It's rare hearing live performances that sound better than the studio version. This is one of them. Powerful, emotional, beautiful.

I dont hear it sounding "better". But it does sound exactly the same. Which is saying something. His voice, guitar playing, ect. A lot of artist fix themselves up in the studio. True talent dont need it

It kinda reminded me of Conor Oberst when he was singing, and when I heard "There's coke in the Midas touch," even though I couldn't make out exactly what he was saying with all the background noise from TWD, I made a note in my phone with that line and came to my friends house and googled the lyrics, and finally listened to this whole song last night and I love it.
Listen to the entire EP. This is a masterpiece.

That scene with Herschel in the walking dead was absolutely fantastic and this song really added to it. I'm glad I found this gem of a song. Btw, that episode was probably the best of all the episodes so far.

I love this music. I love to listen to this music and listen to the sounds. This music accompanies me for a good few years in solitude. It is as if created for lonely people who are constantly looking for their place in the world and looking for their own way to find their soul mate. Or something else.This music is very emotional.

Sometimes a song and a voice just plats at ur heartstrings.. this does.. it moves your soul
This song is about dying. And part of it is personal to Ben Howard, so we don't know those details unless you're his friend. But "go your way, I'll take the long way round, I'll find my own way down, as I should" is about trying to have some control over the way that you die. The part about "a joke in the way that we rust and breathe again" is about how oxygen eventually kills people because it interacts with other elements and creates free radicals (like oxidation or rust) but we breath again because we have no choice. Oxygen keeps us alive and then kills us and it's a cosmic joke.
