ground breaking stuff. I had the idea to try this in one my projects to see if it would work but was feeling lazy. Thanks for this. One question though; does the 'link to' show keyframes in the timeline?
Yes you can turn it on in the timeline somewhere for sure and fiddle about with the link to sliders I believe. Glad it helped you out! It’s actually quite a quick process really to pull it all off.
I’m trying to add physics to a sword so that when I sliced through a fractured orb, it’ll break into pieces, but the sword keeps flying from my hand every time I add physics to it any help
Do love iclone, its helped me above and beyond but my hatred for the constant auto keying is unforgivable. Not sure why they cant introduce auto kframe on/off??? That constant right click > remove animation is a killer :(
All your videos are fantastic, but, in this video, I must have overlooked it, but when you threw the grenade, it appears like you forgot to unlink the grenade from your character's hand. unless the Physics engine set to Dynamic does it. Please clear this up by letting me know if that's what happened. I don't remember you saying anything about unlinking the grenade. Thanks, Terry
setting to dynamic state at the point you want to release works the same as unlinking it. You do not need to unlink it you just need to link it, the physics takes care of the rest. make sure you switch to dynamic phyiscs at point you want to release
Yes you have to always turn of physics once you have the motion you desire recorded. So just turn the physics for that object off once you have done the take that you like and then go back to beginning of the time line and press play and it should be fine.
Nice tutorial!

It looks great. It seems to work much better than having the grenade's transform animation, I think.
Please more soft cloth physics tutes in iclone 8 pls. mate - like a bedsheet being drawn up by a character to tuck himself in thx

And will all this then work in UNREAL?
Yes
whenever I use the physics, it always leaves a mess in my timeline. it's like it's always recording a motion it's really annoying

hello sir you inspre me too am requesting for motions files
