Good tips that would save a lot of people a lot of trouble if they just checked their bike before a ride. Recently a local group ride got off to a rocky start when a rider had his front wheel pop out. He ended up face-planting right on the concreate and ended up going to the hospital. Stay safe out there!
Thank you so so much for making this. I can never quite get how to do an M check across to people, and always go into too much detail or miss something simple (doing one every time I wash my bike, it's fine if I miss something, it won't be long until the next one, but showing people I know will do it once a year it will matter)
I've just chased a creak on my Powerplay motor for 2 hours. Re-greased everything and then found it was probably 2 loose chainring bolts making all the noise... 🤦🏼♂️
@@zygmuntthecacaokakistocrat6589 Waxing is a messy process. And it doesn't last in the wet. At least with lube you don't have to clean the chain 4 times with solvent and soak it in wax. Wax makes the chain slower too.
Truman please throw away the bubble gum prior to making a video and Kelvin please get a old bike to show in real time how to ajust and check all the quirks a used bike might have, not the latest model, still brand new. This video is useless.
Apologies! The gum thing is gross. The video is meant as a reminder, not as a walk through of any specific repair. Almost every individual check mentioned has a dedicated video. Run through the M check, find an issue, and then visit our channel for a video covering the repair in detail.
O.G Calvin reppin them Park gang signs
🤙🏼

Great walk-through! Shocked you used a 1x though. Gentle reminder to check the front derailleur and associated equipment 😃

For Mechanics like me? You can just say lousy cockups, we know what we are.
No tubeless, flat pedals.
Use a chain lube that lasts for 25 hours, no need to lube all the time in 2024. Or wax if you like a mess.
And here was I thinking that wax stopped all the black gunky mess. Silly me.

Did that in January 😄
I also like to twang my spokes to see if there's one where the tension is off.
Thats a great thing to do!
And when you do have a saddle bag make sure the zips are closed
👍👌
No saddle bag on a dropper!😂
I have one on mine. Attaches to the saddle rails only.
Writing the M backwards🤨
But if you look from the other side it's the right way
Drive side out
I love it!!! THE M CHECK ✅☑✔
