Been there. Except it was her sisters husband. The guy makes insane money, but he got lucky. A good friend his is the boss. Wasn't like he built a business from the ground up or paid his dues. Her sister is a 'stay at home mom' while my ex had to work like the majority of us.
She would always compare me to him. I pay my bills and paying my dues in a blue-collar industry. You got to appreciate what you do have, not dread on the things you do not. The whole relationship was her complaining about how great her sister's life was, how she wanted that, and throwing hints at me like I was a disappointment because I'm not making 150k+ a year like her sister's husband.
I have goals and ambitions but I have chased the money before, it either never lasted or I was miserable doing what I was doing. I agree if you see signs of a woman envy of others or constantly compares her life to others like she has a bitterness towards it. Run. Not worth it.
