My mom and dad pastor a church. We are always looking for crafts to give as little happy to our musical department to let them know just how much we appreciate them. I think these would be adorable with little song books, and music notes. Much love!
Awww! That would be cute! I do know these are great sellers at craft fairs. I've had a lot of ladies tell me they sold completely out. The snowmen are great sellers as well.
Normally I would look at the finished product and think, "that looks so hard to make, I could never do anything like that. Then watching the tutorial, I'm thinking, I could do that!! Thank you soooooooo much!!!
I LOVE your projects!!! You "dumb" it down, show step by step and explain the why's....which is what I need. It not only makes it really fun, but the project comes out really nice!!!!
Soo darn cute!! I use to do mice in the 80s.. It was the thing to decorate with back then and I still have some of them. One is missing an eye but he still goes on the tree every year.. Thank u for teaching me how to make my own!!!
Every home needs a Christmas mouse and yours are cute. I have a Christmas mouse on my tree every year and it gets hid and the girls try and find it before Christmas...lol...I love watching them every year and they love the game of finding the mouse.
Crafting hack/tip to help... for blush, to save buying blush. Take the flat end of an everyday crayon and twist it into the cheek area...works great for rosey cheeks!
So cute, I have a few suggestions for you that may make these a little bit easier for you. first with the whiskers it is much easier if you take your whiskers and cut them a little longer x them over each other and glue them under the nose first. then trim. also for your eyes and nose use the same black puff paint but squeeze it out onto was paper let it dry on that then peel off and glue to your mouse. that way if the paint does happen to spit you won't ruin your project.... Happy crafting!!!
Thank you for being so thorough in your explanation of steps and all the hints and tricks you give, especially what to avoid. This is such a cute craft.
It is October 31st in Australia 2020, and your post came up in my list. I really enjoyed watching you create these mice with socks. I’ve previously made mine with pantyhose and stuffing, but I think I’ll give these a try with my grandchildren. Thank you for sharing.
i am so going to make a few of these to put on top of our fireplace... you are so talented and I love looking at all your videos... I hope you keep doing them and thank you for sharing x
Ive been looking for a mouse for a couple years now. My mother said all Christmas trees should have a mouse by it. I'm definitely going to make this for our tree this year. Thank You 💞
They are so cute. making my list for supplies and get busy. So I will have them ready for next year. Thank you for sharing. You are a great teacher. Also love your Gnomes. It was too late could not find sox for them. Everything was already picked over. That is also on my Honey do list. Thanks Again. Happy New Year and God Bless.
Googly eyes are great to use for the eyes also, really gives them personality! I've also made bunny rabbits with rice and socks for Easter, they are cute too...gonna make one of these...tfs
Hi, HappyBird! Your video, in my opinion, is very well done, and easy to follow. I have already made three of these mice; an inspiration hit when I saw a pair of child's socks with a "CAT" dressed up as Santa -- I thought it was funny and clever to have my mouse wearing a "CAT SANTA" stocking cap! My only comment that would seem critical is that I have never even heard of PuFFY paint. What a trip that stuff is. It takes a long time for that PUFFY paint to dry and you have to be extremely careful to set the mouse aside to dry where it cannot be disturbed; that issue is from my own lack of knowledge. I found some great little heart buttons to use and some really cute candy cane buttons for the candy cane, rather than making mine out of pipe cleaners. I like Stephanie Trumbele's suggestion and will try that on a few I am planning to make soon. Instead of using the "cord" for the whiskers, I used a black, very fine metal wire - they look perfect. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love of crafts.
I love the Christmas Mouse. It was hard to find some of the things I needed for Christmas projects this year. So I am doing some for next year and I am definitely going to try to make this cute mouse.
I just love these cute little mice !! I made quite a few. Last year I did the snowmen but this year the mice make their debut !! I found these cute little wooden hearts at Michaels and paint them pale pink and used them for the feet. Makes a nice sturdy stand too and you can paint some little toe details on there with a sharpie pen if you want. Thanks for sharing this. I'm already thinking those cute snow bunnies for next year. :)
There will be more coming around July or August in my videos too! I generally start with the Christmas videos during that time to give people enough time to craft for their shows and such. I'm so glad you are enjoying my projects Hun! Have a Merry Christmas! :o)
Ok im subscribing. You are to the point from the start, no blah blah blah about the traffic on the way to dollare tree or your lifes story. Your voice is so so easy to listen to. The ideas you have are simple but so very worthwhile to make. So im a subscriber now. I love it. You have no idea how many people have voices that make me want to cut my eardrums out and they are loud and make dozens of videos a month. Ugh

Very nice tutorial, cute little mice. Another idea for the eyes could be little black beads.
Crafting hack/tip to help... for blush, to save buying blush. Take the flat end of an everyday crayon and twist it into the cheek area...works great for rosey cheeks!
you can use floss in place of upholstery thread if you don't have it on hand! cute mouse!!
