Jacky's designs are so clean, the board looks great! I love to start the week with your reviews, thanks:)
Thank you!! ❤️🙏
This is sooo beautiful but agree it's a miss not going split on hot swap (I'm sure there were probably some technicalities), converted to 40% a few months ago and it's been amazing I love it
Man, I LOVE this thing. It's an extremely rare breed. 40's with hhkb layout + Bluetooth + programmability + top tier design, wow! I'm blown away. It seems the designer was trying to color match the gun metal to Apple's gunmetal grey??? Seems like it or very close to that color, which again, I haven't seen that many cases try to match Apple's metal colors. Really, really want to buy this, but I need the top row of numbers. Else, it's just an expensive piece of art sitting on a shelf somewhere.
Mini piggy!
Respect to Jacky for the lovely designs but not having split spacebar on the 'default' hotswap PCB is gonna be a hard sell for me.
Def gonna have to go solder for that split space. Hope to see some stiffer plate options as well
Yeah they should have Alu.
Hey bro love your videos! Keep it up! You think you can do sound tests with your camera mic and the one you currently use? I know some people that do sound tests like that and it usually helps me have an idea of what the board/switch would sound like irl a little closer.
Yeah man, I'll try to add that soon.
@@Clackbait Looking forward to it! Always look forward to watching content from you man!
Wow, looks pretty cool. where'd you get the ball on your desk? also, maybe consider a high-pass filter for your sound tests to remove table resonance
Thanks for the feedback. High pass can alter the sound of the board a bit, so I don't use it. ❤️🙏
That sounds amazing! What are your thoughts on the TX AP stabs? I’ve seen them sold out a lot of places, but haven’t heard any feedback on them. Also huge kudos to you for committing to the layout for a week, I don’t think I could do it given the number of 2-3 key combinations I rely on in a normal 65% base layer.
They are pretty good, but I haven't tested them fully tbh.
@@Clackbait No worries, glad to hear first impressions are positive. Based on how they’ve been stocked, seems like they’ll end up replacing Rev 3, so to some degree as long as they’re at least as good as the prior version it’s not a loss.
love the thicc boi bezels on this board. one day i’ll try a 40, one day
dope! definitely a purchase for me when the in stock drop. maybe the mint in group by too. So how many times did you lock yourself out of your accounts when you tried to enter your passwords with this keeb?
Hahhaa. Never got to locking the account, but I was close!
How did you like those TX AP stabs? I imagine the tighter tolerance of the stab hole means you need MUCH less lube to tune it??
Honestly haven't tested them enough
Absolutely gorgeous board! Sounds really good too, sucks that you couldn't get the right pcb because I'm sure that will change the sound.
It is beautiful for sure. I think it sounded great!
Never understood 40s with traditional spacebars, but I guess it’s the same flex as a 10u… but in 40s size. It’s kinda sad that 40s and ergos are the only place you consistently see split spacebars. Glad some more are around like with the Zoom… at least I’ll never be FOMO’d or even interested in buying any of these boards since they straight up never support my needed layout. Big brain saving money
I love my owl spring because of the split space bar. Now I'm constantly chasing for this on other boards.
@@Jason1087870 highly recommend Keebio boards. Only horizontal staggered board I’ve found (readily available) with a 1.25/2.25/2.75u split spacebar, and they’re decent keyboards too. Sinc (75) & Quefrency (60/65) are split, but the Convolution isn’t if you don’t want a split keyboard
hate or love the 40s... this keeb absolutely slaps.
Indeed brother
Wow, that aesthetic... gorgeous. Is this basically the Elephant but in 40% form?
Yup!
@@Clackbait Was excited but can't see the Elephant anywhere. Once again I'm too late!
I love the look of this case. I've always wanted to get a 40%. Maybe this will be the one?
If you are down with a 40, this is it! Slaps bro
I need to add a 40% to my collection… that thing is thicc
Thicccccccccccc
this thing looks so cool but i feel like 40 percent would not be for me either lol. great video dude!
Thanks homie
I never use capslock so I usually relegate that key to the function key for most 40% type keyboards
Ahhh yeah I can see that working for sure. Thanks homie
They see me rollin
They Hâitún
Hahaaa
Nice Speedmaster
Thank you!
ooh another tiny little 40- oh shit it chonk W
Hahaaa
That’s such a fun and wild design! 40s are aesthetically gorgeous.
Cool
Cool
Bro what is up with the caps lock at 0:37?
Hahaaa. It's an enter key with a caps lock keycap. Most sets don't have support for 40% boards, so you will see this a lot on them.
@@Clackbait on the 60% lol. Im thinking it was not setup for the step caps
ohhh. ...Poor solder job for the plateless! LOL
As you said, smaller boards are made to take up less space... this just goes big for no reason but looks ( I guess sound as well ) and although I love em thicc and like the design they got going on. I just could never buy something like this when you could just grab a nice 60 or 65% in what looks to be a similar size and not deal with all the layers. Amazing vid as always though.
Yeah it's one of those things where you have to just need this layout regardless of size. I appreciate you homie
Forty percents usually do not have saving space as the primary objective of the design. It is about bringing the keys to the fingers and not having to move the fingers to the keys. I would say comfort is the main benefit.
Yeah, 40s are more about reducing movement and being efficient with your typing. Switching to home row modifiers has made typing more comfortable for me. Layers aren’t difficult once you get used to it.
dummy thicc......i like it but i can't stand 40% tbh, hell i can barely tolerate 60% lmao
No hate, but this this is horrible. The design screams of pretension. I'd be embarrassed to have this on my desk.
Totally understand, it's not for everyone. I personally love the design!
