I love Adam's commentary on films. He is spot on as usual. Even though 85% of the film takes place on or around AFO it doesn't hinder the movie in any way. The Atmos track is certainly demo worthy
I bought this again because of the dolby vision transfer. Already owned the previous 4k release. Same with mask of zorro re release steelbook. I hate it when they don't include Dolby Vision the first time around and force us to buy it twice
Outstanding detail on the subtitles it’s a subject not covered enough thank you! Also if you get the bfi release for the seventh seal I have heard they have some subtitle issues compared to criterion’s. I got the bfi when criterion announced no hdr, and have been curious, I would love to see a proper review if you also have access to the criterion Blu-ray.
Adam, glad you noted the great work of Jerry Goldsmith. The music for today's films sound dull and generic. I would suggest purchasing "The Blue Max" with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Nic Raine on Tadlow CD's. An absolute masterpiece of film scoring! It will rock your sound system. I will pick up "Air Force One" on 4K today.
Wish you had first 4k release for a comparison,as the new one is not just having DV but also way higher bitrate.Basically your review does nothing to those who already own firsr ef
I compared this to the movies anywhere version (which isn’t yet updated) and you can tell those were the early days of 4K. I don’t know if I can tell the color difference with DV but the higher bitrate definitely makes a difference.
Hmm, okay, so then this is a worthwhile purchase, cool, because I preordered this movie, about 2-3 months ago I believe… I have it so I will probably watch it tonight, or I may wait until tomorow, but I might want to use it as a comparison between an integra and a Denon AVR…
Too bad it was only released in the US, so it'll be another rather expensive import. Looks like one I will want though, so it is what it is. Which movies do and don't get international releases on 4k do seem quite arbitrary. Good review, though, which made me order a copy.
Do you see the cgi in modern movies? Quantumania is just a video game environment. It takes me out of it completely. In movies like Air Force one it’s used very sparingly, if at all.
Oh so it’s more realistic than all the movies now? In peter pan and Wendy a little girl is taking out multiple grown pirates in a sword fight. The 90s were a great time for movies. The public still viewed Hollywood movies as being kind of magic. And there were comedies. I miss those.

Glad to see this now has Dolby Vision HDR. 👍🏻
Thanks Adam.
The original 4k HDR disc is great with a loud, pumping bass Atmos. Sounds like this is even better. Thanks for the review.

They force us. Lol
Movie guy is the go to guy !
I really appreciated this review, Adam. Well done.
Thanks for this, I was just looking for a review earlier today from yourself or Films at Home.. 👍
Was just watching this last night wow! One my all time favorite childhood movies! Artwork looks like a Star Wars movie hahah

Thanks for the tip, I’ll look into that!
I'll just wait for Air Force Two to hit 4k. They'll likely do a bundle.

One of my favorite movies/guilty pleasures.
Nothing to feel guilty about. The movie's just good.
Exactly, nothing at all to feel guilty about. Now, if it were a movie called Air Force One vs Sharknado, that would be something else.
Love this film great review thanks

Isn't this the same copy as the 4K that just released not too long ago in slipcover?
No, watch the review.

This is the period of cinema where the 4K format reveals how poorly the CGI looks now.
Oh that end scene with AFO….yikes it’s bad.
True but this movie sounds better than most blockbuster movies made today.

This movie or Executive Decision?
I personally like Executive Decision’s story better, but I like the cast and score on Air Force One more.
Get off my plane!
😂😅 such a cheesy but great line
Get him off my tale !
The woman in this film apart from Glen Close were so feeble just stood around screaming and crying

Modern movie artwork sucks.
I had this on 4K already for a couple of years, is this a different transfer?
Transfer no, this one has DV.
@@MovieGuy365 Thanks!
