Well, it turns out that he liked me for several years and wanted to take the relationship further but I did not feel the same way and shortly afterwards I ended our so-called "friendship." It sucks because we have known each other since high school but if we are not on the same page about how we feel about each other then it's just best to end things. If guys want friends then they can be friends with other guys and if women want friends then they find other women. You can be cordial and acquaintances with a guy but it doesn't mean you should be friends with everyone you meet. Steve Harvey hit the nail on the head on this one!
Such a sad sentiment. I'm a guy and I don't click with male friends (have like 2 or 3 guys friends) for the most part. My best friends have all been exclusively women (dozens of women). The issue is defining friendships by the absence of intimacy. Over 30 years in this life has taught me one important thing... If you can't sleep with your cross gendered friend, y'all are not friends. Period. So in your case... That was NEVER a friendship because that level of intimacy never existed in the first place.
@@emmelinemathewes1073 How old are you? I'm 31. The only friends that stuck around after getting married, having kids, etc are the ones who slept with me in my late teens/early 20s. There has never been an instance of adultery, cheating, or disloyalty. We've always respected boundaries and each other's relationships. The ones I didn't sleep with are no longer in my life. I know of only TWO LONG TERM CROSS GENDERED FRIENDSHIPS. They're in their 40s and 50s. They slept with each other in their early to mid 20s and married different partners. My position remains...Men and women CAN be friends, so long as they can have sex and not want to form a romantic relationship.
*Ladies….if you think that guy see’s you as “Just a Friend”* ….tell him that you’ve been thinking about him all week, and you want to come over tonight when he gets off work…..watch how fast you see, he doesn’t see you as “one of the guys”….We aren’t wired that way.
My guy's friends are. Some will even try to stop a guy from dating me because they know I am not what men want. They have tried by telling me there is no way a guy would want mr. Or it doesn't make sense that he asks you out. To them, I am their friend and sister, so I have to be one man. Also I am not what men want so they know that a guy only is using me as a placeholder do not tell them if I am dating anyone because they will try to get the guy to end things with me or set them up with another girl. Come on, be honest; why, if there was a woman you did not want but another man wanting to date her, but you know that she is not what men want, you would not try to stop that man from being with her? But that just me
Men are not always like this. I have a guy friend who is just friends with me, no interest in anything further, and I'M the one who had hopes of it being more lol 😆 But because that's not going to happen, I have decided to take the kindness of his friendship and appreciate it for what it is. Ladies, there ARE men who will be your friend without wanting more from you. They are out there, don't give up hope!
I'm over 50 and have had the same guy friends for 30 plus years. They been with me through all my relationships. I've walked in the marriages. They are my children's God father's and uncles. Guys can be just friends as long as you make it clear from the start

@@yeimarsoto3196 dude literally wth. That makes no sense at all.
Omg! I love Steve!!!
My "buzzard" fooled my naive ass for years!! Steve is right! ✅️
Steve said I don't know there's nothing I'm happily married 🤣🤣🤣
*Ladies….if you think that guy see’s you as “Just a Friend”*
….tell him that you’ve been thinking about him all week, and you want to come over tonight when he gets off work…..watch how fast you see, he doesn’t see you as “one of the guys”….We aren’t wired that way.
But that just me
Only thing I noticed, PM'S coming soon, for all nice guy's
Holy narcissist. ‘Can you give me a compliment?’
Ikr 😂
I don't know when will these women gonna realize that we don't have female friends
If you're hoping for him to like you one day it's still the same thing
If you're hoping to get loved one day it's still the same thing!!
It's ingenuine
If you women really think these guys truly want to be your friend offer him some HEAD and see if he says NO. ....... JUST SAYING
That would make her ingenuine too, whoever offered
Steve is 💯 correct 😂
I'm over 50 and have had the same guy friends for 30 plus years. They been with me through all my relationships. I've walked in the marriages. They are my children's God father's and uncles. Guys can be just friends as long as you make it clear from the start
I’m not interested in them, they’re all good guys but….
What are you looking for?
Good guys.
You’re surrounded by good guys and they’re looking at you…
You can be friends with a chick if she has a friend you want to get to know
Why can't men be friends with women, like they are friends with other men
@@donnab8652 sex always gets in the way, most men always expect it, some women do
@@harrybeneto2823 Okay, so does that mean a gay man cannot be friends with another man? Because the gay man wants sex
@@harrybeneto2823 Tell me if this is true. A man actually can be genuine friends with a woman. But the difference between a man being friends with a woman and a man being friends with another man is, if given the opportunity, a man will have sex with his female friend. But that doesn't mean, he is not her friend. He will just have sex with her, if given the opportunity. So is it true, that a man actually can be genuine friends with a woman
@@donnab8652st8 men aren't friends with gay men....and gay guys friend get nasty with each other
Amazingly only women seem to believe that Steve Harvey is wrong on this subject. That or men really played a damn smart move to make women believe. I am a guy and I wouldn't cater to woman unless I was related to her in any capacity or I had a chance with her. Other than that I am just being nice because I want to help you in distress but men know very well that women are high maintenance especially if you are just going to be "friend zoned". I have seen many guys being "just friends" because she doesn't want anything more
FACTS
She want a bad guy not a good one.
Exactly! We don't have guy friends after a certain age.
She just needs someone to say she's fly attractive good looking gorgeous pretty?!. Interesting self gratification 🙄🤔
She is looking for a mountain of gold
On top of a Diamond river
Sorry sweetie, Steve's smarter than that! He's not gonna call u pretty!
Ladies, The only way you can have a guy friend is if you have a gay friend 🤔🤫

So many women get upset when you tell them that their guy friendoare not their friends. Like ateve says, they're hanging out just waiting.
Steve Harvey says men and women can’t be friends but he’s married. 😂
Notice she said she’s looking for a good guy but then said the guys she’s around are really good guys 😶….debunks the notion there are no good men out there….😶
She’s not looking for a “good guy”. She’s looking for me, and my name is Chad-Tyrone-Pokey-Ray Ray. Just to be clear.
Every single girl acts like she's the exception to this rule... like they have the only guy friends that aren't interested in their holes... but they know the truth
Look let's brake this down. Women don't understand that men are only friends for a reason. 99.9 of the time. The other are gay or truly can be a friend. That last one is truly rare. Second most woman claim to want a good man and can be surrounded by them and still complain. Because that good man is not tall enough, not hansom enough, not enough money, or simply she has no attraction on such level. But he is a good man. Height, looks, romantic attraction, and poverty. Prevents a woman's happiness. Poverty I get depending on. Js good man are in mass but woman don't want good men. They want damaged men. I have seen this to now women going for the damaged.
Let her have them and keep her in rotation.
Rest In Power Mr. Samuels.
🤲🏾🙏🏾
They never want the good guy until they are used up. Only female friends I have are girls I have no attraction to whatsoever . And that's the only way it can work. They've become more sisters than friends
She wants a good guy but won't try the one's in her friends zone! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Seriously? Several of my guy friends... They have feelings for me, do You notice anything unique about me?
Desperately wanting Steve Harvey to hit on her, get compliments...
She's not "looking" she doesn't "want" a relationship, she's enjoying the attention right now
I said this mess for years. You can't have guy friends. It's only a matter of time before they make a pass...or passes at you. Don't fool yourselves ladies.
She need to go sit down and stop wasting Steve's time.
Steve is totally right!!
Another example of a true woman's nature ..love how Steve shut her down quickly
The late Kevin Samuels had some words about women like this.
I completely disagree with that argument
Soo true! God given wisdom Steve! 🙏❣️🕊️✨
You absolutely can have platonic guy friends as a woman, but you've got to be looking for friendship, not attention. That makes it really easy. If you're looking for attention, you'll attract guys who are trying to get with you. She knows what she's doing, on some level.
You know Steve telling the truth because all my guy friends was trying to get at me all of them
I can't believe I actually shared this .
She thinks she looks similar to Marjorie. This is why she asked do you notice anything unique about me?? Another thing about beautiful people,,,they have been told they were from birth. In other words, they know when men are attracted to them. They have guy friends because they have value to them.
Happily married that didn’t age well 😂😂
People have told her she looks like Marjorie and she expected conformation from Steve but he was NOT taking the bait. He has the real thing and doesn’t need a counterfeit.
Steve said I dont notice nothing. Set her str8ht Steve. I respect you Steve. She has no idea what she wants.
She's not attracted to the guys that are attracted to her. Probably looks beyond her reach and can't be satisfied by those good guys around her. Wants men that really don't want her.
That was actually helpful. 😉
U an have a guy friend if they are not ur type or ur not their type…..
