- A classic moment from Only Fools and Horses (Time on our Hands). Raquel's parents stay for dinner at the flat, and Del-Boy tries to make a good impression. Unfortunately his luck is threatened when Uncle Albert accidently mixes the coffe and the gravy, so they eat the coffee and drink the gravy. Haha, hysterical and brilliant!

Albert's face as Del is berating him is just priceless. Perfect casting is what really made this show. And perfect writing. Perfect acting, perfect plot lines...

Rodney: What happened earlier, with the gravy. You poured loads on Albert's dinner.
Del: it wasn't gravy, it was coffee, that dozy old git mixed them up.
Rodney: I don't believe him.

Never ever loved a series like this one. Tears and laughter together- takes a special writer to achieve that.
Uncle Albert really had some of the funniest moments...brilliant writing and acting!

it's hilarious, but i can't help feel so bad for Raquel. She worked so hard to make an excellent dinner, and Albert ruined it with one stupid mistake. At least when they taste the coffee they'll know what happened lol

Just learned that Michael Jaysten who plays James Turner in this clip from only Fools died on the 5th February aged 88. He was a brilliant actor and also played the valeyard in the dr who 14 parter The Trial of a Time Lord opposite 6th Doctor Colin Baker. Sleep well you will be missed. Great actor.

it's the greatest show ever
The concept is great, the gravy boat line is a belter and the naval man always gets me. One of the finest scenes. Del's face at the end does so well to convey that he knows the gravy-coffee will be hilarious but it's also not going to do his Raquel any good.

@@ELLIOT1311 turned out to be. I think the death of grandad the introduction and evolution of albert added something extra to the show. It could have gone horribly wrong but didnt. Grandad didnt really leave the flat or chair but was when he did was great like the ethnic tours episode or decorating denzils flat and chandelier. However albert became part of the pub crowd and featured more. The naval war tales, the bad piano playing and sneaking the brandy no matter how predictable at times made him a legend. Some classic lines too elsewhere. Some might argue could it have run so long with just grandad?

One of, if not the best, program ever made. Definitely beat comedy ever made. Scenes like this one are absolute genius. I remember watching all the specials and later seasons when they were first aired and Fools and Horses just couldn't be missed.
