Protoco and I’ve always felt the same way with OSU. I usually pull for y’all. Here in Ponte Vedra..North Florida, there are actually more OSU fans than Miami fans! It’s like Little Columbus here lol some of my closest coworkers are OSU fans too. Good luck next year and don’t hang your head low...We lead America in targeting since the rule’s inception, so don’t feel too bad 😠 I hate it too!

ND! Tough getting the recruits there when the academic standards are so high. Not to call the best players stupid, but let’s be honest. They are definitely meant for football and not class. ND requires calculus which is insanely difficult. Almost no player at Alabama or LSU could pass that.

@IAmaPersion Because they felt betrayed by taggart, he lied to those kids faces, school admin. etc. Norvell oversaw a 4 year commitment and rebuild at Memphis and made a very understandable career upgrade.
The Memphis Tigers fanbase is so amazing! They mostly seem appreciative and humble and overall a good group of people. They all have good things to say about Coach Norvell and are happy for him. That says a lot! I'm excited and optimistic to have him here! Go Noles!

Robert Lee, give Coach Norvell time, but I guarantee that Norvell's 2nd year, FSU will not lose to Boise St at home and they will not need overtime to beat North South Central Louisiana Community College. And unlike your rival The U, FSU will not lose to Florida International of the European Nations. I was never an FSU fan, and even cheered for Florida because I'm pro-SEC--although I have always hated on Miami--but I will definitely be cheering for Coach Norvell to win national titles for FSU.
He gave the City of Memphis so much to be proud of, most folks didn't think they would live to see the success the Tigers have had this year. We Memphis fans are so greatful that he was the Tigers' coach for 4 years and understand that when you get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, you have to take it. We wish him the best. Go NOLES

This is just what we needed...Passion, Fire, , Discpline,Tenacity!! Hes young but seems to have that old School coaching mentality along with fiered up motivation and work ethic! Best thing is there's no better job for Norvell to jump to. Jumbo will be unemployed by mid-2021, hit the jackpot with that legendary 2012 recruiting class for f.s.u. Been exposed ever since winston, ramsey, cook, etc. moved on to the pros.
@@deanbenford7363 Jimbo had a good recruiting class width of course but the people before Nick O'Leary we had a really good quarterback with EJ Manuelof course leadership with telvin Smith Christian Jones lamarcus Joyner Terrence Brooks Timmy jernigan. We weren't just good in 2013 we were good in 2012 and 2011 also.

@@ladistar he had problems with the administration doing what he wanted and Stan Wilcox was more concentrated on basketball his wife was dealing with the divorce is son was dealing with the disease, and things just spiraled out of control. And then all honestly with Jameis able to do whatever he wanted, and the discipline just slowly started drifting away after 2013 to 14

Back here after a 9 win regular season. I started watching/following FSU fb back in 2016(not an alumni) and the last couple of years have been so rough as I never really experienced a good season aside from 2016. It feels good to support this team. Go Noles!

Mike Norvell coached up 2 & 3 stars to unprecedented heights at Memphis. Made them into NFL players. Think what he'll do at FSU! This guy will get it done if you give him the time.

FSU fans have no idea just how lucky you guys are. As a Memphis fan I've endured years and years of mediocrity in football. Mike Norvell doesn't play games. He knows how to evaluate talent and he really knows how to get the most out of his players. His play calling is exciting to watch.I will enjoy watching all my FSU buds eat crow when Norvell gets things going in Tally. You'd better jump on the train quickly because it won't be at the station long. Dude is going to be gunning for Clemson quickly.

I’m a memphis fan and just wanted to say I think the whole fan base of Memphis will support FSU when he is there. I was at the game last night mem vs cinci and late 4th quarter the news came up that he was the new FSU head coach and he got an ovation

Auburn fan here. Been watching this shitshow closely from afar. After you guys edged us in the Natty, I prayed and rooted against you guys to lose every game. Obviously it worked. The last few years have brought me incredible joy. It especially gave me immense pleasure watching clueless Taggart on the sidelines the last couple years.
That being said, I'm tired of Clemson getting a free ride to the playoffs. Dabo is getting too whiny and cocky. You guys are literally the only school that can compete with them athletically on a level playing field.
I didn't know a lot about Norvell until today. Just watching his press conference, he exudes a lot of confidence. Yeah a lot of coaches are pretty good in press conferences, but go watch Nick Saban's first press conference or Matt Rhules. Very similar, a lot of direct eye contact... little to no bullshit. Dude knows what it takes. Also, similar to Saban or Rhule, there will be no laziness off the field and limited chirping on it. Also similar to Saban and Rhule, Norvell is an old school disciplinarian as well which will help immediately with the on field shenanigans I have seen with Taggart at the helm. I guarantee you will see a lot of players lleave after year one that were part of the problem.
Although he's no Rhule, Norvell has some similarities. This was probably the best hire FSU could get. He will at least bring you guys back to respectability and probably give you a chance to beat Clemson by year three at the Doak. And I think you guys can possibly be relevant again in year two. There's no reason for a program like FSU to be middle of the road in a basketball conference like the ACC.

Taggart got fired because he took a bad team and made them worse. There was zero improvement. The team was also undisciplined.
FSU is very proud of their football tradition, and rightfully so. It didn't matter if Taggart was black, white, brown, or purple. He got fired because the school and those who have influence over the program decided that the team was not heading in the right direction, and that the results were unacceptable.

Let's see.As a fan,alum and booster I'm intrigued in if after the next 2 seasons and 1 1/4 recruiting classes if this guy hasn't made an immediate impact,will our fans,boosters,administration fire him in the name of Seminole standards.
I mean taggert took over a team that had been sabotaged by jimbo,that had been on decline,an oline that has been terrible since jameis last year,an culture of folding under pressure by our players,etc and a team that barely made a bowl if not for a cupcake makeup game.Willie was fired because in less than 2 years,1 and 1/4 recruiting classes he didn't live up to Seminole standards,not because of his pigmentation right?Our administration insisted that he was fired so that we could return to Nole standards,to make a splash hire and begin our renaissance,etc.So in as much time as Willie was afforded in the name of Seminole standards I'll give Norvell the same chance as Seminole standards permitted taggert.If he hadn't made an impact the next to seasons,1 1/4 recruiting classes and isn't fired as well I'll definitely remain cheering,a fan,alum and Supporter through cheer,But as a 3rd generation Nole my siblings and I will nolonger contribute as boosters.

If he goes after a few good Juco linemen you will know he is on point. Staff will be overhauled. Briles is supposed to be entertaining his options including Ole Miss. I am curious who the new staff will be.
I'd be highly disappointed in my university and would have recognized all that I need.the way Willie was fired is unheard of,but it was in the name of Seminole standards.The coaching standard is 3-4 years before being judged to allow a coach to get his players in and implement his system before he's judged.Willie got less than 2 years,basically a year and 1 month of recruiting classes,etc.Im watching because I'm a Nole for life,but can Never financially support firing willies like that,hiring another coach of different pigmentation,he coaching in the same realm as willie,but having our Seminole standards softened and afforded to keep his job
