I wonder if a full liquid detergent, not a pod, would have done better. Truthfully just water did the best when you compare wasting money on all the others.

I will be telling my SO about this. We need something small to handle house and car vacuuming! Challenge level for my region : getting possible mulchy, conifer-y debris out of the seal around my hatchback. My last car had endless issues from this and I never had a good way to get to all the debris ! Then again, I was also parking under trees. Needles, leaves, bits of bark, even those helicopter seed things would accumulate. But getting any of that gunk out of the seal would be fantastic for someone without a long enough cord to reach an outside parking spot. Great video and thank you again for your excellent channel !

I would love to see you use Force of Nature in your next test of produce washes. Their website (in the Tips section) says you can use it as a produce wash. Spray, wait 30 seconds, then rinse with cool water.

Very nice seeing this type of product review. I like odoban products very much do to the value per money. It was very nice to see you take the testing to the toilet bowl. To my small disappointment, I don't think you pre-cleaned. The toilet bowl and toilet bowl ring instruction for their Ready To use Sprays is "pre-clean" then "spray, brush, wait 60sec. I take this as spray some odoban in the bowl, under ring and brush, flush/use a bucket of water to empty bowl. Then sanitize by spray odoban again, brush, wait 60 sec then flush. The instruction for their concentrate are different. From concentrate add 5 flzo into bowl then brush, wait 10 minutes. This would be the best wait to use odoban to clean toilet bowls. It would be nice to see you test odoban again on toilet bowls/rings using the spray and concentrate including the pre-clean. Their usage instructions. Look for "Non-Acid Toilet Bowl Disinfectant Directions" and "Non-acid Toilet Bowl Sanitizer Directions" www.odoban.com/what-is-odoban With that said, great work. Keep doing your thing. You have gained a new subscriber.

So vinegar isn't a disinfectant cuz its only kills certain bacteria and not viruses and fungi. It only kills certain phases that the e coli bacteria is in and or it only inhibits growth. A stronger vinegar might work better. Rubbing alcohol will work amazing as well as bleach and lysol all are considered disinfectants. The soap seems to act as a deslimer. Soap in general doesn't kill bacteria or anything really. How soaps works is it removes that slime layer that some bacteria have think the plaque on your teeth. Its sticky and rinsing with water isn't enough so toothpaste and a brush help unstick the bacteria and the mechanical actions or scrubbing and rinsing and scrubbing removes the bacteria. So the soap works here on the surface for the same way and also keeps the product on the surface longer because amount of contact as certain amount of time is important if you read directions they usually state that the area must remain wet for like 15 mins. If it runs off it dries up faster which is probably why your toilet isn't getting clean because it's runs down the side and dries up faster. Try reapplying more product to keep the area saturated enough. Also if it dries then the bacteria can start multiplying again which will lead to poor results.

What about using bleach on whites? How much bacteria does that get rid of?

Oh this isn't to do as you think. Cross contamination is a huge huge huge issue when done outside a sanitized lab where we can actually use sterilized tools and equipment. We spray a broad ban disinfect on our surface. wash our hands wear a vote mask sterilized our inoculation equipment. Not to be confused with sanitize or disinfecting. Temperature is also important then we wash again and put loves on. Cotton swabs or even tooth picks have to sanitize and not exposed to air too long or touched by hand.

We flush with the toilet seat down. Occasionally I spray my walls, toilet and light switches with rubbing alcohol. It was an interesting experiment with surprising results. Thx

Can you try out how a steamer would work and/or scalding water? I assume you used hot water here, not boiling water.

I feel like you really didn’t clean the area with it. You just wiped it with a paper towel. That’s not really cleaning.

Do you think that the toilet being porcelain, being porous needs the vinegar to sit longer on porcelain? Could the vinegar still have worked? Counters are a blend of materials or marble, sinks are stainless steel. They are easier to sterilize?

I always use vinegar in my rinse cycle. When my last washer was almost 5 years old I had to have it serviced. The repairman had to take the drum out. He commented that "he had never seen a washer so clean on the walls surrounding the tub."

Been using this for years! I dilute it. 😊

Are there a lot of people eating from their toilet bowls and toilet bases? How clean do these things need to be?

Love your videos. This is how it is suggested to wash veggies in a juicing group I am a part of. Place a few drops of Lugols iodine in a sink or large bucket of distilled or Reverse Osmosis water Let veggies sit for about 2-3 minutes. Then rinse. Place leafy greens in salad spinner and get as much water off as possible For long term storage let completely Dry for (approximately 2 hours) and then place in airtight glass container with paper or cloth towel at bottom.

It would be interesting to see a follow up test of say, a week after cleaning to see how each method affects subsequent buildup. 50/50 might clean as well as pure vinegar initially. However, will it end up attracting more dirt and bacteria afterward?

Does Oxiclean sanitizer contain quats (QACs), like the Lysol laundry sanitizer and Odoban do? I’m trying to decrease or eliminate those in my home. Thank you.

I have been using a couple of tablespoons of 20 mule team Borax in with my detergent. The box says it kills germs and viruses. It also makes cottons softer and fluffier. That might be good to test as well. Also, it seems to me that your results showed that just 1/4 cup of household vinegar DID kill bacteria in your tub of lots of water. That’s impressive for a non toxic solution. I think adding at least a cup of vinegar ( or cleaning vinegar) with the detergent in the wash - would do a great job.

Have you ever tested peroxide mixed with dishwashing liquid to remove bacteria? Or even vinegar with dishwashing liquid. I would love to hear your thoughts on this
