HEY TRENTON AND KURT I have an episode suggestion. If your entire whiskey collection went away, and you had to start over again - what are the first 5 bottles both of you would buy to start rebuilding your collections?
Eagle Rare, Makers mark 101, OF 100 Rye, JD Single Barrel and EHT Small batch Honorable mentions would be Redwood Empire anything and Woodinville products
Good idea. Mine: Rare Breed, 1792 Full Proof, Jack SBBP Rye, Knob Creek Select pick, Sagamore Spirit Pick
Rare Breed, OF 100, JJ Bowman Single Barrel, Weller 107, OGD 114 (for old fashions)
Woodford DO, Knob Creek 12 (if I can find it), OF 1910, JD SBBP Rye, Makers 46 or Cask Strength (can't get 46 cask around here).
Old Forester 1910, 1792 full proof, Sagamore double oak rye, Bardstown bib, and new riff 8 year
Kyle is killing the edits!
What is nice about these blinds is there is no influence from knowing the brand or bottle. So sometimes there are surprises where you think a particular one should have placed higher. Love the show.
How is it that Trenton knows what a Rolodex is but has never seen any pre-2000 Star Trek movie or show? He continues to confound
He probably doesn’t know what it is, instead he just knows that is a turn of phrase that might fit the situation
"Oh that's nasty!" ~ love it!!
Henry McKenna can Piss off for over 40$..
I really enjoy New Riff bib. It has won several blinds for me. McKenna 10yr continually disappoints in blinds. Good luck golfing today
I was happy to donate in memory of my mother. I hope you get a million dollars! It's a worthy cause.
SLB is just a good time with good people
Fantastic video again guys and a great cause!!
Recently purchased 4 of the VOB 100....3 @11.99 and 1 @18.99. I had never sampled it before but all of the positive reviews and budget friendliness of it I figured if it wasn't a sipper for me it would def be a mixer. After my second sip....$18.99 made me feel like I was stealing. Absolutely love it!
McKenna is such an underrated bottle and is becoming more widely available, which is always a positive
Trenton and Kurton on a Friday, it’s not a bad thing 😂
The McKenna needs to switch from single barrel to small batch IMHO because I have a bad bottle and will never buy another at that price if they range that wildly between good and bad...
I agree with you too. Or it’s an issue that the hype didn’t match the pour.
I've also heard they have some poor barrels mixed in there. That level of variation at that price is a hard pass from me.
Ive not had it year but heard from several of my friends that its mediocre.
Would like to see an Irish Whisky blind.
This was a fun one to watch also !!
Great concept for the video, guys! That VOB would definitely stick out for us, but it would be fun to throw something else into the mix and see if we could pick it out.
Donated! I hope you raise a ton for a wonderful and important cause!
Thinking of y'all and your whole family today. I hope the golf outing is a lot of fun. Wish I could have made it.
Would be cool to see an episode with all expensive bottles and you say that one is cheap. Interesting to hear Kurt say he was trying to find which was the 150+ bottle and couldn't find one. I feel like it would be easier to convince yourself an expensive bottle isn't as expensive.
thanks for suggesting Bee Liquors!! he has fantastic barrel picks and special bottles... i was a few hours after you guys and still managed to spend $1k, lol!
Good morning all, great episode on the BIB'S. Love the New Riff and I agree on the McKenna, it's really nor getting better for the value.
Agree on the McKenna, I got a bottle a few years back when it was like $35 and for that it was decent. At $70ish....no way
Good morning gentlemen, can't wait for this review
I just scored a 1792 BIB from my local store on my way home from work earlier. Sittin up on the check out counter. First taste of this stuff. It's really good.
Fun video! Have a great time at the golf tournament and hopefully you raise lots of money. BTW, while I agree Henry McKenna price is creeping up into "craft" territory, with 20%+ inflation (over the last few years), how can prices NOT go up?! It is still an extremely solid bourbon! I happily bought one at Costco recently for $56.
I made a HUGE Mistake while watching one of your videos a couple days ago and mentioned that I was watching a campaign rally while enjoying an evening Neat sip of cognac. I got a reply from a person that we're really only speaking bourbon in this really fun group. I just wanted to give an apology to anyone I offended. I realize my mistake..... Believe me, that will never ever happen again.....
I'm with Trenton. When I took the Old Forester tour, I thought their BiB was the best of the bunch. I'm not a huge fan of their products though, but I'd go buy the BiB again.
Thanks! Missed charity drive
Great blind choices, Trenton. I bought a bottle of that Very Old Barton 100 on Kurt's high praises a long time ago now, though I still haven't tried it. When I saw that pop up here I was hoping that would take the #1 spot for the value prize underdog.☹ Ah well. For 100 proof, I think that is as cheap as they come.
I'm here in San Francisco Area. McKenna just came down to 55$ from like 71$. 🍻
Will Trenton miss never combing his hair when he goes bald?
Another good show. There were a couple of bottles I haven’t tried.
One thought is the music was to loud.
FORE!! Ready to play!
Hit 'em good today guys!
Went on a bourbon trip today and snagged a makers mark cask strength, an evan williams BIB and a wheeler's raid #08 sherry cask strength. I hadnt heard of wheeler's raid before but as i was browsing my local store their bottles caught my eye. I took a look at their #01 original bourbon and considered it at $37 but then I glanced over and saw the #08 for $26. I immediately snagged the bottle, no way i wasn't going to try a 122 proof cask strength 4 yr sherry cask bourbon for $26. I definitely think they had it priced wrong, i can't really find any online prices for them but if their bottom line bourbon is $37 i imagine their limited cask strength stuff should be $50 at least if not ~$70. Regardless, i tried a pour tonight and was very impressed. Super buttery, dark cherry, a pleasant oak medium finish and surprisingly easy to drink at 122 proof. I'd love to see you guys throw some of their stuff in a blind or do a review on the distillery in general seeing as they have a ton of different configurations.
First blind where I’ve had everything. Man I love the HM10 even if it’s a little bit overpriced these days. Really good stuff and to me, similar flavor profile to Eagle rare/blantons but mostly easier to find
Old forester 1920 is my favorite and I can usually get it for $50-$60 at my local store
You guys like four roses as much as I do like 10 practically full bottles on the shelves lol!
Kurt, I was also expecting high shelf bourbons vs something like a new riff or henry mckenna😂
When will you be at Cedar Ridge? I'm not too far away.
A Bee Liquors shout out, nice. My go to liquor store, right down the street. See you tomorrow.
I hope the charity golf event was a success and you all had a great time.
What do you think about Union Horse Distillers?
Trenton "Smells like swamp water from Dagoba Planet mixed with slim jim beef stick dipped in acid washed jean dye"
Another Show idea! Take a $25 bourbon a $50 bourbon a $75 and one at $100 and see if you can blind taste them and pace them in order lower to higher
Hey you guys should do an Irish Whiskey blind sometime soon with some redbreast and the spots quality Irish Whiskey. I love Irish Whiskey and thanks to you guys I have a smaller collection of Redbreast. Probably some of my favorite whiskey out of my 50ish bottle whiskey collection.
Hard to beat red breast cask strength
@@deankruse4491 Got the cask strength, the 15 year, tawny port cask, and I'm trying to get the px and Missouri oak finish next
Salúd! Greetings from Singapore 🇸🇬
I agree, that OF bottle is decent but not the best in the row series. I LOVE what New Riff is doing - solid bottles and great price!
If your going to cedar ridge...try their shaved Ribeye balsamic pizza!!
Since we're doing BIBs, it would be interesting to see how Evan Williams and Heaven Hill stand up to these. Henry's is one of my favorites, and HH is right up there too. But for a budget everyday, IMO EW BIB is really pretty darn good.
Love your avatar!
Have you guys tried Chattanooga 111?
I'd be interested in your opinion of it

It will be awesome if you guys make a video trying the new released “old emmer toasted barrel” 🥃 for $99 I saw it at Total wine.
Can’t find the Barton 100 here anymore. 😢 I do really like the New Riff BiB despite it “smelling like fish” 😂
Does gently rolling your glencairn glass in your hand really do anything to aerate your whiskey as opposed to swirling it around in the glass? Just curious 🧐
12:54 That's some beautiful jazz piano in the background. I generally don't care for piano music, but in jazz it's my favorite instrument.
When will you be at Cedar Ridge? Accepting local help on that barrel pick? I am only about 15 miles away and would love to meet up while you are in the Cedar Rapids area!
I have a great Cedar Ridge Cask Strength, Employees Pick bourbon. It is only available once a year at the distillery and I picked one up last month. Would love to share!
can you do a blind on world whiskeys outside the typical (scotland, murica, japan)
You'd pick Eagle Rare over Henry McKenna..😁 that is really surprising. Wow....
its only $20 difference 40 and 60...😃🤷♂️
Idea? Video on your oldest OPEN bottles of bourbon. How long have they been open and have they changed at all? It’s my fear of opening every bottle I own since I won’t be able to drink them all within a year. If anyone has input that’d be great. Like how long does an open bottle last?
I have wanted to try that Old Forester but wouldn’t because of the price point but maybe after seeing this it might be a good thing I haven’t purchased it.
Trenton say he liked the front more than the rear on 1897 makes sense. I like Old Forester 100 better than 1897.
Yeah I like the 100 myself, it one of my favorites
I haven't had it either, but it seems priced too close to the 1910/1920 just based off reviews
You should throw Old Tub into this mix
I can’t find the link to donate. Could somebody help me out, please?
Dang it!! Why did Henry McKenna 10 year BIB have to win!! These are becoming more available but at $69 before tax. Ugh.
old Forrester rye is really good
Do a taste test video on Virginia distillery company courage and conviction lineup
Where was the Wild Turkey 17 bottled in bond?
McKenna goes for 45 to 50 dollars in my area
$79 here 💰💰
Again they missed on throwing 1924 into the blind. That would be the outlier if you wanted an expensive BIB that you probably have on shelf. That or Master's Keep BIB (if you have that).
Gotta have Early Times in a BoB blind.
Guys, that is a wild four-some.....I'll take the McKenna and junk the rest!
I'm confused - are they ranked from perceived cheapest to most expensive or least enjoyed to most enjoyed
I'm not much of a fan of Very Old Barton or any of the Old Foresters that I've tried. Haven't seen or tried the other two
Very Old Barton is bottled in bond?
I just checked my bottle, and it does not say that anywhere.
The white label is
why do they roll the glass in their hands like that?
Interesting ... the OF 1897 is also my least favorite of the whiskey row series, and the 1870 is my second favorite (sorry, 1920 😉)
Obviously not blind, but I think I'd pick the same. Love OF, but their BiB is my least favorite of their lineup.
Trenton what were you expecting?'
it was so good i bought a second bottle
Why does A smell like fish? 😂 Trent says the most random things during tastings
I hate my bottle of mckenna. Won't take the chance on getting another bad one
I'm assuming since this video came out at 8:00 in the morning that it was actually filmed the night before and edited, then posted? You guys don't start drinking at 8am, do you?
Unless they say they are doing a live show everything else is batch shot most of the time. I have seen a channel that did 5 shows in a row same shirt and they were somewhat tipsy at the end.
I can with scotch!
Thanks for the McKenna insight. I got my first bottle maybe 6 months ago and after the hype I had heard, I was disappointed. It's just not that good...
“I like the front more than the rear” lol. That’s what she said
McDonald's!!!!! Only 2.5 hours drive!!!!!
losing a lot of balls and stiff competition sorry my 41/14 year old brain heard that
Henry McKenna has NO NOSE!!!!! It has ZERO nose
Please lose the piano music. I find it annoying and distracting.
Wrong. The piano music is chill and sets you guys apart from the bro whiskey tube.
pretty boring fellas. just sayin
