I would make a wall that does not reach the ceiling that divides the bedroom from the living room and it would look fantastic. I would also put a large refrigerator and some cabinets. In such a cold place, how would they think of making an outdoor shower? That needs to be improved, no one will bathe outside in freezing weather..... Great hug from Miami FL ❤🇩🇴❤️
Karry always does a great job. It's sad there's even a market being exploited for things like this. Unsustainable petroleum products with ginormous carbon footprint marketed as some kind of luxury accommodation when it's just an over priced and under sized trailer home.
I'm guessing those won't be for rent in the winter. 0 degrees F isn't uncommon in Gatlinburg in the winter. There's living a little, and then there's being outside taking a shower when it's well below freezing.
When you said "Cleveland" I assumed you meant Ohio...was wondering why you landed in Tennessee 🤔 Outdoor shower is novel but definitely not cool. In Michigan I could only shower for 3 months of the year 🙄
I love the looks and design of this little cottage so much I looked up the company website to investigate further. By the looks and vibe of the cottage it appears to be designed with the young eco-minded people and/or those building Airbnb type of properties. They are incredibly expensive. The closest model to the custom is the Nova. Without the deck and outdoor shower, it is slightly smaller with 286 sf of floor space for a whopping $97,000.00. That is $340.00/sf. Considering the land cost and the utilities required, the price would quickly escalate beyond traditional housing prices, making this far more expensive than the average, young couple are likely to be able to afford. I find this ironic and sad considering the tiny house movement began by and for those just starting out in life that could never qualify for a traditional home loan. It is a shame a laudable movement has been subjugated by the rich for the rich once again.
I don't know about that outdoor shower for them mountain folks ?! You know those little boy cousins are going to be spying on the little girl cousins in the shower. Aren't they the ones that say if you ain't good enough for your cousin, who are you good enough for ? 😏😉😜
That "black widow trim" doesn't look very black on the back side of the house/cottage. The color looks to match the back door which is a very dark brownish color.
Wonder why they didn't go 399 square feet to go for the park model market. Cool design but ticks my biggest pet peeve: most windows that don't open, so they assume grid connected to run AC. The outdoor shower shouldn't be fully enclosed as that makes it a pain to clean. It'd be much better to be able to sweep or hose it out every once and a while.
These prefab homes cost $350 to nearly $500 per sq ft. The "home" with no name featured in the video is not on their website, however, they do have one called "The Ronan." which is very similar. The Ronan is 390 sq ft, sleeps 2 people, and the price STARTS at $167,000! That's $428 per sg ft. You better have cash, because you will never get anyone to finance a 400 sg ft house for $167,000. I guarantee this house will not appraise for 1/4 of that amount.
I like it. I’m still looking for something for my property. Given that this company is in the South East and I am in the South East; I should look into them. What did you say the company was called? Located in Cleveland TN is all I heard.
Plus these things are way way overpriced. You can buy a regular house in lots of places for these prices. The 390 square feet model is 167,000 bucks 😂..
Sadly, it IS the new normal. I live in a community where easily 1/3 of the homes are 400sq.ft. My home is around 600. I grew up in a home about this😊 size. It is indeed a "thing."
I personally love the tiny home idea. The homes I lived in as a kid were not huge like the homes of last 30 years! Why does every kid need their own bedroom & bathroom? Granted this particular model is not a home! If you listened it was built for the hospitality industry. I do agree that there are a lot of Tiny builders really are doing themselves a disservice by pricing Tiny’s so high! There are some tiny builders whose prices are a bit more reasonable. The big problem too is towns are not interested in allowing Tinys. Zoning laws require a certain minimum of square footage! I have wanted a home of 600 sq ft or less but where I live the minimum was 1200. I am just me, don’t have kids or grandkids so why does every kid I need a big house to take care of?
Little Box on The Prairie. 😎
Haha 😂
LOL

Thanks for tuning in John!

Depends also on how close your neighbors are!! 👀
Wouldn't take much to close it in.
I also think it looks like an after thought. I'm sure there was ways to make it look like they are bringing the outside in, instead of a random cube attached to the front. The inside is nice I definitely agree on that.
You're just never home these days, Kerry! Thanks for the tour--definitely a unique design.
Thanks for tuning in!
All Right Kerry, someone in the middle of the country doing pre fabs. 👍👍👍
Right? Arguably the most requested area
Great tour, Kerry !
Thanks for the info. 👍
appreciate you covering stuff in the US👍
More to come!
Great city and very walkable and home to some great microbrews
I really enjoyed my time in the area
Kerry, I love these. Talk about extending a tiny home and making it look like an awesome getaway home
right? super cool model
@@KerryTarnow super cool model like super cool Kerry
I LOVE Wind RIver Tinys!
I went in the The Rutledge 🤯
Very cool little house !
I like that nice big front porch. 👍
I love that outside shower, but… when it’s cold I’d skip that, LOL! Give me both! 😂

Call it the Tennessee Twilight… all the windows to watch a Smokey mountain sunset .
Nice!
Really interesting......looking forward to more info!!! Thx
Definitely a very cool hospitality unit, the outdoor shower is a unique feature!
It really is! Thanks for watching Philip

Great meeting you, Kerry! Thanks for visiting us in Tennessee 😊
Right back at ya! Hopefully you blew the doors off the all hands meeting 🔊🔊🔊
Love that your showing places in 🇺🇸 that are closer to Colorado. A price point would have been appreciated! Thank you for the tours! Love them!
I live near Nashville and know Cleveland well. I hope you enjoyed southern hospitality.
It was amazing, had a great time
Kerry opens refrigerator and says, “…oh, there’s water in there”. 😂😂😂
Must have been thirsty 😂
Yeah it's all fun and games showering outside in the mountains, until the opossums and bobcats show up.
Haha that would ruin the ambiance
Or some creeper decides to watch you shower by standing on a chair or ladder.
It has no name? Then I shall name it, Frodo.
Haha I like it
When I’m thinking of renting a cabin in gatlinburg, I want a cabin, that is just a smaller version of my house, I’d rather stay in a hotel than that.
They have a similar model on their site and it's 167K USD starting. 😅 I would rather buy a home Depot building and customize it myself for less than half that price.

Great job as usual my brother❤
hmph, not for us -- looking for heavy snow load and INdoor shower -- but that is not your problem. . . . Great vid, as usual . . . TY!
Appreciate you tuning in!
Great design! Thanks for sharing, Kerry!
Love an outdoor shower, even in the cold it's very invigorating! 😅 🧊 🚿
Nice Terry again!!
That shower is a money maker.

Nice!
An interesting home!
Totally cool, Kerry. Thank you.
Thanks for watching Julie
I would love your opinion on what prefab home has the most bang for the buck
The outdoor shower should have a door to access it from outside. Windows would make showers much more invigorating. The stone tile is very good.
Good ideas!
When will you visit Incredible Tiny Homes in Newport TN? They have so many models and are incredibly affordable!
Reminds me for their 15 minute cities!!!!
KERRY COTTAGE, nice ring to it.
Hey they we go haha

Oh cool! I live in TN.
Cool place!
I wish these companies would focus on homes for the homeless. Too may people ignoring the needy.
When you said "Cleveland" I assumed you meant Ohio...was wondering why you landed in Tennessee 🤔

Like the unit. Didn't know company so close. I'm I'm Chattanooga 😊

How about The Tennessee Two Step
Cute
It looks like a Queen turned on its side.

Modern Cottage is good but I'm leaning toward " Codern Mottage " ... It's a good get away place, Long Weekend... week in the mountains .. Nice
Haha I like it. Thanks for watching Terry
was there something behind the toilet room door?
Same. I found you.😊 Maybe an indoor shower behind the open door. ? 😂
You forgot to show the back door from the inside
Did you mention price? I might have missed it.
Not for sale, this is a custom unit for a hotel client.
How much is the cost for this home at the time of filming?
That "black widow trim" doesn't look very black on the back side of the house/cottage. The color looks to match the back door which is a very dark brownish color.
Correct, that was my mistake. I noted it in the bottom corner of the vid 😀
Hello spiders and mosquitos. Still love an outdoor shower.
A little adventure in the morning.
I’ll call this one… The Bonefish
How about a closet? Even for 2 days we need some space to place all the stuff
What's up with builders and their obsession with HUGE windows? You lose wall space and not every property has amazing views.
It makes the space look larger than it is
Limited sales with out door shower. Nice big windows, and tolet in separate space.
Thanks for watching
Closet?
I’d rather a real separate bedroom than huge deck, this feels off in every way.
For the price of these homes I could buy a large stick built house with the utilities and foundation already in place.
Install a ramp instead of steps.
Divider between bed and couch. Maybe just chin high.
Clifftan uses the Calyx perpendicular to the wall, topped with a wide low lamp between the bed and couch, in his studios.
If you're vacationing you'll have clothes and luggage. Nowhere for either. It's nice looking though.
Thanks for watching
No pricing yet Kerry?

The

What's the price $175,000+? plus delivery and setup?
Dewayne!
The Katsumoto
Too much critical space assigned to be a porch. They could have put the shower indoors. That was NIT planned out very well.
The Clampett cottage
Did he go in the first one?
👍

There is, was news to me
What's the price.?!
Did I miss the pricing?

Did I miss the price?
How much?
$167,000 according to another post.
This is NOT a home; why are we calling 400sq of space a home like it is supposed to be the new normal.
