Just How Advanced Is Su-57 Stealth Fighter?

- The SU-57 is a highly advanced and capable fighter jet well-suited for a wide range of missions. Its stealth capabilities, advanced avionics, and high maneuverability make it a formidable opponent in air-to-air combat, while its ability to carry a wide range of weapons makes it highly effective in air-to-ground missions. Its modular design and ease of maintenance also make it a highly efficient and cost-effective aircraft.

The Su-57 is absolutely a fantastic fighter aircraft, it just isn't the 5th generation fighter that Russia wanted it to be. Of course, the same is true of the Chinese J-20 and the various F-22 clones in design by many other nations right now.
The problem all of those countries have is that all they have is the general shape of the F-22 without understanding why it works. What they don't understand is that it literally costs many tens of billions of dollars to figure out how to reduce Radar Cross Section (RCS) by the amount they did on the F-22

@@parthaprotim5955 you don't think the fact that b2, f117, f22, f35, j20 all have their engine bodies covered by ram panels is a sign?
There's a reason why experts in the field say su57 is only stealth in the straight on front aspect, and why india ran away from the project.
Yeah but stealth technology does not work that way... It can have metal parts on the aircraft as long as it is unable to reflect radar waves. Im pretty sure that they thought about it.
@@MrCooper83 metals are highly reflective to radar. They did think about it. They decided that putting ram over inefficient russian engines would just cause the ram to burn off. They decided to run it bare and only focus on frontal aspect stealth.

Su57 is really 4.5 until it gets the new engines they are supposedly getting
It has an internal weapons bay which alone makes a big difference in stealth.
No "stealth" aircraft is invisible by radar.
All of them can still be seen.
The only difference is that their "signature" i.e. the blip you'll see on a radar screen is smaller.
Hell, you can still get a missile lock but you need to somewhat be close so that your sensors can properly detect it if it's using a jet fighter's sensors alone.
If there's an AEW&C plane, it increases the likelihood of being spotted as well.

It's a solid aircraft, just not very stealthy. Much like the J-20, both aircraft focus on having the front of the aircraft reflect and absorb radar, but not the rest of the aircraft. It's why Russia is not taking the risk of having the jet in Ukraine, as it would easily be shot down.
The problem is, with its large takeoff weight and internal fuel storage, it’s clear the J20 was made to rush into the area undetected and fire off missiles at assets like AWACS and refuelers, for which frontal stealth is most important. Cant say the same for the Su 57 which just seems like a show off dogfighter
Well it has been in Ukraine and the funny thing is, from the side, it's more stealthy than the f35. So is the j20 and f22. People don't even know what's done to give stealth but they're commenting
@@deven6518 Yes the F35 is the least stealthy but that is a by-product of it being cost effective. The J-20 and SU-57 though just simply have poor stealth qualities compared to the old B-2 and F-22. You are 100% right that most people have no idea what they're talking about.
@@Captain_Mace the f35 is not cost effective. The bare aircraft is as expensive as a fully kitted 4++ gen and it's more expensive than all except the f22, when kitted out.
They do not have poor stealth qualities. My point about most people not knowing about stealth is that looking at both aircraft, you can see stealth everywhere. If you're just looking at the aircraft and making comparisons off head then that's an issue.
The old b-2 is more stealthy than the f22 as well. Highly angular airframes is not the optimal design for stealth, especially since it's highly dependent on receiver vector and panel length. You would observe that the su57 and j20 employ curves in many places, to increase continuous panel length and reduce the effects of off angle reflections. Coupled with their relatively flat bodies it makes for quite a hard to detect platform. It also makes them more resistant to detection by longer wavelengths, the true challenge for a stealth aircraft. There are things like this everywhere, but people don't care. They know f22 and f35, they believe it's the best and that's all they want to hear.
@@deven6518 F-35 is cost effective for what it can do. Too many people think RCS is the only factor when these 5th generation aircraft have much more to them. The most advanced system of the fighter is its GPS by far.A Garmin device sticked to dash by a tape 😂😂🤣
how bout UA air force? P-51 Mustang?
@@nhatpham2206 yes a P51 could probably shoot this Russian junk down, thanks for asking.😊
@@dan4500 ah ok, then why I see no jets got down these days? those "junk" still flying and bombarding
@@nhatpham2206 yes cause the crappy U.S fighter jets fall to the ocean once they take off from the aircraft carriers.
@@JuanVargas-jv5tsyeah what 1 out of over 800 active f35, how many felons out there lol..
first time seeing an unbiased review of the su57, and it is amazing. keep up the good work!
Lol there’s a reason the Indian Air Force rejected their order of su57’s. They found out it wasn’t capable of half the thing Russia claimed it was capable of 😂
Finally a non biased vid on su-57, great job
So stealthy that its only been seen in videogames and movies
Let’s keep in mind, that until 90-days ago, the SU-57 was being powered with engines from the SU-30 jet fighter aircraft.
The SU-57 engines were finally completed and the plane now works at its stated performance parameters.
I'd like to know how they got the stealth tech.😡
Pyotr Yakovlevich Ufimtsev (sometimes also Petr; Russian: Пётр Я́ковлевич Уфи́мцев) (born 1931 in Ust-Charyshskaya Pristan, West Siberian Krai, now Altai Krai) is a Soviet/Russian physicist and mathematician, considered the seminal force behind modern stealth aircraft technology. In the 1960s he began developing equations for predicting the reflection of electromagnetic waves from simple two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects.[1] 😎🇷🇺
I guess same way china got
A russian guy invented stealth, yall are just lucky soviet leadership rejected him
For me the BEST FIGHTER JET in the WORLD🔥🔥🔥
Как Русский заявляю: это мой самый любимый самолëт из всех самолëтов этой компании!
Greatest fighter jet ever❤❤❤
it's screech is enough to ive you goosebumps
Man, sure is a lot of military espionage experts in here considering they’re all 100% positive on the exact numbers and capabilities of all these foreign aircraft.
The Russian designers don’t seem to want the pilots to be able to see what’s behind them.
Rooster: What the f*uck
Why are civillians debating about military aircrafts? It's a killing machine, nothing to scoff at.
So stealthy that not even Russian army can’t see it. Lol 😂
Su 57 eats F planes as snacks!
Regardless, it is a masterpiece that has beautiful and fierce eyes
SU-57 equipped with Brahmos
SU-57: let's play hide and seek❤
