  • 4K UHD Blu-ray review of the 2021 Death on the Nile directed by Kenneth Branagh. There are only four Panavision System 65 cameras left in the world and they were used to shoot this production. Computer generated imagery dilute the impact of the fabulous quality of much of it but overall it is still one of the best image quality 4K discs thus far released.
Image aspect ratio is the 'Scope frame of approximately 2.40:1 and the sound on the 4K disc is Dolby Atmos but on the Blu-ray is it s DTS 7.1. The extra features are on the Blu-ray only.
Please excuse the typographical error on the final caption which fails to state 'specifically' correctly but it would have taken an additional three hours to correct, compile and re-upload this video for that single error so I decided it wasn't really worth the trouble.
    John.

Thank you Timothy. A bit risky to dare to even mention anything like this now but it wouldn't be right not to give an honest appraisal. I did actually like the relationship between Poirot and Salome Otterbourne but her attitude and general behaviour would not have been of a dominant nature back in 1937, even in England. I certainly didn't like the lesbian nonsense which was unnecessary and should have simply remained implied rather than in our faces. John.

It's still a good, enjoyable view and enhanced by some of the wonderful 65mm not downscaled by computer animation. John.

She had never done anything like that before Mark. We'd all saved up to purchase the odd cut down and shorts but Death on the Nile was too irresistible for her and without telling good ol' Dad she was on the telephone to Derann Film Services and a couple of days later that box arrived. What fun that film has provided down the years and it's due another screening soon. I always laugh my head off at Niven and Ustinov but love every aspect of that film. The funny thing is Terry, this is better suited to a 4K disc than it was a 70mm print at the Odeon. The 70mm print was better, but of course it was, but the compromises are less distracting now it's on a low cost home video. I did like the film the first time around but right from the start I could see something had gone awry and I couldn't help myself but to sit there and try to work it out rather than enjoy the film for what it was rather than how it was. Morning Pete. We both very much enjoyed Death on the Nile too. It was somewhat more impressive at the Odeon but somehow it was more suitable as a 4K disc owing to all the jiggery pokery to make the 70mm prints. Most of the same foibles are still present but it's fine for a video disc rather than the flagship format of cinema.
Just had my first comment where my daring to mention 'woke' has upset someone. I was concerned to do that because there are still plenty of folk out there who want to cancel or criticize as soon as they perceive anyone may not have the same opinions as them. A terrible shame.

Another excellent, informative review with some delightful personal touches, thank you.
As far as your comments on the content of this particular movie, I think they are fair, and as the point of these videos is to present your opinion to others (who can then make up their own minds as to whether they agree or not) I think you should be free to do so. Obviously it's now a very sensitive area and if you use a particular word beginning with 'W' to describe the issue many films have been having of late it will upset some who will inevitably lump you in with 'nasty people' on UA-cam.
I don't believe you are trying to be unkind. I felt it was clear that your criticism was not intended to exclude or insult any of your viewers. Your point, it seemed to me, was that a period film - unless it's a spoof - should at least attempt to be plausible if it can't be 100% authentic. In other words, however well-made or well-intentioned, anachronistic language, attitudes and behaviour can be jarring in a historical movie. We're seeing an awful lot of that in recent years, and it's a shame.
Your channel is so good-natured and charming I would be saddened if you are attacked for what should be considered a reasonable opinion, so I think it is wise to continue to tread carefully in future videos - while still being honest, of course!

Great review John as always to think you were only watching this film 8 weeks ago at the ODEON in 70mm and now you have your own copy this proves commercial Cinema is just a shop window for the home market! Re it being shot on 65mm for 70 mm Cinema release I just don't see the point really only about half a dozen Cinemas are equipped for 70mm and 90% of the Original Cinema Projectionists have left the industry or made redundant when awful DIGITAL Projection came in over 10 years ago its makes me wonder if they had to call in some of the original Projectionists because I'm sure most now only know how to push a button on a Digital Projector not a clue on lacing up REAL FILM! Loved your comments re your 8mm Full Feature and doing your change overs took me back to my Cinema Projectionist days back in the 70s Happy Days! -
Your comments re the 70 mm print being struck from a 4k Video Master WHAT! this is NOT REAL 70mm Presentation its just Video transferred to Film why would they do that cutting costs probably, that's why John it did not look as good as it should have at the ODEON Leicester Square on the screen - David Lean and Freddie Young would turn in their graves the thought of this! Your video tour by the way John of whats left of the Leicester Square Cinemas was great in my opinion they have ruined The ODEON from what it was back in the 80s to modern looking the seating every thing about it just not the lovely old ODEON style. And may i say the Original "Death On The Nile" from 1978 and Stellar Cast and real Egyptian locations, Jack Cardiffs stunning photography 35mm! and even the great Nino Rota Score just puts this remake in the shade I'm afraid to say! What a great post Mark - thank you! You have put it into words perfectly with regard to cinema now just being a shop window for the home market and I fear that the home market the studios want is streaming so picture quality in those cinemas that will survive (and I fear there may not be very many of them) will continue to decline. The 4K video to 65mm negative suspicion I worked out from what I was looking at in the Odeon does seem to be correct but if someone does come out of the woodwork to tell me otherwise I'll mention it in a future video. It may actually be a little worse than coming from a 4K video because so much of the film appears to have gone through computer animation touch-ups and that means all those sequences are most likely to have been output at 2K. Having said all this, the clarity of the 65mm does scale down and then back up so I suspect that right from the start having the 70mm prints struck for the few cinemas around the world that can still screen it was a compromise as budgeting for editing on film might have added a few thousand pounds to the cost. Actually it might have added tens of thousands more, I really don't know. You'd think that a budget of about £65m could have incorporated editing the original negative but when you consider that so much had to go through a computer was there any point? Irrespective of all this, it still looks pretty darned good and is one of the best quality 4K discs in my collection so they didn't get it too badly wrong I suppose.
The 1978 film is better but that did not surprise me a jot! And the Odeon is actually rather nice Mark. I don't know how they can make it pay with so few seats but I suspect it's being used as some sort of loss leader to promote the Odeon chain as a whole.

      @moviecollector5920  2 роки тому

Evening Steve. I agree about Orient Express being the better film, no doubt about that. The CGI in this one may be the rear screen projection being confused for computer animation. It looked realistic in 70mm and it looks realistic here too but I do know what Egypt looks like on film owing to the Super 8 I shot there and it does sometimes look like the beautiful sun soaked orange portrayed in this film. However, there's a deleted scene that has the rear projection in place but it clearly had to go through a computer as there are unfinished elements to it. It is therefore possible that the rear projection shots may all have had to go through a computer but I don't know if that means those shots are therefore CGI. What it probably does tell us is that the 65mm film put into the computer came back out at a lowly 2K and that would explain the compromises with the 70mm prints.

Agatha Christie reluctantly agreed to casting Finney as Poirot she would have hated Ustinov as Poirot but she died 2 years before Death on the Nile was made and she certainly wouldn’t have approved of Branagh in the part I think she would have accepted Suchet but she never intended that character to ever be seen on screen and she was vocal about this. She also left him out of her plays including Murder on the Nile on which Death on the Nile was based the detective in the play was called Canon Pennyfather.

    Hi John,
I was just rewatching this review after seeing this film last night and was curious as to how much the super 8 feature of Death on the nile '78 would have cost back then.
I've been checking ebay, weekly, to see if there are any good deals on some super 8 releases, but non so far. Ive been cleaning my projector before and after each time I use it and seems that its not adding any more damage to the prints.
    have a great day, John!

I think the 1978 Death on the Nile Super 8 feature was £168 but it might have been £148. It was thereabouts anyway. A major investment back then but it proved to be a good long term investment as it's been run many, many times. It's rather faded now which is sad but I'll have a play with it next time I run it as it may be possible to minimize the apparent fade with a light blue filter. It won't be as good as new but it should still be eminently watchable with a bit of blue added back in as it's been going a bit pink.
I was thinking about your report of film grain on your system and it could be that there's a digital enhancement setting somewhere that is causing it. I really don't recall being aware of film grain and because it was a 65mm shoot any grain should have been minimal. John at Mondo Chelloveck Movies reported fairly excessive grain in parts of Murder on the Orient Express which we looked for and looked for but couldn't find. He had the same thing with Top Gun and we simply just didn't have the same thing.

I have sent you an email about where I can obtain a certain style 35mm film splicer for an affordable price. seems the only ones I can find are 500 dollars on ebay.

@@ClarkTeddles I don't know what is causing film grain to appear on some systems and not others Clark but it's likely to be a digital 'enhancement' that's causing it. I don't know if you'd upset the rest of your family by playing with all the settings but that's what I'd be doing. If 'sharpen' is up high on either the player or the telly then that could be it as that feature sharpens everything including things you don't want enhanced such as grain structure that should be invisible. I'll reply to your email about a 35mm splicer in a moment so stand by.

I wonder if the lesser quality result vs Orient Express has been affected by Disney’s takeover of Fox, as this is one of the few Fox produced movies to actually get a 4k release since Disney’s takeover? A lot of the Fox movies seem to be getting left by the wayside with only particular choices getting the 4k release.
Have spoken with you before on the Orient Express review abut my issues with both of these movies and my issues with Branagh’s direction - I do feel he did make a stronger attempt to be cinematic with this movie, but still I think falls short of his previous cinematic brilliance shown in movies such as the original Thor movie. I think there are numerous problems with changes made to the movie, as you mentioned certain woke elements seem to have crept in, but also the opening war scene and epilogue regarding Poirot’s moustache, which felt, like the boiled egg scenario in Orient Express, like a poor attempt to explain Poirot’s eccentricities, and as a result dumbed down the character’s excellent in spotting attention to detail. Certainly Branagh’s trying to put his own stamp on the character, but it’s kind of like trying to give the audience a peek behind the curtain at a magic trick, unnecessary and lessens the character instead of strengthening him. I’m more interested in what happened to his love as a result of that opening than anything else. Also, as a Brit, wondering if you were as distracted by the on-screen pairing of Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French as I was, a strange casting choice to have both in the same movie as it’s a screen pairing that a lot with history that is very hard to not see every tie you see the two of them together.

    • @moviecollector5920
      @moviecollector5920  2 роки тому +1

I rather liked French and Saunders together in this but we certainly didn't need it explained to us that they were playing lovers. If that had have been left alone then it would have only left a couple of minor offences. I did like the implied upcoming relationship between Salome Otterbourne and Poirot though, it's just a shame that wasn't the only element of the whole Hollywood box ticking exercise that was left in. I like Branagh's interpretation of Poirot but no one will ever match Peter Ustinov as far as I'm concerned. I could never get into the television series despite trying several times but that was because I didn't like Poirot who wasn't the Poirot I knew. David Suchet may have been more like Agatha Christie's interpretation for all I know but I didn't find him entertaining or interesting and Branagh is both of those things. I haven' seen Thor and it's unlikely I will anytime soon. Thor was always a minor comic book character and as much as I enjoyed those stories in one of the Marvel weekly comics I never bothered purchasing a bespoke Thor comic. If I'd have been 40 years younger I expect I'd be watching all these big screen comic book adaptations but as much as I still love Batman and Spider-Man (and to a lesser extent Superman) I don't get particularly enthused for the current film adaptations of those characters.
Death on the Nile is a very entertaining film as far as I'm concerned. Just like the train in Orient Express they actually built the boat. Unfortunately it was too big a prop to be able to use an LED wall as they did with Orient Express but I thought the rear projection was outstanding and replicated the look and light of Egypt very well. Most think they're watching green screen effects with the backgrounds animated in using a computer but they actually shot most of it live. However, it seems that a lot of those shots still had to go through a computer and that probably helped in reducing the overall image quality!!!

Something to take note of on Nolan's productions, while they are still finished with a true spliced negative, anything with digital effects will obviously be a filmout from 8K digital files. I personally didn't notice a difference between the two when I saw Interstellar on 15/70. The black hole was of course done purely digitally, and it's one of the most striking images I've ever seen in a theater.

Good point. Perhaps the computer animation for Mr. Nolan's films really is being rendered at 8K which would explain why those sequences look so good. When I heard there would be a new version I was excited, because the ingenious plot, if well handled, could make it extraordinary, but alas, from all accounts, the makers of this new version overplayed their hand and missed the opportunity to create a definitive classic. I have Oblivion and Passengers on Blu-ray Rikaard and they're fabulous on Blu-ray so how anyone could claim they're not up there with the best of 4K is a mystery to me. Orient Express is the best so far because it was shot on 65mm and that 65mm is modern, fine grain film stock and therefore superior to the 65mm of old. Death on the Nile doesn't quite match it because of the way it had to be filmed which involved a lot of rear projection and much computer work as a result of that (they only shot second unit in Egypt, hence the need for the back projection). But it's still a great looking film and one of the very best so far. Anything shot in large format film is better than 35mm or video, it's as simple as that. We talk about the quality of the 4K transfer but it's not so much the transfer as it is the quality that we're starting off with.

I think the 4K disc is more suitable than the 70mm print as that was a bit disappointing considering it was a bit of a faux 70mm but that's not the case with the 4K as the movie was apparently mastered only at 4K - and hence why the 70mm was a little underwhelming. Greetings Brian. I think the film may be better than I've given it credit for but the way it was made rendered much of the 65mm shoot sub-standard as it had to go through a computer to have animation added. There's no way that could have been put back out at the quality to match the original so maybe it wasn't viable to strike 70mm prints from the negative because there was hardly any of it left untouched. Seems feasible.
I really fancy watching the 1978 film again now. I think that one's a masterpiece but there was no point in trying to remake it because it just wouldn't be possible now. Where the 65mm worked in this new one made the cost of the disc worth it even if it's not all quite up to the same standard.

The green screen nature of much of it wasn't so obvious here Carl nor at the Odeon Leicester Square so it's possibly a foible of colour displays on different video projectors or tellies. The 70mm print at the Odeon wasn't what I regard as a genuine 70mm print as it was struck from the 4K video master (what a ridiculous thing to do!) but it did appear to still have the superior colour and density of film but also that unmistakable natural look. I try to duplicate the look of film on all my equipment so that's possibly why the green screens didn't make themselves as obvious on my system. Evening Dan. In Orient Express they were able to use a massive LED wall to screen the passing countryside as the train travelled the tracks. For Nile then had to fill a much larger area as it was a massive boat so they had to use rear projection. A lot of what appears to be green screen may not be but one of the deleted scenes gives away that they were also doctoring the rear projection in a computer after the scene was shot. It was clever film making but the copious computer animation dumbed down the first class 65mm quality which was a terrible shame. If the world had have been different this film might have been shot in Egypt but more likely the budget required that it was made the way it was. John.

In Orient Express the scenes out of the train were an LED wall. For Nile an LED wall would not have been big enough so back projection was used and I think some of those scenes are being mistaken for CGI. The rich, exaggerated colours in those Technicolor films did look a little surreal but a modern audience is not really used to that look. This could be why some are mistaking rear projection for CGI but having said that, there is a deleted scene with apparent back projection and where this scene was clearly expected to be finished in a computer as you can see some of the elements that have been left behind. Hello John, excellent review as always I’m glad to hear it’s a top 10 4K I saw this on the cinema in A Dolby theater and it looked really good there was a couple panning shot that looked blurry can’t wait to see if it’s that way on the 4K. I have to differ with you I am much more of a Finney fan than I am a Ustinov but when you consider David Niven as a sidekick I consider it a wash.I wished I would’ve seen this in 70 mm to see if I saw what you saw I was in Chicago the opening weekend and the music box theater screens 70 mm quite often and 35 it was built in 1929 and it’s really a cool old Theater really ornate really something to see but unfortunately they weren’t showing death on the Nile. Been really happy with my Sony OLED I was a little concerned but it would look enough like film well thank goodness you can turn off the processing and it’s amazing the difference The custom mode we’re almost all the processing is shut off and the color set proper it really does look like film or at least The best that digital can look like film, vs. The dynamic mode which bumps up the color and turns a lot of processing back on by default it looks so bad I can’t describe it . It’s amazing that one television can produce two completely different pictures anyways your theater is really looking good I’m still in the process of building mine it’s quite the undertaking as I make progress I will let you know have a great one as always cheers👍

The motion blur is still there John. I wasn't aware of any of that on the 70mm print but nor should I have been as that was a film and this is a video. Albert Finney was great in the role of Poirot but he wouldn't have been able to carry off the humour that was in the script for the 1978 film - well, not like Ustinov did. It helped having David Niven alongside to take the mickey at every opportunity and Ustinov not to notice any of it because his character was so full of himself.
Great news that your new OLED is setting the world alight. Exciting to learn that all the digital jiggery pokery can be turned off to maximise the image quality. I've told countless people to do that over the past two years, particularly when they've claimed there is film grain in a film that is really fine grain on my system. This new version of Death on the Nile should look fabulous on your new telly. We had a look at the Blu-ray on our 40 inch 4K telly last night and you'd swear that was a 4K and one of the best you'd seen so it just illustrates how good video has become these days. That would go out of date fairly quickly Floyd but the one thing I always tell everyone is don't get conned into purchasing an expensive screen, just paint a wall if you have a large enough wall available. For the rest of it, a video projector costing as little as a few hundred pounds for a starter home cinema can give amazing results. 4K projectors start at about £800 now and they give surprisingly good image quality. For sound, don't get fooled into thinking more channels means better sound because you will get wonderful sound from a stereo amplifier costing less than £100 and a pair of speakers for another £100 or even £50 if there's a sale on. That would give anyone a start for not a lot - don't forget a Blu-ray or 4K player though - and any aspect of it can then be changed down the line as your knowledge grows of how it all works.

Make sure all digital 'enhancements' or off on telly or video projector and then you should find the image quality looks more like film which is often why some discs don't look quite as good as they should. There are plenty of computer animation sequences in Death on the Nile but many of what we think are CGI are actually rear projection. In Orient Express they were able to use an LED wall for the passing countryside from the train but I don't suppose there is an LED wall big enough to handle that from the boat in Nile and hence why massive rear projection was pressed into action. Also, the light in Egypt does often make the panorama look slightly unreal and they managed to capture that in this film despite much of it being shot in England. Quite an achievement.

Without that we wouldn't know who all the players are. The problem for this film is that so many of us have seen the 1978 film as well as the television version too that we all know who is going to be murdered and who the culprit is. This film tells it a little differently which it had to but overall, it's a remake... but a very stylish and clever one at that.
With regards to the 4K of Singing in the Rain, that should be a fabulous looking disc because it was a Technicolor dye transfer release. The colour was so rich that it was unreal which wouldn't really work on a modern film but back then, this vibrant Technicolor was the ultimate for most cinemas around the world. I think the DVD of Singing in the Rain was exceptional but that may have been the LaserDisc as it was a long time ago when I was shown that. Whatever it was this does mean that going back to the best available master for this release and applying HDR to it should mean it's never looked as good for a home video release, or even a home film format release now that I come to think of it because it was issued full length on Super 8.

I think we'll all say we prefer the 1978 film Aidey but this film has plenty of strengths, not least the image quality which is better than you may think because it's not all CGI, much of it is back projection. However, one of the deleted scenes suggests that some [or all] of the rear projection shots had to be put through a computer so I may be wrong, but not entirely so I think. With Orient Express they were able to use an LED wall to show the scenery as the train passed by but the Karnak steamer was a different scale and I expect there isn't an LED wall that's big enough to fill all that background. Egypt often has that orange, unrealistic look. When the sun is low it seems to generate a reflection off the sand that causes it so that could be another aspect of why some find that it looks fake whereas I thought it was clever film making to replicate the look of Egypt as I remember it. The definition is still top-notch despite the downscale the 65mm went through for computer animation for so much of it. Look at that opening dance sequence to see how sharp it is. And the colour is saturated to the point of Technicolor, but not quite. Now I've blathered on so much I think I need to have another look at the film!

I totally agree that very often these progressive messages are overly heavy handed and forced, often being an intent to market the film in progressive circles while not actually reflecting the values of the company. however, to flatly criticize the film as "woke" is to put oneself into the same category as some incredibly nasty people, include many who harbor violent thoughts towards people such as myself and further the efforts of legislative violence against people merely trying to exist. hearing that word is a major turnoff. but, a detailed criticism with a less colored perspective on what points you feel didnt work, is much welcomed! But I didn't think we needed it pointed out that French and Saunders were playing lovers and that grates in a film set in 1937. It was obvious after all so it was unnecessary to make a thing of it so that's why I've criticized it. I didn't think it would be wise to say exactly why it grated in the video because so many people and it seems I was right as there have been one or two on here supporting this sort of thing in films despite the historical inaccuracies.

But I did like the relationship between Poirot and Salome Otterbourne even though it was unlikely to have occurred back in 1937. It was only implied though and left to our imagination and that was probably why it worked... almost. John.

@@1165mac I found it a little too much this time as French and Saunders play lesbians which was unnecessary. Two of the main characters are of ethnic origin and they were unlikely to have been treated as equals in 1937 and less likely that another main character would be attracted to one of them. I actually quite liked the attraction between the two but these woke things were only in these things to appease the Hollywood elite who apparently will not consider a film for awards unless it ticks some specific boxes. Ridiculous if true. So ridiculous in fact that it probably is true.

It is following the basic plot of the original book Peter which is all the setting up. The 1978 movie was the same and it was all about working out what was going to happen and then whodunnit. Orient Express was a little more obvious so perhaps that kept your attention more. But whatever anyone thinks of the film, it's so good to look at most of the time that it's surely got to be worth looking at. John.

What was "woke" about this film? Casting black actors?

    • @moviecollector5920
      @moviecollector5920  2 роки тому +3

The black actors were excellent Ryan but they were portrayed as rather domineering and bolshy at times. No chance of them being like that in 1937. French and Saunders were obviously portraying a couple but we didn't need to have it pointed out. That was just Hollywood box ticking as far as I'm concerned. John.

It's disappointing to hear you complain about "woke"ness and the rest of the comments here. I thought better of this channel. Criticise the substance of the film, don't fall into the trap of right wing buzzwords. You almost managed to but fell off. Very disappointing.

Honestly, ruining a perfectly good story by jamming woke political narratives in IS a criticism of the substance.
Entertainment should be entertainment, not politics. It's really weird how even pointing this out triggers you. Maybe stick to Disney movies.

Thanks for that Gord. But this was a criticism of the film because it's set in 1937 and not 2022 when this sort of thing exists. I don't think any film set in the past should try to make the past like today and that is a film criticism that I always make and will always make. Nothing to do with politics but thank you for making me realize it is considered to be right wing to not like the re-writing of history. I'm sure you didn't mean that.

Hi John, I've got a spare 4tb external hard drive if you want it and have facility to connect it up to your system - Ideally it would be connected to a PC because connecting directly to a Smart TV or similar type interface due to the files being so big i've seen it affect framerate on occasion (it would probably be fine connected with your USB port on Blu-ray player, and my issue could just have been a case of the USB ports on the TV used were slow/USB 1).
Anyway, I've upgraded my full PC system and just don't need the drive and rather than it sit doing nothing, you are welcome to it - I can post it down to you (or to a postal address) loaded with any 4k films you want (got around 587 4k movies, various series and on 4tb you would get around 60 uncompressed films).
I appreciate you like the collecting aspect, so I can load the hard drive up for review purposes and thereafter you can wipe the drive to suit and use as storage space for editing your UA-cam videos.
If you give me the thumbs up/want it, i'll work out a way of getting my email address to you for me to pass on a list of movies/series and for you to pass on address location of where you want the drive posted (wary of posting my contact email on here and also people passing themselves off as you to get the drive, but i'll get something worked out if its a go'er).

That's very kind of you Bob but please don't worry about it. I have so much disc space here that I sometimes struggle to find something when I need it. More than 15 years of filming and producing extensive documentary films has required a lot of disc space and it's all got a bit out of hand really. What I really need is a Storage Area Network but even the cheapo version Network Attached Storage would be too much expense. John.

@@moviecollector5920 Yeah, I had a look at NAS myself in case I had a drive go bad, but as you mention its very pricey.
Below video is a more cost effective and potentially better solution - Definitely more user friendly to manage.
      ua-cam.com/video/zPmqbtKwtgw/v-deo.html
I'll keep a hold of the drive then, but the offer is always there if you want to pick a load of 4k movies (for review purposes) / i'll load up the drive and pop it in the post.

@@moviecollector5920 Sounds great my old mate. Now, regarding the top 10 films shot on video, i just realised that "THE SEXY SECRETS OF THE STRIP-O-GRAM GIRLS" was shot on VHS or Super-VHS or Betamax in 1985 although with regards to its actual quality as a movie i'm the first one to fully admit that it wouldn't be good enough to make the top 100 or even 1000 let alone the top 10 so maybe you could just include it as a sort of senti-girl-tal and nostalgic honourable girl-tion simply because of the presence of the astounding Miss Hickey in it. Maybe you could include a quick clip from it as well just as an excuse to see the amazing Pauline for a few seconds in one of your videos, cheers John.
