In old versions of 40k, GW actually gave instructions on how to make a land-speeder from a deodorant bottle. I can even remember how they advised players to hand-make terrain for games to save money. Wild times.
@1:45 it’s the top half of a Cobra mini missile turret. Was an accessory for one of the Cobra troopers with the old 90s GI Joes but mines black so the red one might be a rerelease
It is incredible how you can do things like this from scrap! I am a graphic designer, and paint in free time but your imagination amazes me. Super cool stuff, cheers!
At this point, just have Night Shift crash at your house for a month and make the most weathered, beat up looking Titan possible. At that size, he'd probably get ALL the enemy fire concentrated at him, is what I think. Oh and have it be a more grounded colour scheme that doesn't violate your eyes (optional).
That red plastic piece is the top portion of a 1986 Scrap Iron missile launcher accessory from GI Joe: A Real American Hero. The original was black. The red version was a replacement sold a couple of years later in an accessory pack.
I think the future torso for the Sigma Pattern titan should be based of a Castigator class Titan. As you mentioned in your titans foot video, it is bigger than the actual model. Plus making an Warmaster or Imperator won't look as cool since to my knowledge, there aren't any class of these Titans fitted with claws or grabbers.
Oh god it's physical kit-bashing, i thought it was gonna be different free 3d models mashed together and then resin-printed. This is seriously impressive
I rewatched the ad after it was skipped automatically, gotta say, the amount of shark puns wasn't monstrously jaw-droppingly ridiculous. Which wasn't fin-tastic, cause I came for them in the first place, could have come up with some-fin more jaws-ome, I'm sure viewers who caught the bait wouldn't think that the joke was wearing fin. 4/5, would like to sink my teeth into some more shark puns
I love the more cataphracti look for the power claw. The titans are all so unique since they are so old, so having a different look to the same weapon is just perfect.
This is a whole new level of scratch building, I commend you sir. And I thought my scratch built warship for Warhammer manowar made out of a planting foam block cut to shape, covered in those little sticks used to stir tea with a dowel as the mast and sails made out of old bed sheets painted with fabric paint was ingenious. Even made the rigging out of hairy string and made that bit that sticks out the front out of a chopstick. It did turn out to be an expensive build as I used a pair of empire cannon kits to give the cannons, at least I could still make a pair of mortars for my empire army out of the kit. Making old fashioned wooden warships is a good beginners scratch building project, I made my first ship when I was 14, made another at 21. Watching this video has made me wanna make another. I've not scratch built anything in ages, it's a load of fun.
You can get adhesion on slick plastics without sanding. Just use a thin application of acetone. You’ll be able to paint and glue to your heart’s content.
This has easily got to be the most creative and interesting custom model creation I've ever seen, very interesting and impressive. Definitely will have to try out some of this line of thinking in the future.
The red piece with vents is part of a classic G.I. Joe Televiper Missile Launcher as sold in one of the weapon accessory packs that came in red instead of black.
That mystery bit at about 2 minutes is part of a remake GIjoe "Scrap iron" missile launcher. The original was black plastic...that's an "action pack" remake
I’ve said this a few months ago, but you’ve got me into warhammer, I’ve gotten much better than I was a few months ago, I wish I could post my models somewhere as appreciation for your inspiration
There is 2 things on youtube i wait for with more excitement than anything. The marble machine 3 by wintergatan, and your scratch built titan! Every new vid is such a treat, thanks for your hard work man!
The junk wizard, the trash-o-mancer, the garbage alchemist, the miden mystic. Your ability to turn stuff into other stuff gives me the sweet serotonin I crave.
I love this content and its always great rewatching it. I made my own ork a while ago but ended up stopping when I reached the arms, might return to it when I'm home for the summer. Take however long is needed with this project and i hope you're doing well.
This is the coolest series I've been following. I'm so so so hyped to see it complete, but wven just hella excited to see which part you decide to make next. I always end up watching the whole thing over again everytime theres a new one! 🤝 Great work

it boggles my brain how someone can see a bunch of old pieces of scrap and envision how they would become part of a warlord titan. very impressive.

3:02 I wouldn’t expect nightshift’s cast armor texturing to work that well on a 40k model but it does somehow
Works well on all armour. Tbh you can use real life armour models with some modifications as proxies for guard tanks, especially DKoK

Nightshift is exactly who I thought of as soon as this technique was used 😃

This is how big the Warlord Titan model should be. The Imperator model should be as big as Eric's-Workshop kitbash is, 7 feet tall.
