Oh boy, I needed to see this. I’m ashamed to say I haven’t cleaned my upright other than emptying out the dust bin. 🤦♀ I have one of those Bissell stick vacuums too and really like it. Thanks!

A port pieve of mine.... especially being my grandfather owned a Vaccum shop... i lived my summers from 7-8 yo yearning to go spend time there. My favorite was taking in service/ repair machines.. i love to see this content!!

Yes it is a great vacuum cleaner!
I discovered a trick for emptying out the filters in the wintertime (I also like to do it outdoors when it’s warm, but sometimes that’s not an option).
I get a large, clean garbage bag and put the filter inside. Make sure there’s some air in there. Hold the bag closed (no need to tie it) and hold the filter *through* the bag. Bang the filter (through the bag) against a table or whatever. The dust will fall to the bottom of the bag. The filter is still at the top, near the opening. Without opening the bag, lay it down sideways and let the dust settle, then remove the filter.
Sounds complicated because it’s hard to explain but it’s actually VERY easy once you try it! And no dust in the air! Well, maybe just a little 😊

I have an older shark canister vacuum which I love- never realized I could wash the dust bin in the sink-lol- always wiped out and it was a pain in the butt- thanks for showing us this video- and isn't funny how you need two vacuums- (to clean each other) also don't forget to clean your shop vacs - the filters are the worse, but started cleaning the filter on a regular basis and they last a really long time that way great video today

I have to wear masks when I clean my shark vacuums. This is why I throw them away 2x a year (I have asthma, and chronic bronchitis). The replacement filters for my Shark Rotator Professional Lift Away and Vertex are cheap on Amazon. They really are fantastic vacuum cleaners.
