As well as making Jerry a karmic trickster ( a la Bugs Bunny, Droopy, Slappy Squirrel and AOSTH's version of Sonic ) and Tom a greedy, scheming cat ( very totally similar to Chuck Jones' later version of Daffy Duck and even Spike The Irish Dog ) while staying faithful to their original H-B counterparts at the same time ! Jerry would act like Bugs Bunny, Slappy Squirrel and even the hipster squirrel from the Arthur Davis-directed Porky Pig cartoon "Porky Chops" foiling Tom's plans in most Looney Tunes/Animaniacs/Tex Avery-esque ways imaginable like crossdressing, dropping multiple heavyweight objects on his foe, having clever wisecrack ideas, etc. Wouldn't that be great ? Tex Avery is widely regarded as one of the funniest and most influential animators in the history of animation. Known for his slapstick humor and innovative techniques, Avery created countless hilarious moments in his animated shorts. Here are some of his funniest moments: "Droopy" Series: Avery created the character of Droopy, a small and seemingly unassuming dog with a monotone voice, who always manages to outsmart his opponents. One of the funniest moments in the "Droopy" series is in the short "Dumb-Hounded" (1943), where Droopy calmly outwits a dangerous criminal throughout the entire film, much to the frustration of the criminal. "Red Hot Riding Hood" (1943): This short is a hilarious twist on the classic Little Red Riding Hood story. Avery transforms Red Riding Hood into a voluptuous nightclub singer who becomes the object of desire for the wolf. The exaggerated expressions and comedic timing in this short make it one of Avery's funniest. "Who Killed Who?" (1943): In this short, Avery parodies detective mysteries with a hilarious twist. The main characters are constantly changing identities and motives, resulting in chaos and confusion. The unexpected and absurd humor in this short is a signature of Avery's style. "King-Size Canary" (1947): This short features a cat and a canary who both continuously eat a "growth" birdseed, causing them to grow to massive proportions. The exaggerated physical comedy in this short, including the characters' struggles to move and the destruction they cause, is incredibly funny. "Bad Luck Blackie" (1949): This short tells the story of a little black kitten who befriends a poor, mistreated white kitten. The comedic elements in this short come from the absurd situations and the over-the-top reactions of the characters. "Magical Maestro" (1952): This short parodies classical music and opera. Avery uses exaggerated facial expressions and physical comedy to create a hilarious performance by a conductor who battles with his unruly orchestra members and a mischievous mouse. These are just a few examples of the many funny moments created by Tex Avery throughout his career. His unique blend of slapstick humor, clever writing, and innovative animation techniques continue to entertain audiences to this day.
