I remember going through the dial on the old TV looking for back then was bbc Wales and HTV. To my amazement finding the test card to channel 4 then for s4c was like winning the lottery at the age of 11. Big respect to both channels.
The lack of parallel lines usually meant that ETP1 was being originated at the local transmitter site rather than at CH4 itself at Charlotte Street.
From the good old days of british TV.Just wish there were still late startups on the main terrestrials today.

The track at the start was used as HTV interval music
