Cause it doesnt work in AirRB. Even accidental flare and its over for the missile and in fox3 top tier you have people flaring sjnce there are 20 amrams going on at once and everyone has spiked rwr. And yea, most people are still using combined chaff and flares since most top tier jets have pleanty of countermesuares. R27ET works only if you position yourself like bad karma does and catch them completely of guard. It doesnt work in head on when they know where you are.

actually what happens is the r27 has such terrible irccm capabillities in war thunder that it always goes for the enemy's missiles or random flare reacting to one of your teamates. It does although work quite well in sim....
The irccm on the 27et is actually quite good, the issue with all long range IR missiles is that IRCCM is only really effective up close. At long range, its incredibly easy to flare any IR missile, or have it accidentally go for another heat signature.
@@covidius9511 R27T and ET are way more sensitive in differenciating between rear aspect planes and flares. they should be unflarable even from upwards of 5-6km from behind. Not receiving missile warning is a easy giveaway to flare a bit. Even if you lock the RWR will distinguish a hard lock from the own missile radar lock. So to further confuse people, launch both an IR and radar missile.
I do this in sim all the time. I launch an R27ER and if they start trying to multipath then I immediately launch an R27ET. They'll dodge the ER but the ET always gets them.
The simple trick to evade both at once is to notch and fire chaff and flare at the same time. It has the same effect on the coning IRCCM of the ET as the radar missile basically, except the ET will require more countermeasures than the ER will. Lots of people know about this trick now and try using on me often, then i disappoint them by forcing an awkward angle and dropping R73 or R77 on their heads
This works really well on space climbers. I shoot an r77 that I almost garuntee they will defeat and then i make sure they arent flaring too and when they turn side/rear on, send the ET that will hit

Cool strat. Honestly 16 v 16 top tier is basically just a mind game. The problems and short commings you are facing are the same the enemies are. You just have to use those as vulnerabilities. Though this strat wouldn't work against me, since even when I only play BVR I turn on flares (for R-27ET exclusively) at 15km separation and dump since after I launch my fox 3 from 20 km 900m/s there are usually 5-10 fox 3 comming my way and I chaff about half of them with my maneuver.
The best part is that you dont even have to do it at long range If you're in something like a tornado f.3 you can bait aircraft into just not flaring in a
Russian planes always tweak me out so when notching when I usually turn burner off flare and change directions most people just spam r77s but I lot of su34s do this

the rafale actually can do it with the mica em or guide the mica ir with radar but having it go pitbull with the ir seeker making it basically unavoidable (you can't flare it, you can't chaff it, and you can't notch it).
@@hemendraravi4787 no they won't and it won't work as well as you expect at all simply because in this game you rarely ever are truly pursuing an enemy or off to the side, most of the time you're facing straight to eachother and in these scenarios you simply won't get a lock at the ranges you expect

only 6 from what i remembered
