Tequila was to have a bigger role in the story, but due to Channing Tatum's scheduling conflicts working on Logan Lucky (2017), his role was reduced, and some of the scenes went to Whiskey (Pedro Pascal). The robot dogs, Bennie and Jet, are a reference to Sir Elton John's song . My favorite elton john song is tiny dancer.
I absolutely love that taron eggerton and elton john met on this movie and a few years later taron would play as elton john in rocketman, you should check that out sometime, great musical/biopic
"I'm Still Standing" by Elton John is by far my favorite Elton John song. It's picked me up on my worst days. Elton John, even on his worst days, has my full respect. That man has LIVED.
The James Bond books I will say are much better than the movies. You just have to get past a little 1960's thinking when reading them, but it's not too hard.
can never listen to take me home country roads the same after seeing this movie rip merlin you deserved better also the prequel they did wasn't too bad in my opinion just more serious and less goofy ( it still is semi goofy) then the first two also what you said at 24:34 makes it better since pedro was in wonder woman 1984
They originally had Merlin survive and be at the wedding in the end. They even filmed him in the wedding but I guess decided to cut him out of it in the end.
If you adore this one you definitely gonna love the king's man, the prequel. Even though it can't top the first one but the balance between drama and action scene was amazing. Another peak, i might say.
Love this movie! Not as much as the first one but that's just a perfect storm of all of it just working out. This one though, lot of heart, lots of fun. And Elton John swearing in every bloody scene he's in; what's not to like.
Hey Mell, (looking hella cute, respectfully) I loved your takes both good and bad on Golden Circle. Thematically, Kingsman either works better in Britain or their Statesman storyline was too gimmicky and random but as soon as they went to America the story just became a giant game of suspending your disbelief. I think the 3rd movie is the better sequel because they went back to exploring the history of the Order and is vastly more enjoyable.
The first movie had a solid plot that followed Eggsy’s journey from working class kid to becoming a gentlemen spy and learning the truth about his father’s death, with some great action scenes along the way. This one lacks that narrative core IMO - it feels like they started out by thinking up some fight scenes to try and top the ones in the previous movie and then tried to link them together. Eggsy overcoming his reluctance to commit to his relationship isn’t a strong enough character arc.
If you wanna know how the camera work was done. There is a Corridor Digital video talking to the guy who did the camera work on the movie and some other cool things.
Yesssss! I love this movie! I'm so happy you're finally watching it! Hope you enjoyed it! Some other movies you should watch are Soul Surfer, Nowhere Safe, A Silent Voice, Dragonheart, Tremors, and Silent Hill. Most of these movies I suggested are underrated and would be really popular if people gave them a chance. I hope you check some of them out and enjoy them as well.
There is one tiny change I wanted them to make in this movie. After the fight in the bar scene I wanted a shot of the bartender just standing there not giving a damn. Just doing something like cleaning a glass like this kind of bar fight happens all the time. It would be such a great parallel to the first movie where the bartender panicked and tried to dial 999.
What are the odds I'm matching outfits with mellow today. Am wearing casual beige blazer and black singlet inside 😊 And the scene with merlin still giving teary eyes 🥺
What’s funny & fascinating too is that Elton John is in this film and the actor who plays eggys also is the actor who plays Elton John in his biopic film so it kinda like poetry in a cinematic way haha
You should watch the third movie as well, it’s a prequel so not the same characters and also more serious less absurd, but really good and does an great job at showing off their own version of historical events that actually happened
The director of this movie made most of the CGI look bad on purpose. This also happend in the first movie. Both of these movies are love letters to old james bond movies.
Yes this is the real Elton John in this movie, also the actor who played Eggsy in the kingsman movie s playd the part of Elton John in the Elton John biopic called rRocket man
It’s a fine movie. Better than many and worse than many, and better than a lot of DC universe movies. IMO not as good as the first one, but it had some amazing scenes. Favorite Elton John song, Someone Saved My Life Tonight. Which they probably should have used because it references butterflies. At least I don’t recall them using it.
I enjoyed it for what it was, but it does not top the first movie. The original is better by a long shot but Merlin sacrificing himself made this movie stand out.
Definitely not as good as the first, but it has really solid action. The Kings Man to me is the proper continuation of the franchise, it strips down to the core of the uniqueness from the first one without stuff like the really goofy American plotline. It's a genuine spy thriller told in the Kingsman style.
I never heared anyone not liking this movieor said that it was bad, where does that come from??? Maybe from critics that are to stuck up and take themself to serious. Also, its not meant to be taken super serious, so why question why the CGI looks "bad" haha Also the prequel: The Kings Man Is a good one, even using real historic events/timeline to add to it.
The prequel The Kings Man was decent....but it had one of the best scenes I've ever seen from a sound design standpoint. As a man with a lot of technical video and audio knowledge you at least need to see the "No Man's Land" scene from The Kings Man and check out how the lack of sound makes the scene the standout moment from the movie.
The villain is unique Mel - but, her motivation was that she didn't want to live in the Jungle. She wanted her drugs to be legal so she didn't have to hide and be secretive - she could be right in public. The deal was that she would have immunity from charges and her drugs would be legal. What I don't get is why that would solely fall to the US president. I also thought her character was making fun of CEO's in general.
A big reason it has a negative reaction when it came out is because the trailers spoiled a lot. It's one of the best examples of a trailer spoiling a movie.
I love it when movies have a bunch of guest stars in them.its great seeing good actors playing bit parts..I liked this Kingsman but it definitely wasn't as good as the first one well not for me anyway . Juliane Moore was fantastic as a bad guy she looked crazy as hell 😂.. Hope your doing well Mello. So until the next one 💜
100% correct. The first one was the best one it blew me away. The second was fun but not as good as the first one. I hope you see the third kingsmen movie.
Yeah, eggsy real flexible. Almost like he was a junior gymnast earmarked for the Olympics team or somethin. Also in a lot of states in the us medical professionals would recommend snoop dogg’s botanical but can’t prescribe it so people have to get it illegally, chronic pain and ptsd are the cases I hear most often. Especially in relation to returned soldiers, the medicine they get is through the government so they can’t get happy leaves regardless.
I really hope the next Kingsman is better. Now I think this movie is a 7/10 it’s nowhere near as awful as it was made out to be by critics, but they definitely went overboard on the ridiculousness. They’re definitely taking their time on the third one which makes me optimistic. Also Argylle which came out this year is linked to Kingsman so I definitely wouldn’t mind having Henry Cavill in the next one or they just wrap up eggsy’s story in the next one and continue with Henry Cavill from there on. After losing out on Superman and quitting the Witcher Henry Cavill is overdue his own franchise and he fits Kingsman perfectly. He was in a recent guy ritchie movie called ministry of ungentlemanly warfare where he gave us a very different performance than his usual role as it was much more comedic than we’re used to and Henry did surprisingly well there.
With my spy name, and my idea that i pitched to my dad where we're a father and son team, he would Chicago Rum, and I would have been Wisconsin Rum. Because he was raised in Chicago and I was raised in Wisconsin
I agree with you, wasnt as good as the first one for me too. It has a couple great moments but that was it 😅. But I really would love you to watch the next movie The King's Man!!! It is soooo much better than the 2nd one
Channing tatum had to use the gambit accent he never got a chance to use on something!! Guess this was it. I bet thsts exactly what happened too lol..bro learned a cajun accent for that damn gambit role that just never ended up being made
Loved your reaction as always. You should check out society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, the acting was amazing
i love this movie can't wait till the next one comes out the critics probably found this onwe worse or maybe some people just didn't like the story or villian as much but who cares i hope you watch the prequel the kings man as well also
Tequila was to have a bigger role in the story, but due to Channing Tatum's scheduling conflicts working on Logan Lucky (2017), his role was reduced, and some of the scenes went to Whiskey (Pedro Pascal). Ppl just hate on everything. This movie was solid. I had seen this b4 I even knew about the 1st movie. This movie is fire & I need more.
I was actually sadden by Merlin's death
Real one of my favorite parts of the movie, just the dude guy dying as a genuine good guy
It cemented country road as one of my favorites even fallout didn’t accomplish that
If the critics were wrong about Hook, they're wrong about this. This is a FANTASTIC sequel, and I LOVE IT!!!
Hook was terrible
@@nostoneunturned7641How so?
Learned a long time ago that critics can munch on dick cheese, or blue waffle, not being a misandrist here.
We found the guy that's wrong
I genuinely liked it, not as much as the first but it’s not bad
I absolutely love that taron eggerton and elton john met on this movie and a few years later taron would play as elton john in rocketman, you should check that out sometime, great musical/biopic
To add to that, he also played Johnny in sing, in which he sings "I'm still standing" lol
Rocketman would be a fun as heck reaction!
Almost as if he was begging for that audition. Which to be frank, he did earn it….
It was them working together on this movie that convinced Elton to give him the role.
Rocketman is SO GOOOOOOD
"I'm Still Standing" by Elton John is by far my favorite Elton John song. It's picked me up on my worst days. Elton John, even on his worst days, has my full respect. That man has LIVED.
Especially the cover by Taron Egerton
This entire franchise has been solid!!!
Never been the biggest James Bond fan, but Kingsman is my jam!!!
Kingsman is a modern James Bond.
The James Bond books I will say are much better than the movies. You just have to get past a little 1960's thinking when reading them, but it's not too hard.
Fun fact Old Forester actually made a statesman whiskey bottle as marketing, and they supplied the whiskey used in the film
You win the editing award by throwing in the the Cerveza Cristal clip!
That shit took me so off guard 😂
can never listen to take me home country roads the same after seeing this movie rip merlin you deserved better also the prequel they did wasn't too bad in my opinion just more serious and less goofy ( it still is semi goofy) then the first two also what you said at 24:34 makes it better since pedro was in wonder woman 1984
Damn someone saw Wonder Woman 2.
Pedro pascal had the best action scenes! Loved him and Mark Strong 😢 but this is definitely one of my top 10 action movies
I will say, this movie had way better lasso-ing than in the Wonder Woman movies (well, specifically the second movie).
I cry everytime during Merlin's scene :(
I'm so glad you're finally checking out the sequel. Hopefully one day you check out Treasure Planet and Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
Bruuuuuhhh!! Aint no f**king way!!! I literally JUST finished watching your reaction to the 1st movie!!!
Destiny
We call that synchronicity
They originally had Merlin survive and be at the wedding in the end. They even filmed him in the wedding but I guess decided to cut him out of it in the end.
What the hell?!? You did a video collab with Mary Cherry and yesterday she released her reaction to the first Kingsman! Awesome!
If you adore this one you definitely gonna love the king's man, the prequel. Even though it can't top the first one but the balance between drama and action scene was amazing. Another peak, i might say.
Bros gonna lose it at the post credit scene
Love this movie! Not as much as the first one but that's just a perfect storm of all of it just working out. This one though, lot of heart, lots of fun.
And Elton John swearing in every bloody scene he's in; what's not to like.

No cap, got a huge crush on Mell...
this is one of my all time favorite action movies! the way they filmed the fight sequences and the music is flawless 👏🏻👏🏻
The first movie had a solid plot that followed Eggsy’s journey from working class kid to becoming a gentlemen spy and learning the truth about his father’s death, with some great action scenes along the way.

Yesssss! I love this movie! I'm so happy you're finally watching it! Hope you enjoyed it!

Soul surfer? 😂 No no no no no no
@@nostoneunturned7641Why not Soul Surfer?
underrated? dawg most of those movies are dogshit😭
I love Dragonheart!!! And A Silent Voice!! Great list!!
That was a good plan thing is the villain didn't count on the president being a soulless monster
3:55 that Ernest call back was so great!! It'd be cool to see you react to Ernest goes to camp.
What are the odds I'm matching outfits with mellow today. Am wearing casual beige blazer and black singlet inside 😊
And the scene with merlin still giving teary eyes 🥺
That Xchasemoney edit just brought me way the fuck back😭😭😭
Had Me dying 🤣
What’s funny & fascinating too is that Elton John is in this film and the actor who plays eggys also is the actor who plays Elton John in his biopic film so it kinda like poetry in a cinematic way haha
They call me Moonshine!😂😂😂
I like it. It's a fun movie. Partly because hearing Dumbledore and Elton John swearing. 😂 idk why..
You should watch the third movie as well, it’s a prequel so not the same characters and also more serious less absurd, but really good and does an great job at showing off their own version of historical events that actually happened
No lie Mel. That xchasemoney edit was golden. No pun attended lol 😂
13:33 I’m more of a mead person. It’s fermented honey and was a common drink for the Vikings
My favorite Elton John song is Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.
Mell your reactions are on point 😂😂😂
now he needs to watch the kings man
Egerton and Elton actually became friends during filming. So much so that Egerton played Elton in his “biopic”
Personally I don't understand the hate this movie gets. I love both movies.
As a Native, my Statesman handle would be Fire Water.
Of course, if I have to retire. I'll find another Native, who'll succeed me.
The director of this movie made most of the CGI look bad on purpose. This also happend in the first movie. Both of these movies are love letters to old james bond movies.
Agent Tequila looks like John Steed from The Avengers at the end of the movie.
My favorite Elton John song is I'm still standing.
Goodbye yellow brick road is my favorite Elton John song.
Honestly I love this one. I watched the first one in theatres and enjoyed it but this film is the reason I got hooked. Can't wait for the 3rd one!!
Fun fact: This one is better than the third AND Argyle 🙂
I liked this movie. Of course people hate everything nowadays.
24:14 Shoutout Kentucky
I peeped that XChasemoney edit @ 7:47. Whoever is responsible is a person of culture! 😂 PLG 4L
😏🤣 Probably The Funniest Moment Of His To Me. Besides His Rage At Midnight Club.
I enjoyed it for what it was, but it does not top the first movie. The original is better by a long shot but Merlin sacrificing himself made this movie stand out.
Oh my god finally the wait is over
Mine would be Hennessy or Gin
Gin Is Fire!

I like to think she switched it out, but made him think it was his friend anyway.
Another movie you should watch is the Belko Experiment
Great video! Hope you do the most recent one that came out
Aye mello fam i enjoy your videos definitely because you have the those other extra lil videos in them alot of them are hella funny
To me, the people who hate on this movie and others like it, are people who just hate fun.
These movies were incredible
You're background looks 🔥🔥❤️
Another goated reaction from mello 🎉😂
Mel not the dog. Dude like his best mate died as well 😂
🤣
This movie lowkey goated Elton mad underrated in this
I never heared anyone not liking this movieor said that it was bad, where does that come from???
Maybe from critics that are to stuck up and take themself to serious.

It's not as good as the original (how could it be), but I still thought it was really good. Merlin's exit was epic.
Next, react to “How High” with redman and method man!!! It’s very funny and entertaining!!!! 10/10 definitely recommend
The villain is unique Mel - but, her motivation was that she didn't want to live in the Jungle. She wanted her drugs to be legal so she didn't have to hide and be secretive - she could be right in public. The deal was that she would have immunity from charges and her drugs would be legal. This and X-Men First Class is the same director
I will always die on the hill that this is a great sequel
i don't know why every movie u watch ppl say it sucks, smh🤦♂
Because People Have Their Own Opinion.
I'd be 4-Loco

A big reason it has a negative reaction when it came out is because the trailers spoiled a lot. It's one of the best examples of a trailer spoiling a movie.

I would be Captain Morgan or just Rum.
Hope you watch the prequel! They did an amazing job!
The family guy cut in the beginning made me cackle
The briefcase gun reminds me of Desperado. Have you ever reacted to it?
My name would be Rum for the Statesman.
Now for The King’s Men
Oi bruv this is a right proper movie cheerio mate
With my spy name, and my idea that i pitched to my dad where we're a father and son team, he would Chicago Rum, and I would have been Wisconsin Rum. Because he was raised in Chicago and I was raised in Wisconsin

I have been waiting for this moment thank you for watching this movie Crunchy road take me home to the place I belong
I think it's like Men In Black the fun is being introduced to the new world. So it's hard to top it with a sequel.
Loved your reaction as always. You should check out society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, the acting was amazing
The CGI works for me because it’s stylized
Channing sounds like Billy Boyd.
i love this movie can't wait till the next one comes out the critics probably found this onwe worse or maybe some people just didn't like the story or villian as much but who cares i hope you watch the prequel the kings man as well also
