- I tested Federer’s classic Wilson Ncode 6.1 tour and compared it to the last racket he used the pro staff RF 97 along with the latest prostaff 97 from Wilson…

Great in depth review. I love both rackets also for a very long time.
Thank you, they are classic frames, It’s a shame they discontinued the federer rackets, but the 97 is still very solid
Beautiful groundies‼ The N Code ( Lux Alu 16 ga./ VS gut/ Babolat string savers ) was my fav stick & then I went to the 97F for about 5 yrs. Great stick if everything is prepared well - if not it's not forgiving. It also compromised my shoulder due to the wt.. Went to the Blade about 3 yrs. ago & it's a great racquet. Now I'm contemplating getting the Pro Staff 95 that could be the best of all worlds⁉
Thank you, that is a beautiful set up with the natural gut and Alu power. I think if your shoulder was struggling with the weight of the 340g then sticking with the blade is a sensible choice, I’m doing a review of the v9 soon. The other option you have is the 97, I know the 95 is 18x20 and 339g in weight so might be abit more difficult to use, but I’m doing a review on the new one of that also
Compared to American N90 Fed's racket was heavier, had different string pattern that was more open in the center, more matte paintjob and shorter handle. Asian market N90 was more similar (assuming you would add weight)
The open string pattern was .01 cm from center & the handle was only .1 cm shorter with a poly finish on the lay up.
Loving your videos! I use Wilson Prostaff RF97 v13 myself! I wanna ask 2 questions about it.
1. What strings do use and with what tension?
2. Did they stop making these RF v13 rackets? Will they stop it anytime soon?? I wish they dont... I love the feel and control it gives.
All the best with your tennis journey man!
Thank you! Really appreciate that! I use lynx tour in 1.30 gauge string at 58lbs.
I think they have stopped making them for now, not sure if they will bring a new one out, they just have the 97 at the moment.
Good luck on your tennis journey too!
Awesome vid , sick racket
Thank you mate, really appreciate that, you’d play a joke with this thing
Is that 340g strung? - Extra weight in handle?
It’s 340 unstrung yes 👍 I haven’t put any weight on the frame, just at stock
You are obviously a very good player but is it fair to say your ground strokes are flat compared to pros'?
Depends what surface I play on, indoors I play abit more flat, but outdoors I will put more shape on the ball
Sean mate absolute champion 😊 don’t matter what racket u use I still beat u lol 😝
I don’t doubt it 😂 it’s the reason I’m training hard everyday 💪 maybe one day
Also Sampras' stick!
I’m going to do a video on that racket at some point! 👍
@seanplaystenis should be same model but 85 right?
I hate to be that guy but Federer never used the Ncode. That was just the model they sold to the public. After an eventual lawsuit Wilson were forced to sort of admit this and hence released his actual frame in the K90. So if you want to try the real deal you need to get yourself a K90, add a bit of lead at 12 and string it low with natural gut/alu rough. Anyway, looking forward to the Sampras episode!
I will try get hold of a k90, I have a the 2014 version that he never used. Also maybe I’ll string that with natural gut. I will try and make the 85 like the Sampras specs too.
Are there any other classic frames you’d like to see me test out?
@@seanplaystenis Yonex Vcore 95d (Stan W's racquet). If you can get hold of one of course...
@@svlagonda7417 I’ll see if I can get one 👍
Even the K90 isn’t exactly the same as Roger’s personal racquets as the drill pattern is spaced differently (it’s denser at the PWS)
@@bengray5013 No, the K90 correctly has 4 holes through the PWS.
Whatever you use of roger am cool but never have his mentality 🙏
You don’t like Roger?
@@seanplaystenis I don't like him but I don't hate him too. I used to be a did hard fan once though.
