When Shannon stepped in I knew the recruits was gonna flow in and he'll have a right leash on Soflo. When Golden came in I was curious on what he was gonna do. Your selection is not based on race, which hometown he came from, or if he did a somewhat good job the year before. We have over a hundred programs in Division 1 college football and what i know is that only a few handful of coaches in college football and the NFL can coach. At the end of the day can Manny Diaz coach at the highest level? And the answer in my opinion is NO!

As for why not hire a proven Head Coach ... Who..? There are very few Head Coaches that have Success at every program they lead. Just because you get a Proven guy at one School, sure as the sun is bright, does not necessarily mean that guy will be as successful at his next stop.
The fans saying we should have found someone who's a proven winner at Head Coaching, are thinking with a Regressive Mindset ... The last two Head Coaches Miami has hired were winning the majority of their games before they came here.

Thanks Coach Richt for the things you done in such a short period of time. I'm one of those who cursed your play calling and was very upset at the 7-6 record but now I can look back at exactly what you actually done for this program that will not be fully appreciated til we fans see us win the ACC and another national championship. You came in and the loses to FSU ended. You came in and a ACC Coastal was won out right. You came in and helped remind us of the days of Canes winning 10 games getting to #2 in the country and kicking ND 's azz and winning a bowl game again. Thanks for improving and helping the program to get a long needed indoor practice facility. The most important thing you did was you brought us Manny Diaz who understands what it's really takes to be a Cane. God bless you Coach Richt trying to give poor Rosier a chance to regain his confidence that he clearly has lost because of fans like me who is spoiled and have been a fan since 1969 and gotten accustom to AZZ Kicking football. You never gave up on Perry who is talented but have issues that are correctable. Lastly thank you for realizing that it was time to give it a break just in the nick of time so we could get this guy who was born and raised to be a Hurricane Coach. He has taken the ball and already started running with it but when they win it all you must remember that it was because of what you built. GOD BLESS YOU MAN YOU'RE A CANE FOR LIFE.

Every team cannot hire the coaches you mention since they are already have jobs. The young guys coming up under these guys, as Manny did under Bowden, are the future. Saban will not be around forever and Meyer just quit AGAIN! Kelly cannot win the big game IMO! You forgot Dabo Sweney at Clemson. He is another young coach that will win for years. You speak of Jimbo as he didn't just have the worse season ever, but I know what you mean!

I've been saying for months that Miami simply does not have the QBs on the roster now to get it done. Everyone complained about play calling. It's the QB's JOB to put the offense in the right protections, the right plays based on what the defense is presenting. That was not happening at Miami for the past 2 years. When Miami finds a QB of that caliber (ala the Miami QBs of old), then you will see the offense improve dramatically. Until that time, Miami needs to run the spread offense which will make the most of the current QBs ability to run. Even then, the QB needs to command the offense. It is not called the most difficult position in all of sports for nothing.

At the end of the day its all about if the guy and his staff can get the job done and it all starts with the guy (manny diaz). If the dude cant coach then all of this means nothing. Its either you have it or you dont and the coaches that rule college football from the likes of Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Dabo Swinney, Jim Harbaugh, and Jimbo Fisher all have what it takes. Does Manny Diaz have it....and it doesnt matter if he is a hometown guy or not that doesnt mean a thing...does he have it? If i had to put money on it i will have to say UM will lose for 3 more years with Manny getting canned!
