I'm surprised you didn't get a copyright strike. I got one for showing a 5 second clip. But this movie is amazing I know that his movies never have atmos tracks that would have made it better. Thanks for review.
I am getting ready to switch to a 4K OLED tv and true 4K player. I have a feeling my Xbox one S is upscale. So I can only imagine how great its gonna look on 4K. I enjoyed it in theaters. Gonna be picking up Dunkirk next Tuesday on 4K
I bought a very expensive 4K player. With that said it does not mean that 4K discs quality is superior to Blu Ray.There is a hand full of 4K movies that are true 4K benchmarks.Watch reviews before you purchase 4K discs.I have seen Blu Ray look far more crisp when upscaled than 4K with its opera smooth look.I always wondered why they sell the Blu Ray and 4K bundled. They not sure which one is better lol
A little late to the party, but do you think Christopher Nolan will ever get another Criterion Collection release? I’d love to see Dunkirk and Tenet in the Criterion Collection
Actually, buying The Dark Knight on 4K Blu-ray is definitely worth it if you were stuck with the original Blu-ray. WB fucked up the original Blu-ray for that movie, changed the color grading that strayed it from the original vision by Nolan and DP Wally Pfister. The 4K with it's HDR grading restores the original look from the cinema experience, along with the original theatrical score as envisioned by Nolan's sound crew for that movie. Trust me, I own it, it's definitely worth it!
I didn't like the fact that we sometimes get a full screen picture and then other times we get the narrow screen with black bars at the top and bottom. I find that to be very annoying and I really don't get the point of shrinking and enlarging the picture.
That's because 70mm imax cameras are very costly and bulky. They make a lot of noise while filming dialog scenes. That's why they switch from 70mm to 35mm aspect ratio.
Nolan wanted the best of all worlds he could get given production constraints, he gets props for pulling out all the stops in my opinion. He got plenty of pushback from the studio due the same reasons you outline. Videophile vs. joe shmoe comparison in my mind. You decide where you fall on that continuum.
You're judging him on a youtube video filmed with his phone or some shit. Do you not see the overall quality of the video you're watching?? Quite the smug asshole you are
this is the ONLY war movie that felt REAL, felt like i was there myself......not even Saving Private Ryan gave me that feeling...........its a 10/10 from me and the 4k looks amazing..........by the way no disrespect to SPR still my best war film

Not gonna read all the comments, but just move the 4K disc to the left side of the case, and stack the Blu-ray discs together...

You won't be disappointed, especially with that OLED!
I recently just did this. Got rid of the Xbox One S and bough the LG 4K Player with Vision and the B7 OLED. Never going back..

Did I hear you correctly. You played this on an X Box ?
Back when I reviewed this, yes. Nothing wrong with the Xbox as a player.

Nope. I might be wrong, but I don't think Criterion releases films that already have a 4k release.
Maybe “Memento”.
NOlan...great films...no ATMOS or DTS X...not worth buying on 4k unless you don't have the bluray version.

You notice it?

two different cameras, two different aspect ratios. If you ever watch one of his movies in true IMAX70MM presentation, it'll make more sense

@@Annie-ph8vq there being a technical reason for ut doesn't change the fact that it can be distracting
Holy crap, sort out your settings on your TV. You have no blacks.
Andrew Burton it’s the camera - not the TV. Things get washed out in a dark room when filming.

That movie sucked balls... worst movie I've ever seen. 😡😡
You beat me to it. Awful movie but it does look good.
Worst really? Sorry it's not a girls chick film which I'm sure you like 😘

I think you must be referring to the most recent Marvel superhero film and clicked on the wrong video
