But we keep building and building and building and building and building and building and building and building and building and building and building and building.
People want to live on the coasts which is all wetlands and then are shocked when this happens. I'm no green warrior here but let's be reasonable. I remember looking at houses out in the Fulshear Brookshire area and they go oh it used to be rice fields but you'll be fine...yea no thanks.
What? Don't be ignorant. We don't need to stop building. We need to build structures with the adequate mechanisms to withstand the movement that occurs in the area.
@@raziele92 it's not ignorant is basic sense. We're pulling materials and minerals and packing more and more weight on the surface. More population increases water usage. Less soil that's a natural sponge for rain is taken away that will eventually lead to flooding just like in several areas in the houston area.
You are being hoodwinked by this reporter! What I have done for my clients in North Houston for foundation moving, cracking, subsidence. I install a $100 digital water timer to outsie fawcette. I install and connect black soaker hoses, to around edge of entire house foundation. Set timer to soak for 20 min. three times a day, equally spaced every five hours, starting at 6am. This must operate for entire year. Each year you will see improvement, and less moving of foundation! If there is a large tree near, right next to your foundation, you have to remove tree. This is one of the issues, in absorbing the water from under the foundation!
Used to duck hunt in Katy. Whole ares was rice farms
We live off 359 in Richmond I remember those days as a kid what my grandpa would say today .
Me and my Dad used to also duck hunt and Katy. Those days sadly are gone.

I've always heard about Houston having foundation issues all over the place. It's very common.
But we keep building and building and building and building and building and building and building and building and building and building and building and building.

@Andrew C these are relatively affordable suburbs actually. 🤔
They have said Baytown was sinking since I was a kid in the 70’s. Still there and building like crazy

Well I guess if you're on flood plains that will happen
That’s who fault tho ? They love moving to the sticks & by water as far as possible from other cultures , even if it means flooding . 🤷🏾♀️

@@ss_whole calling in a foundation specialist charges about a thousand per concrete pier. You normally have four to eight piers.
