I had aced those sewing cards so well that by the time I was 6 , I got my first pattern to make Barbie doll clothes. My mom just sat and watched me go. lol

I, too, had sewing cards and had patterns for my Barbie doll. I also had a mini sewing machine. What fun I had!!!😊
I enjoyed your ornament tutorial. For over 25 years I've had a Chris Mouse tree and decorate my home with Christmas mice. Knowing that I collect the Christmas mice, family and friends have gifted me many over the years. When I unpack them for the Christmas season is like seeing old friends again after a long separation. LOL! Your ornaments are so cute!

I remember sewing cards as a little girl. We also used them in my special education classroom to help kids develop small motor skills. 😊
And I sewed those sewing cards as a kid, too. My Mom taught me a lot. She was a fabulous seamstress, knitter, and stitcher.
Every time you add something I think you are done. But then you do something to make it EVEN MORE AMAZING! I would have NEVER come up with the STITCHING IDEA! The Christmas mouse is a holiday MUST HAVE. You make my day every time you come on!❤️🎄🥰

I just love these mice ornaments. I have always collected and asked for them every year when I was working driving a school bus for our Christmas exchange and they always had a hard time finding them. I love this Idea and I am going to make some Thank you so much for sharing

Beautiful decoration. Just to let you know you don’t need glue for the tails of bows. Use a lighter and gently swipe (quickly) a cross the end of each tail and it sorts of melts the end so no threading .

I taught preschool for approx 30 years. They don't really have the sewing cards, or they are antique, but they now have them made from plastic and shoe laces to sew through the holes. They are good for teaching eye hand coordination and for finger dexterity. The mice ornaments are adorable.

Goodness me these are cute! I must try the self stick laminate, although if making a lot of printouts two sheets back to back in the laminating pouch will work (one side laminated) but I usually don't make a lot so self stick is cost efficient for me. I laugh when you say "you could always leave it like this" I'm so glad you don't, you always manage to get the finishing touches just right and these will look super on the tree. Thank you ✨✨
Yes, I love the self-adhesive laminating sheets. It leaves a glass-like shine without having to use resin. I think it also brightens up the image itself. Thank you so much for leaving such a kind comment!

Thank you so much for your sweet comment! Yes, Christmas card and tag images will work beautifully as well. You can also use the adhesive laminating sheets on top and it will give it a glass-like finish.
As I am in the UK frequently we cannot easily access the same crafting items, however, your video’s are so good at inspiring us that we find compatible supplies and adjust accordingly. The inspiration you give is The main thing and I thank you.

Just adorable! The clip art is really cute. They do still make lacing cards for kids. My granddaughters loved them. I love the borders so I'm going to have to get myself a cutter of some sort. Thanks for such an informative tutorial.
