But the price, at moment, is forbideen. Imaging you could be italian origins, I send you a great hallo from Italy! 👏🇮🇹😉
Why would you need a big color display on a performance oriented instrument? You’re not going to do sound design or sequencing on it which would require a bigger screen.
@@MacXpert74I disagree: looking at this demo, he has to configure a lot of things via the screen, so, yes it seems that the screen is important. There is a close-up at 3:57, of course the screen does the job but the resolution of the screen looks weak and outdated.
Incredible sounds. This is really amazing 🤩. I need to get one of these. My current piano is very good, a Roland RD 2000, but the more, the better. I hope I like the keybed and mechanism. 🎉❤❤❤
Hopefully 73 keys version will be released in the future. I find 73 keys to be the perfect size for gigging. The new X piano sound with the option to change micro positioning like with VST piano seems quite new and interesting
What I wish would become the norm is great action in octaves that can be reliably tightly attached to each other. Great action is heavy, but why should we have to carry 8 octaves at once, give my a main board with the buttons knobs and sliders, say, 4 or 5 octaves, then go\I’ve me keyboard modules in octaves to then add on, making the carrying weight actually manageable. The best transportable weighted keyboards are a pain as of now.
Looks and sounds great! But it kinda looks like a modernized SV-2. I personally don't want screens on my instruments... So I'll stick with my SV-2, which I adore ❤. For anybody looking for a good digital piano, I do love the RH3 keybed.
I have the previous grand stage. It has great weighted keys and a few nice features. Great electric pianos and synthesis too. I personally didn't want a big flashy screen, as I wanted something more focused on the playing vs sounds design. Things that I don't like? It had memory to load banks but no banks were released, no aftertouch, no midi out for many of the controls -making it very limited with other devices, and the stand is solid but looks very odd. No loopback audio or USB midi either... I hope that they fixed some of this on this one!
If it has the same 88 key weight action design as the Kronos be prepared for frequent broken keys, and broken sub chassis if you are a Gospel or rock player with a heavy touch. I was a Korg service center for 38 years.
@@ThomasMilonas Cool, the Roland Keybed is my go-to for live gigs and most recording; I’ve been using the RD line for 20+ years. The CP-88 has never quite done it for me, for some reason. So this is the Grandstage SV2, then. Looks gorgeous, but my worry is it's another preset machine, like the Grandstage, which had almost no sound design capability, just a lot of (very nice-sounding) presets. The effects here seem taken from the SV2 but there doesn't seem to be master effects like flangers, distortion etc., just reverbs and delays (can you at least use BOTH reverb and delay, unlike on the SV2 and Grandstage?) Think I'll be sticking with my lovely YC-88.
Sounds and looks great. I really dig what he plays during the intro. What style of playing is that classed as? Sounds jazzy but kinda modern at the same time. Cool.
Nice! Looks like similar metal panel bending technique like the one on the Nautilus 61- and 73-key versions. Certainly looks desirable. I wonder what it looks and feels like when actually playing it. Time will tell, when they'll arrive in music stores. So far so good. At $2,999 the price is competitive to the other market offerings.
Shame it still has the RH3 action, and looks quite bulky for gigging. A 73 key version would be a nice option. Wooden legs are very nice though, and I guess you could put a second keyboard on that shelf!
Why is the back so huge?! lol I thought maybe it had real hammers in there like in the old Kawai MP 9000 piano. That would've been cool. I'm not really sure why you'd want all that bulk back there otherwise.

With the sold-separately legs, what is the weight capacity of the Grandstage X if you wanted to stack other instruments on top of it? If I did not have an 88-note hammer action synthesizer already as of 2024, it wouldn’t take much to make me decide to get this model.
