Rush - Lost but Won (Piano Version)
Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
It's time for Hans Zimmer again! Some of you have asked for it over and over again, now you get it. "Lost but Won" is the most popular track from the soundtrack of the movie "Rush". I hope you like it!
Any suggestions for future arrangements? Please leave them in the comments.
"A wise man can learn more from his enemies than a fool from his friends." ~Niki Lauda
Only fools have enemies.
RIP Niki
@@jonathankr True, a wise man learns things from his enemies by not discrediting them as enemies. It's harder than it sounds.
True facts
Amazing movie 😍
There’s something about Hans Zimmer, he makes dramatic peaceful. One of the greatest composers of the century, keep up the great work Patrik!
Sorry, but Hans Zimmer is one of the Greatest for sure, but the one and only GOAT is John Williams, because he really writes his music, Hans Zimmer has gotten to the point where it is a misic production and only unknown composeres work under the name of Hans Zimmer. It is just my opinion and pieces like Pirates of the Caribbean are still peaces of centuries
Joram Röder very true, I forgot about Williams. I’ll edit my comment
Joram Röder Disagree. The fact that some unknown composers would release their music under his name doesn’t change the fact that Time, Tick Tock/Mountains, No time for Caution, Gladiator- Now We are Free are some of the best pieces used in film this century.
Lo Low agreed
Hans f*cking Zimmer is more godlike than God himself bro
Rush is Han Zimmer's most underrated film score...
TRUE! but I think "The Last Samurai" is even more underrated, sadly.
True...
It is underrated because the movie is underrated
Totally agree. I liked it when I watched the movie and then deeply fall in love when I was on the "The World of Hans Zimmer" concert. This soundtrack and especially "Lost but Won" is in my top 3 of all time.
Thank you
Patrik Pietschmann for this incredible arrangement!
My opinion is interstellar score is the best i heard
James Hunt: I am the fastest.
Niki Lauda: No, I am.
Patrick's Right Hand: good bye everyone
Bye have a great time
Patrick's Left Hand: Eat muh Dust!
I play most his and everyone else's songs at 2x while learning so I have no issues playing them at 1x. Love playing the Dark Knight fast, and Tron isn't bad, some sound just silly though so its mostly just for practice.
@@the6atekeeper597 woop sorry Mozart leave some girls for us too
@@eleeyah4757 Niki Lauda: hold my shitbox
Did I scream when I saw the title of the song? Yes, a little. Did I cry I little when I herd it? Very much so. Thank you Patrick, this is beautiful!
I did the same thing as well when I saw the title. I've been requesting this song for MONTHS. It is as beautiful as I thought it would be.
could you possibly do “Le Mans 66” from Ford v Ferrari? That would be amazing, also, amazing job on this video!
or maybe “Journey to the Line” from the Thin Red Line
@@NickErdman thin red line is a great film
Absolutely loved le mans 66 would also love to see Patrik cover it
Dedicated to Ken Miles!
Really!
Gorgeous performance and arrangement! This is such an underrated Hans Zimmer piece.
It's an amazing one.
Lost but Won is one of Hans Zimmer's masterpieces. It is absolutely amazing. I don't know why it is so underrated, I get goosebumps everytime I listen to it
You can hear it's from Hans Zimmer it's a combination of "the dark knight", "gladiator", just very soundtrack from Hans Zimmer and weirdly it has some flair of game of throne ^^
It has some man of steal in there also.
also Pirates of the Caribbean
And inception
Just everything from Hans Zimmer 😂😂
I am surprised no one is mentioning interstellar 🤔
Or did I make a mistake?
Rest in Peace Niki Lauda and James Hunt :')
The best ❤
They're dead? How? Corona?
@@pharos7466 James Hunt died in 93 due to a Heart Attack, Lauda died one year ago cuz he had a problem with his lungs.
Esos fueron los verdaderos 👏 tratare de conseguir la peli a ver que tal 😮
@@MoniFps Maybe some problems/toxic gas damages to his lungs from his crash too
Can't believe you actually did this. I've been waiting for a good cover of this for years!
"One world title is enough, he had prove what he needed to prove, to him self and anyone who doubted him."
-Niki Lauda
"Whats the point having a milion cups and medal if you dont have any fun, hows that winning ?"
-James Hunt
Exactly...The fun and the commitment and the path are way more important than the medals...Medals without pain or challenge is like an empty cup.->its useless..Personnally I don't need medals, because I award medals to myself everytime I go running and I force myself to go until the end without abandoning, relentlessly.
Piano gives me so many emotions 😢
Ami Jup! I agree! 🎹🔥
Niki Lauda: Happiness is your biggest enemy. It weakens you. Puts doubts in your mind. Suddenly you have something to lose!
That's a reason why I feel no happiness since I got born
@@AppleLauda_destroyer99942 Golly
Patrick Pietschmann und Hans Zimmer ist einfach die beste Kombi! So wunderschön.
not agree
I didn’t even know that Rush was a thing until I heard this song. Rush is now on my mental watchlist.
Update: i've seen the movie now. Absolute gold mine of pure beauty, adrenaline, and respect.
I spent the first minute thinking "god this Rush song sounds a lot like Hans Zimmer." 🤦🏻♂️
An underrated score for an underrated movie, deeply moving.
The final race in the torrential rain * shivers *
Fantastic!!
absolutely love it - definitely gotta watch the Movie
ayy lmao
BoostedHD ayyo
Great movie
What movie? O.o
@@Deverik1981 Rush 😂
This song actually works perfectly with today! 75 years ago, on the 8th of May, Nazi Germany surrendered, and if you look at it from the german's perspective, they lost, but they also won because the nazi reign had come to an end!
Great work as always! Sounds amazing
fun fact : 8 means lucky in eastern countries, so 8 lucky for Germany and her people.
That's Beautiful
I see that Patrik's resumed learning all of Hans Zimmer's songs, after giving him a brief period to compose more material.
Also, the cover's beautiful. What else is new?
The nature of Daylight by Max Richter... I really want to see how you will approach such a masterpiece. all the love for your work.
khaldoon fozo Yes!
That's my fav string song of all time is love to see him do it
khaldoon fozo Embers by Max would be great too 😍
Yes he should do it😍😍
The film was great, but this piece, I don’t think anyone else could have captured hunt and Laudas battles better than Hans, may those to legends rest in piece
My all time favourite piano piece. I loved every bit of this song. Hans Zimmer is a true genius. Also the original one was epic, but this is beyond all.
this is by far the best piano version of this soundtrack!
If I had 5mn left to live, I would listen to this. Seriously that's wonderful
Hans zimmer's musics are great, but the reverb of sir Patrick's arrangement gives your ears something they will never get otherwise -- the vibration of warmth of the piano
Rest in peace, champion you have crossed the line.
1 year ago today:(
I actually went to go see lauda in a race quite a while back. He was still the legend he was in his golden age, what an amazing person.
Drive in peace.
what on earth are you ? an octopus?
Davy Jones
All these covers by Patrik Pietschmann are my best stress busters ngl
Best soundtrack for a Formula 1 movie
Best performance of this soundtrack in piano
I was waiting a lot for this
One of my favourite songs from the great Hans Zimmer. Thanks for bring us this amazing piece!!!
I AM SHELL SHOCKED AT THIS SONG
Nearly made me cry even though i havent heard this song
The magic finger...
Love it
So happy to hear another masterpiece from Zimmer by your hands ♥️♥️
Wow. Shivers. Hans Zimmer makes the most amazing melodies and sounds incredible on piano ❤️
Everyone: Patrik, please upload faster! It's ok if the videos are a little lesser in quality!
Patrik: Professionals have *STANDARDS*
Is everyone actually like that? I'd much rather have good quality and less uploads than the other way around
Same indeed.
As you said A Person professionals have standards and quality not quantity.
I have Marioverehrer and MusicSheetBoss for frequent uploads of all sorts. Rousseau for little higher quality uploads, but Patrick makes the best high quality stuff of all of them. They all coexist and have their advantages and disadvantages and I enjoy watching them all.
@@7own878 "MusicSheetBoss" is a grave mutilation of my fellow comrade's name
@@7own878 Dude... excluding Marioverehrer, I have the exact same schedule
Your fingers are obviously supernatural !!!
Hans is the mozart of our era...

"What's the point of having a million cups and medals if you don't have any fun? How is that winning?" - James Hunt, Rush
Great performance and arrangement like always! Hans Zimmer is definitely one of my favourites and its great to see a channel like you make videos of the exact same things I'm interested in. Keep up the good work!
Umm...(it’s james hunt)
@@프레디khjfreddy Peter is James' brother, I think he was the one saying that quote. I don't quite remember.
It was James said it to Niki at the airport
@@mikka272 I'll fix that.
I like how in the movie Niki Lauda is the perfect role model, never give up, always put in 100% effort etc. but James Hunt is such a mood too like we all should have fun while living our lives
Zimmer's music is art at the highest level and you have nailed it near perfection
I never heard the peaces Patrik ever played. But they are so good that when I listen the original one after his videos. I know that Patrik makes everything better.
Hans Zimmer is truly the greatest music composer ever.......
No way! Patrik arranged a piece where there is a faint chance of playing more than the first 10 seconds! 😂♥️ so much love and respect man
You should have more followers. Not everyone can play so beautifully.
May the Legend himself Rest In Peace!
You will never be forgotten Niki
What about James Hunt
This song was perfect for that movie. It added so much depth to it.
Omg thank you very very much for this. You are the best!!!
Hey ! I didn't know this piece, it is so good, I can hear some Game of thrones in the melody especially the rain of castamere. wich is good to my ear ahah. Could you play in the future Dark phoenix theme, blade runner 2049, more westworld or more interstellar ? thank you !
I hear game of thrones to, and a lot of dark Knight
Its even better when you watched the movie (Rush) and know the story that the piece came with.
@@Ikopiano definitely dark knight
I think Hans has also taken much inspiration from his Batman soundtracks.
First time I hear this song, it is definitely too much alike to Rains (Reynes) of Castamere, which aired a year before Rush. Awkward.
Thank you so much Patrik for listening to your subscribers. It is absolutely amazing 😍😍
Patrik is a legend.
never heard this piece before, but man I love it
I'm a simple woman. I see Patrick playing a Hans Zimmer score, I upvote.
Patrik always finds a way to make hans Zimmers scores sound even better. You sir, are a true ARTISTE!!
I've just listened to this song today in the car, and this night Patrick surprised me! Thank u!
My goodness this is beautiful...how have I never heard this before!?!
RUSH is an incredible movie by Ron Howard. It tells the story of the rivalry between F1 drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda. Highly recommend it if you haven't seen it. This is also one of my favourite scores by Hans. It is why I kept requesting that Patrik make a cover of it. I knew he'd do an amazing job with it.
I've been waiting for this for so long. This music is so powerful.
We will remember every driver who passed away on or off the track. Each of them contributed to the history and development of Formula 1.
Hi Patrick,
I hope you are fine and all is ok for you, very good dynamics in your interpretation.
I wish you the best and take care.
"The closer you are to death the more alive you feel"
When i heard about his death, i didn't surprise. I just felt sad.
Those 16th notes on that middle D are freaking me out for some reason.
this track " lost but won" is the track which empowered me in hard times and you definitely did a fantastic job playing it..hats off
I love this movie and this bit of music in particular. So good to hear it played on piano with this level of excellent skill 😊💜
I love this soundtracks and thanks you for sharing it in piano version. I'ts really great. Keep playing like this.
Hans Zimmer is a legend. One of the best soundtrack composer with Ennio Morricone and John Williams.
Omg I had forgotten how epic that theme was. Thanks for reminding me!
Journey To The Line (but the long version from 'Live in Prague') would be sooo fantastic to see how you would handle it! I think it's the greatest piece, that Hans Zimmer has written so far.
I love that movie. Daniel Brühl as Nici Lauda was so epic
Patrik's arrangements of Hans Zimmer's music are always on point! So good!
Rush was the one of the movies that has given me Goosebumps like hell
Why are people commenting "Fantasic" and "nicee" before even watcing the video? Comment afterwards bruh.
Edit: Watched it. Absolutely awesome.
Nice
well we already know it’s gonna be great 🤷♂️
You must be new here @veketal
Because they are in a rush ;)
Exactly!!! They're just farming for likes and/ or a possible heart from Patrik. Vids been out for 10 seconds and ppl are commenting "Amazing" already.
Yes! He did it!
I do not have any suggestion because evey arrangement is a masterpiece. I want an original piece from you again they are just magic!
It's as if you know every piece I like and play it. Thank you!
The past had Bach, Beethoven, we have Hans Zimmer.....❤
What i really appreciate is that you listen to your subscribers like me who ask you to play that song and you did an amazing job, big like from France !
If you want an other idea as a fan of star wars you should do "Rogue One - Your father would be proud"
Both of them are racing in heaven now, RIP Lauda
When I go to heaven one day, I wanna join them... Racing along Niki's side would be awesome
This movie always makes me remember my dad, thx patrik for such amazing arrangement.
Thank you very much! I've been waiting for this for a long time. I love this cover. Thank you again, you are the best!
Awesome as always! Could you do "Honor" from "The Pacific"? It's always by Hans Zimmer!
Patrik, I listen to your renditions often and I have to say, this has become one of my favorites. You're the best.
King of the past - Hans Zimmer ❤️
Just found your channel and your videos are so wonderfully mesmerizing with your beautiful music.
Hey patrik! "rue's farwell" from The hunger games is something you should try in the future!😀

The Flash! Yes please!!!!!!
A Flash cover by this guy would be incredible. I kind of doubt it'll ever happen, but we can hope.
WINDOW TO THE PAST!!! (HP)
its beautiful!
Superbe, magnifique interprétation. Bravo monsieur Pietschmann !!
YOU ARE SO FREAKING PERFECT! Your talent is undescribeable
Gorgeous piece, Hans Zimmer is always amazing.
Also, you should do Night Window or 1600 men from 1917
You have done many hans zimmer arrangements but don't forget his most iconic piece "journey to the line".
You are a Legend.... After listening to your version the real version looks like a composition done by a school kid.
Right amount of power and suttleness
Bloody hell, people really do have magical fingers!!
I love that your work makes me feel so deep, it is magnificent in every way!
I believe that if you could do a soundtrack from Avatar: The Last Airbender or The Legend of Korra, it would be amazing!
I'm tearbending already...
Avatar movie was such a blast when it came up! Sad that there is no great piano cover of it..It looks like nobody's talking about this movie anymore...Time goes by so fast...
Rest in Peace Niki Lauda😔❤️
Stunning, insane fingers!!!
Finally someone who arranged this song on piano only! I love it!
