Is there any type of feedback based on where bombs have impacted earlier? Do they drop a 'test bomb' as they approach the target to calibrate the system?
@@maksimluzin1121 I don't mean a bomb that explodes, I mean a fairly heavy object with radiolocation, so the deflection at different altitudes can be measured.
@@LouisSamuel82 , No! At least, I never hear about such a bomb in Russian aviation. The SVP-24 system collect different data about different objects, including meteorological conditions, the target parameters (for example, coordinates), the flight parameters (altitude, speed, direction), the munition (bomb) parameters (its shape, weight and aerodynamic characteristics). The SVP-24 system even collects data from different sensors of the plane, for example, its construction vibration and other physical parameters. It is enough for the task, to drop a 'dumb' bomb with the highest precision characteristics comparable to the 'smart' bombs from a quite high altitude and distance. The pilot just select a target, and the SVP-24 system takes the control of the plane and releases the bomb automatically just before about 10 minutes before reaching the pre-calculated 'drop point'. So, the process is highly automated, at least, after 'pressing the button'... The pilot do not participate in the process at all, at least, in its final phase after selecting a target and activating the SVP-24 system.
@@maksimluzin1121 Interesting. I wouldn't have expected structural vibration to have an effect, or that you could do much about it. Wouldn't you just damp the release mechanism? My starting point would be to measure pressure, temperature and humidity at the aircraft, then use the barometric equation to get air density at different altitudes all the way to target level. With this, you could calculate the trajectory of the bomb knowing its weight, drag coefficient, initial velocity and direction. I figure it should always point in the direction of motion because of the fins, so the drag coefficient wouldn't change much. The major unknown would be variation in direction and speed of the wind at different altitudes. Not an expert but I guess that with mountains or with thermal coastal winds it might be tricky to predict. This could be measured with a Sodar if they have a small one with a really large range and don't worry about electronic emissions.

04:00 missed target
In WW2 Bombers could only guarantee to hit within 2 to 3 miles of their point of aim that's 3 to 5 km. On D Day the USAAF completely missed the beaches. One famous incident the US killed 500+ of its own troops not including wounded around 2000. The German commander opposite called on open radio and asked "if they could do the same tomorrow."
Completely missing target 🎯.
Its a drop and not a propelled missile strike.
US is saying to make attacks as precise as a surgical knife but US has never shown a single video to demonstrate it
The Russian tu 160 nuclear strategy bombers is the fastest and biggest and heaviest strategy bombers in the world 🌎 he has no analog in the world and can mark 2 points 7 times the speed of sound the while
The white swan 🦢 any aggression will be punished
15:50 “Built on our model” lmao B1 Lancer came first!
Absolutely 💯 💯 💯 💯 💯
B1 lancer is a lesser aircraft.
@@ryanalt5048 Irrelevant to Neil Matthew's comment. This show claims the B-1 is a copy of the TU-160. The opposite is apparently true.
@@5js78 The whole series is full of propaganda bullshit. After all, it is Russian...
Another absolute bullshit follows a minute later: "TU-160 and TU-95 were developed at the same time back in 70-ties." LOL. Tu-95 is a 50-ties airplane, a counterpart of the B-52.
The part with allegedly sour-faced Barack Obama is yet another fairy-tale, along with the over-heroic narrator voice.
@@PhonoDirect It may be propaganda but even the russians can't beat the U.S. at propaganda bullshit.
Tu-95 not able to drop bombs???
Tu-95MS is a dedicated Cruise Missile Carrier bomber
But the B-1 Lancer came out before the Tu-160.
Какое счастье 😃
So what?
Indian🇮🇳 Government currently discussing for the procurement of Strategic bomber ...and Tu160 is first choice...
I think..India 🇮🇳 is going to buy Tu160 from old friend Russia 🇷🇺
@@alexkor380 point is video states b1 copied tu160 design...when b1 was designed and built first.
@@McRizzle23 According to your idiotic logic, the F-35 is a copy of the Soviet Yak-141. Do you confirm?
USA and Russia the ball is up to them!
the cockpit need to be upgraded to today standard...then it will be the amazing boomber
They already did it.It was filmed 4-5 years ago. They changed everything inside.
US American's have been kept blind to all the hight tech achievements of the USSR. Of course, Russia provided the basis for education and achievements. One can find facts about Russia's high- tech universities. Russia follows and enhances the USSR policy for advanced self-defense capabilities.
Stop it. Americans were well aware of the achievements of the USSR. They were used to drive American voters to approve for massive defense budgets for over 40 years to keep up with the Soviets one way or another.
I love how the Russians shamelessly claim the B-1 is a copy of the Tu-160 when not only were the two aircraft designed to operate in completely different ways, but also because the first B-1 flew in 1974…….
function over form anyday.
The heaviest bomber in service is the Russian Tupolev Tu-160 'Blackjack' bomber
Regards from Russia !
In Russia, this plane is called the White Swan ! 'Blackjack' - this is the name of NATO and other enemies of my country ! Are you an enemy of Russia ?
Not only the heaviest, but and fastest strategic bomber too...
Успех😂🎉
Love RUSSIAN Love PUTIN
They want to make it very clear "the only base they are stationed" lmao yeah right
1550 mph, is not the fastest bomber. It MAY be the fastest in use today, but the B1A - B-1A
The B-1A was the original B-1 design with variable engine intakes and Mach 2.2 top speed. Four prototypes were built; no production units were manufactured.[132][157] = 1687...
