- What new missiles will appear on board of the Su-57? How many electronic eyes does it have? What the super brain of the 5th generation jet is capable of? Combat Approved continues the series of films about the PAK FA. This time, our film crew will witness the group flight of the T-50 and will show unbelievable stunts by the fighter pilots. The viewers will see a special rig where they teach the Su-57 to fly and fight, and its electronic brain, which can completely substitute a human during the flight or combat. In addition, the film crew will visit the famous State Flight Center, where they train the test pilots for the PAK FA. They’ll learn what tests to they have to endure on special simulators at the Aerospace Medicine and Ergonomics Research Center. In addition, Combat Approved will tell about the unique computer-helmet, which allows the pilot to target missiles at the enemy and gives all the necessary information during the combat mission. Finally, for the first time on TV, we’ll show you the tests of the air cannon of the T-50.

Russian mastery of thrust vectoring amazes me. US engineers struggled to get the concept working, but the russians consider it just another facet of the steering componets lol.
look at the exposed engines. Its part of why thrust vectoring works so well with the design. It also means the su57 has near zero stealth capabilities. So sure, it can out fly lots of planes. It wont be able to outfly a missile it never sees though

@@Peizxcv oh you mean like fuselage design, the canted vertical fins that are also control surface, the interior weapons bays, the general shape and materials used. Russia wanted a an aircraft to compete with the raptor. They did it by making their own version of the raptor.

A real beauty, and the capabilities to have the weapons inside, or detach the weapon points so that it can also take the regular role of the jets as an attacker is very clever!
This is the plus against any other newer model!
And thinking about the reality, it's the only one used is real Attacks (no staged PR show to excuse the high costs and shooting on prepared Baracks or halls we saw with the F-22), and this in itself tells you a lot!

Tracking and detecting are 2 different things also how big is the target? Radar is not so simple like eyes then also what shape was the object what angle etc
I'm not surprise at all with those achievement or advancement by the Russian capability. Industry compressor surge control or anti surge (C.C.C control (in russian) ) were develop by them from analog to digital are widely use in oil and gas industry.

Well, the design bureau's during Soviet times and after were specifically given firm orders that their planes must not only match comparable U.S. platforms but must exceed them. The fact that they were able to beat the U.S. in so many aspects with budgets that were a fraction of ours is nothing short of astonishing.
Its subtle, but when you watch American documentaries on the F22/F35/B2 etc they often say 'the best X in the world' whether it's in avionics, RCS, payload, range etc. Its the same thing only the Russians made it specific, I dont see the problem.

The rigidity of these next generation fighters is unreal. The frame of the plane has virtually no structural weak points besides the cockpit and turbine.
Upper core
It may not be LO (stealth), but it is sexy looking with unmatched maneuverability / acrobatics. But, as many believe, maneuverability is no longer a key element in RW mission effectiveness.

the cockpit canopy is still western 3rd generation, and there is still a lot of screws on the fuselage
Serial production has little to none visible screws (maybe none? I have seen none). Also a cockpit made with two glass parts seems okay to me.
@@spinningsquare1325 maybe, but the canopy frame is thicker than that of F15 and F18, F16 already move to the backside, and starting from 5th gen fighter there is no frame, this means that Russia is still way behind the western countries in material so have to use a thick frame to support the canopy

No doubt a wonderfull aircraft, but the there a heck of lot of Western technology used in its design, nearly all the computers are using MS Windows. and NEC monitors.
Even the glass fronted cabinets at 11:08 miniutes are manufacted by Rittal in the UK.
I would bet that the computers used in the SU57 are either based on or are Western designs.
