To me an Indian, who has seen NY only on television NY always looked beautiful with hundreds of people walking with briefcases and there is one random fire Brigade truck going on with siren once in a while... Now it doesn't look beautiful at all
Maybe the city needs a break...she can breathe now...soon enough it'll all be back...the noise, the hustle and bustle, the pollution... crowds, more crime.... Let her take a break.
Damn. That was deep. Legitimately. Nature is a cruel mistress, but she wants the best as long as we remember to respect her! I guess every now and then she has to whip that ass with a wooden spoon to show us who's the real boss :D :D
Another great document of the times👍. Hope I'm not commenting too much but I do find these interesting to watch, and honestly, I'm running out of things to do and content from Montana. All the best, be safe everyone. -Henry
Ithaca, NY now just starting to ramp up. ...Stores and colleges ,public buildings, schools closed. People are on the trails near me just to get out. Nice to see families together with the kids more than ever. Yes... They are a five feet away from others.
2:21 Those middle of the roadway "sharrows" for bicycles always scare the hell out of me. You're fearless, ActionKid!. Thanks for sharing this video. Be well.
I'm enjoying these bike rides. Even without you talking, I am kinda recognizing where you are. This is because I've watched so many of your narrative walks. So thanks for educating me AK 👍
Thank you Actionkid for showing us NYC in this crisis that we are in right now. I hope that NYC and the rest of the country will go back to normal again very soon. Be safe my friend.
It's so weird seeing NYC like this. It looks very different. Maybe they can do some street cleaning while it's closed down. Do you wear a mask when you ride?
This kind of reminds you of those disaster type movies where there are not many people left, kind of creepy to see a large city like this, to be like this. My small city as far as I know has no cases YET, but still there is no dunny paper to be had anywhere, among other things. I am in Country Victoria, in Australia by the way.
It was like this after 9/11. Quiet. And there were cables in the gutters of the street to keep phone lines going. They were temporary and they covered them up with mounds of asphalt so that people wouldn't damage them.
Your videos are becoming a priceless archival record of the effects of this pandemic on this wonderful city. People who later study this era will be looking at them for years to come.
From about 10:00 to 12:00 you walk around 28 Liberty but never look up at it. Its roof height (815 feet) is taller than the B of A Tower's roof height!
Good . Born and raised in NYC we all need a hiatus from the hustle and running around the city everyday chasing the next dollar like a chicken with no head.
wow, Brooklyn Bridge Cityhall no skaters in front of the courthouse. Nobody on the benches... No food carts... New York is really trying to work together. Up here in the Bronx it feels like everyone working as a unit like how it was after 911.
I have a correction from a previous comment: CP Tower does get the credit for being the tallest residential building in the world. I had read it was 432 Park because it's 100% residential but apparently a building is still considered "residential" as long as at least 85% is residences.
@@ActionKid Nice dude thanks. Btw, I ran into your channel early last year when I was thinking about a move to New York after years abroad. Your video archive of the city was comprehensive enough that it helped me with scouting neighborhoods to move to -- and really made my search much easier. Really enjoy the channel and glad you're doing it.
I'm suspecting the reason you no longer talk is because you're wearing a mask... but correct me if I'm wrong. Also, in another video I suggested (don't know if you read it or not), if you have the time, that it would be a good idea to make a side by side video of same streets to show how they were prior the virus crisis and now.... thanks for the vids and stay safe!
New Yorkers are following the directive! Good for them! 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻. They have closed all resorts and hotels and wineries here in the Napa Valley. 🍷. 40 million people under the shelter in place. Ag workers exempt so they are still out pruning vineyards.
Is it just me but has anyone else experienced weeks of cloudy days and ☔?? I haven't seen the Sun in like forever! Every video shows cloudy skies. I'm from California and this is NOT normal.
Historians hundreds of years in the future will be incredibly thankful for your videos.
Only as a study in virtue signaling, and how so many impressionable people can be so easily bamboozled by the most absurd and transparent scam.
Never in a million years would I ever see this. Just got the most eerie feeling 😔
It is strange...
And it's still too crowded... in Spain we are locked
at home.It's a ghost country.
there will be always pandemics, they appear now and then
its Like the whole world is under the same hypnosis like we’re all just waiting for our next set of orders from our magic phones.
There is no greenary, its a concrete city.
Wow, it's spooky but then again with fewer people you see how beautiful NYV really is!
Better be safe than sorry.....admire people abide by rules and so on.....nice and peaceful....ta

Great documentation Kid👍🏼🦠😷🇺🇸!!!! So proud of you.
Two wheeling down the alley. Seemed like an alley, anyway.
Cool NYC tour.
The classic steam vent near the end.
The buildings of Lower Manhattan are always beautiful every day! Thank you for letting us know what is happening in the Big Apple now.
You’re welcome!
With all the empty streets, it's hard to believe you were biking in the world financial center, so unreal. Thanks for sharing, AK.
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching.
16 minute mark.... what is the little robot rolling across the crosswalk all by itself??
Robots are taking over! Lol!
I like your non-live videos better. Live videos are like we are watching in a crowd while these are just me watching.
We will all get through this 🙏🏼☺️ just stay positive. Thanks for sharing my friend.
You’re welcome 😊
0:04 Hey your ridi... Walking 😆. I'm used to your cycling videos again. NYC is starting to look like "I Am Legend"
Is it just me, or are those emptied streets kinda reminding me of when everyone was preppin for Sandy's arrival time & Shore Call?
I still love new york!!!NOW AND FOREVER!!!!!
Wow, to see the city like this 😩. So sad and scary . I love NY because of the busy life, this is so lonely . STAY SAFE KIDDO 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I used to work in that area so seeing it dead like this is...wow.
Grazie mille per i tuoi video anche se è triste vedere una New York così...
Small town, USA traffic invades the Big City USA. Weird and odd, but I LOVE IT, it's very beautiful. Thanks for posting this video, AK!

Tan tranquilo, tan pacífico.🤍 Pero al mismo tiempo tan solitario y sin vida.☹️ En CDMX, ya estamos así también.
Great video, thanks! At 16:01 what's that on the sidewalk? Is that an autonomous DROID?
AK back on track!

So the statue of the girl isn't facing the charging bull? I'm shocked 😂😂😉
She was moved a while ago

My god, there is more people walking around my city (Adelaide, Sth Australia) than New York ?!
Congratulations from Brazil!
What for?!
Normally, it's rush hour! ..... It's all happened so fast... 😔 Please continue to show us NY, but only if you feel safe enough doing it...
Thank you

Good to know!
What kind of bike setup do you use to ride in the city? Do you have any mirrors etc?
I used the Priority Continuum Onyx and I have a mirror on my glasses.

No, it’s just my preference to not narrate this video. I’m not wearing a mask.
That could be an interesting video idea!
Host town for sure thanks be safe out and about
So AK have you been over to Central Park yet in order to see how it looks over there yet?
Yes, I did go to Central Park

I think the owner(s) of the streetwear apparel line, 2OG, put the mask on the girl statue, or were the first ones to do it.
For a minute I was wondering who that girl was! Was this the statue they put in front of the Bull for a time?
@@mikeoglen6848 Yes.
at what point is the squeeze not worth the juice? Better start cutting those checks asap
Hey Ken, (no jokes) any animals around ? 👍🤔
