That was a close win - not really sure if the Archeologist had an extra item that he could have used against the Creature from the Black Lagoon's attack since you did forget its attack at 37:30.
Very stressful win - almost as stressful as Forbidden Island.

Owwww, I have been playing the creature from the black Lagoon wrong! I thought you needed each color-token for each step. I wondered why I had such a hard time with him!

I just ordered this game, looks hella fun even solo. Looks like it may have a similar feel to the new Back to the Future game which I love.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you still have to roll the attack dice even if there are no villagers or Heroes around because the Monster's power could still be activated, which is on the Monster's mat.
*Edit: reread the rules you don't have to roll if you are not in a space as another villager but it makes it harder if you do roll to activate the monster's power! Lol
i actually enjoy playing that way. makes the game intense lol

I had. bought this game yesterday at walmart *$30 USD with tax * and I'm completely hooked on it for fans and those who have doubts get it it's a great game and even collection item for the universal studios monster movies

Good play thru even though the Creature didn't attack like the subtitle said. I like close games. Good to see how well it can solo. 'Taxi' came out of nowhere lol

@@OneStopCoopShop yeah, those 3 dice that were not rolled now could have made you you lose the game I think. But a really great video and tense game, I really enjoyed it!
Would it work to increase difficulty by adding monsters after X turns? Maybe start with one or two, and after 5 full rounds add another monster. If you can stay ahead of the curve the difficulty stays the same, but at least there will be pressure that can spiral out of control if you aren't fighting the monsters fast enough.
Hmmm! You could but I think you would run out of time. Contrary to what most people seem to think, I feel as long as you play with 3+ players the ramp up is fine as the enemies activate more often due to the Frenzy symbol
@@OneStopCoopShop Ah. True, the frenzy symbol guarantees activation independent of which monsters are in play.
Hey! Do you think this game has replayability? And is it a good experience? I don't know if it's too easy...I love spirit island solo and Robinson Crusoe I wanted something lighter but meaty...what do you think Colin?
I would say it's a solid experience for people newer to gaming. For me the game got old quickly so I sold it. It was a little too easy

just read through the entire instruction manual, set up the board to face dracula and the creature; beginner game.. and have no idea how to start so i watched this video!

Question. Can you only use the action to move a villager once per turn or could I potentially use all my action on a turn to move a villager(s)
It’s unlimited. The limitation is that villagers can only be moved from your space to an adjacent space, or vice versa.

I did - but then did the next turn :)
Yeah the game does get easier with less monsters but you’re still on a timer. And if people find the game too easy with 3 monsters then they can always add a 4th.
Now I have yet to beat the game against 4 monsters using 2 Heroes. But I managed to win against 4 in single player mode using the mayor. Really enjoying the game!

Here's a tip, I have owned this game for several weeks and still have no clue how it's played. The rules don't make sense and neither do these videos. I completely wasted my money and am stuck with it. There are far too many things to set up, there is no definitive instruction as to how the cards are to be used, it doesn't make sense how or why the villagers are used and at some point it appears the monsters run the game....but I have no clue as to whether that happens either. Absolute junk. I'm donating it to charity. Good luck to the next sucker.
