When chael missed the spinning backfist and fell, I think he had paralysis by analysis. Probably was so worried about the knees and other weapons of Silva that he didn't know how to safely get up and froze up instead.

Chael was overall a great fighter with an OMEGA FUCK TON of bad decisions mid fight that turned his "Great Fighting" into (wtf did I just watch) bad fighting at times, and weird striking. But he did things in the Octagon that would make you cheer your ass off like: (trash talking people like they were trailer trash, MULE KICKING Fedor to the ground,..😂and DESTROYING Anderson Silva for 4.75 Rounds.. only to tap Silva more than he taps his wife in a week.) But yes...he actually was a very good fighter with very good wrestling and extremely entertaining to watch. He did actually beat a lot of excellent fighters as well. His career was a (7/10). It could have been a (8.5/10) if he would have beaten Anderson Silva the first fight. I laughed so hard when he fought Fedor I had to watch it again to catch it all. Also, the way Chael destroyed Wanderlei Silva exposed Wanderlei Silva's weakness in MMA when he was considered a Legend. Chael was most certainly a better street fighter than an octagon fighter. He absolutely RUINED Wanderlei Silva inside, and outside the cage to the point that Wanderlei lost some fans due to how bad Chael made him look. I would always watch Chael's fights. Win or Lose it was entertaining and you would get a good laugh. (ON A GOOD DAY) Chael was really hard to beat, and showed signs of greatness. (ON A BAD DAY) His fight would leave you in a awe of how much (WTF) shit 👀🤦♂🤷♂ he would do in the fight, and make you laugh your ass off just before he lost...lol.
He is one of the faces on the Mount Rushmore of MMA "Trash Talking". Only Conor McGregor beats him in that department. I don't know if there has ever been a fighter as good, skilled, and as successful as Chael, with as many wtf moments, funny ass striking moments, and split second horrible decisions mid fight ever in MMA but yes, on a good day he would whip "most" of the UFC back then. Overall he had a pretty good career. He basically had an identical career to Nate Diaz and Chael DIDN'T smoke pot. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The best thing Chael has done is his podcast, he is EXTREMELY smart and explains things from the business side of MMA no one does or can.
