Although the A45 goes like the clap and a beautiful piece of engineering, I find the 7 R way more comfortable and usable on the fast stuff. But all in all, thanks for the people that creates these awesome toys for us to enjoy!!

after driving several CLA45 / A45 AMG's i can say that they feel very underwhelming for 380hp. especially for a 80k car. the sound isnt bad for a 4cylinder, but still nothing compared to the older V8 amg's.

i just ordered the new golf r 2018. 0-100 in 4,6 is not bad at all. the best hatch now is the new rs3, an absolute beast.

In Australia 2016 a recall of A45 AMg as DSG weld seam can break causing drive failure and accident hazard, anyone have this issue in your country? We havent had one recall for Golf R except for my2106 The detent lever of the child lock can break because it was damaged
during the production process. As a result of this an active child lock
can unnoticeably be switched off. This may lead to the rear doors being
operable from inside the vehicle. Anyone have engine issues with the AMG yet? I note some online.

Meine Meinung: Gebt dem A45 endlich einen der neuen 3.0-Liter R6-Motoren. Größe und Gewicht wie ein 4-Zylinder, aber Leistung ohne Ende. Dann kriegt man den locker auf 450 bis 500 PS, ohne großes Tuning.
schade das der golf in der multifunktionsanzeige die geschwindigkeit nicht anzeigen kann/ nicht anzeigt.
so hat man immer das problem die geschwindigkeit aus einem schlechten winkel am tacho selber ablesen zu müssen

A45 would be even faster if it was the same temperature as it was while testing the mk7 this turbo just needs cool air
I made an offer on a GLA45AMG but the dealer got greedy IMO, so i moved on. I looked up ones for sale nationally and there were a bunch with really low miles. Now I started to think that was odd. Then I reflected on my test drive and came to the conclusion that you can't see out of the car. The front and rear visibility isawful.
The Merc dealer does not stock the car anymore but will special order one for you. Great car but when you can see curbs and oncoming cars, even with the sensors, I now no why people buy them and move on.

If I really had to choose and price wasn't an issue I would take the a45 but golf r is a lot more cheap for not a lot less slow and is a better everyday driver.

vw just took the stock golf made some software upgrading bigger wheels, brakes and exhaust other than that its a stock golf.

Well, this is a "straight line" acceleration, in which the Golf's weight advantage kicks in, although it has less power. Due to that, the Golf doesnt seem that much slower. The merc, however, is a lot faster on track, for example, altough not many people are going to put it there. Also, you cant really argue with the refined commentary. Again, the Golf is a very nice car, dont get me wrong, nice outside and pretty good interior, but the merc, with the aero package (the carbon bits around the car) just seems a bit nicer. Moreover, the interior is just uncomparable, the merc has full on racing bucket seats, leather everywhere, beautiful Harman Kardon stereo and much better computer system. Also, the transmition shifts quicker and smoother. All in all, the Gold is a great car, but the merc is step ahead. But ofcource, the ultimate argument is the price. The merc is also one price category higher than Golf, which makes it perfectly fair to claim the car is better. In other words, they are both great cars for their price- the merc is just mor expensive- different category- it wins the head to head.

I've driven some amgs (g63, c43, etc...) and their shifts seemed a little bit delayed compared to my gti's
It's also the reason why the heavier and less powerful rs3 always beats the a45 in drag races

Cannot be true: a DSG is set to be quick or smooth but can be set to be one or the other. So a Golf R is faster than Audi RS3 on track so more car for less money than an Audi and life's too short to drive an A45: Above 200 stability gets important that's why i got an R for my wife. Philgood

Typischer Staubsaugermotorklang einfach zum weglaufen.A 45 AMG, da muss man mal unbedingt einen Blick unter die Auspuffattrappe werfen, zum wegschmeißen, was da für dünne Röhrchen in Wirklichkeit drunter sind. Könnten auch vom A 140 mit 95 PS oder ähnlich.Aber : Blenden ist ja heutzutage alles.
